Out of 5 dishes ordered, only French onion soup was great. Everything else (crispy frog legs, steak tartare, pork chop, and steak frites) was anywhere between sub par and just OK. Nice selection of French wines. We waited for about half an hour between soup and appetizers.

Engaging server; very tasty food; terrific atmosphere; unrushed; just nothing not to like about this place. Just a bit too expensive for regular dining, but that is always up to one's standing in life. Great place to commemorate a special occasion. Even fellow diners were accommodating [and enthusiastic].

My new favorite place in Asbury Park. Everything was fantastic from the moment we walked in, with the hostess wishing my girlfriend happy birthday (from my mention in the reservation) to the amazing food and service. Escargot was amazing. Entrees cooked to perfection. Dessert trio was the perfect size and the port flight was divine. Thank you to our seever Chris for making it a terrific experience!

It' s an indoor French Bistro, as if you couldn't tell from the name! Thoroughly enjoyed the charcuterie plate, escargot, and ny strip w frites. I saw another table enjoying their mussels and frites apps. Even their ketchup tasted better than anything I've had before. Berkshire porkchop was awesome also. Desserts are great, but they are heavy and dense, so expect to go home and sleep for 12hrs! Even the hot chocolate was awesome. I can't wait to try this place for brunch one day! Victoria was my server, and she got 25% since everything she recommended was on the money! Since everyone seems to ask--with a Kettle One Martini, Stella Artois, and cappucino total meal was $176 before tip. Set your budget accordingly.

Sabine & Pascal is a great spot for a drink or some outstanding French inspired dishes. The ambiance is welcoming, cozy and engaging. Jeff, our server, struck the right balance of attention and knowledge to make our first visit fun and to set us up to be repeat visitors

This is a must-try restaurant if you like French food. Every single thing I've ordered on my multiple visits has been absolutely delicious. I'm not a wine connoisseur so I usually just get one of the cheap wine by the glass and they are always delicious. Friends of mine have gotten the cocktails and they are beautiful and delicious. The escargot is beyond amazing and their crusty bread basket alone is worth the trip.

Restaurant came highly recommended by a friend. Love the decor and ambiance. Service was wonderful. Sommelier was very knowledgeable.and recommended a wonderful French wine to compliment both my and my husband’s meals. We were there on a Saturday night and it was quite loud. The butternut squash soup was delicious. My husband had the escargot and he said it was just OK. For dinner I had coq au vin. Again it was OK. Unfortunately it was quite bland and flavorless. My husband had the steak frites. The filet he ordered was the toughest piece of meat he has ever had and again not much flavor. Hoping that the restaurant sees this review and makes some changes. We would love to return and give it another try in the future.

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant!!!
However, the presentation of the entree was very disappointing. I mean, come on. I ordered a steak and it was just a piece of meat and some French fries on an oval white plate. Looked like my everyday meal at home. Needs some sort of decoration to make it more appealing. But the steak was excellent!!!

We were there Saturday night October 21to celebrate my daughter 's birthday. The service was excellent and the food was good. However there was a table of 10-12 mostly young women sitting near us who were Sooooo loud. They were literally screaming not talking to each other. I know you have little control over the situation but this really spoiled a lovely evening for us. We could barely hear each other talk. Don't know what you could have done but we left disappointed.

We loved our brunch here. The atmosphere was great for old friends catching up. The French-inspired brunch menu was delicious. We loved the french toast and duck bacon, especially. Best of all, there was lovely jazz music being played. The violinist and guitar player were excellent.

The best food in New Jersey, in my humble opinion. It is too expensive to go often, but the ambiance is entrancing, the service is always impeccable, and the food is consistently incredible, no matter the season.

We came for our anniversary and it was our first date night away from our newborn. The food, the drink, and the ambiance was so wonderful it made being away from our babe so much easier! In fact, we only discussed baby things till we had our first app then were so distracted by the food we were able to relax and finally enjoy ourselves.

can't cook Sent out skate wings that were full of ammonia, indicating a long past due freshness. Coq au Vin, just fair, not really the dish, and the chicken had no flavor. French fires over fried and burnt tasting, could not eat them. breads and desserts just Ok.

While the food was quite good, the service was not favorable. Our waiter was overbearing, and essentially ruined our meal by coming to the table every five minutes. It felt like the wait staff was trying to push us out the door from the minute we walked into the restaurant.

What’s all the fuss about?

My wife had mussels, they were fine. I had a completely uninspired dish of Tile fish over Cannelini beans w escarole. The beans were underdone and the escarole, which I assumed came as a vegetable should, was dispersed through out the beans like parsley garnish. The fish was over cooked and bland.
When a restaurant offers a limited number of entree choices as does P&S they’ve got to get it right.

I was underwhelmed by the food preparation. My hanger steak was cooked to perfection and tasty but the accompanying frites were a disappointment (soggy and salty). Other members of the party has the chicken pot pie which was tasty, but why not butter the outside of the dish so the crust doesn't stick to the outer part of the dish. A good crust you have a hard time removing is a waste. The burger that was ordered was cooked as ordered and tasty, but again the frites were disappointing. The waitress couldn't seem to get the proper drink order ordered. The dessert was very good but pricey. With all the hype we've heard from friends and in the press, we just don't see it.

There are not many really good French restaurants in Monmouth/Ocean County, but Pascal & Sabines provides real deal French comfort food in an atmosphere that is warm and not pretentious in the least. The two bars are nice and most evenings pretty busy and a bit louder than usual on our most recent visit, but it was a Saturday late dinner. The menu is small, but nicely thought out and the food is always excellent. I could eat the potted lentils five times a week they are so good. We had a mix of dishes this time. The tilefish was superb and so was the skate served in a very tasty glaze. The mussels were steamed in a lovely white wine, butter sauce. Everyone at the table was impressed with the food and the service was solid, as usual. The wine list is a bit pricey, not many offerings under $50 a bottle, so be forewarned. This is a great place for a romantic dinner, especially on weekdays when it isn't quite so noisy.

Consistent as usual. First nite with new fall menu. The cheese board was excellent!! We had the tile fish and a NY strip for dinner and both very satisfied with the portion and the quality !!
The place was packed and I thought with a late reservation that we would be pushed back a bit . Much to our surprise we were called at the exact time I booked.
Keep up the great work and Ashley our server was awesome too!!!

This is the third or fourth time i have ordered that gourmet burger. Hate to say it, but this last time it was so-so. Seemed smaller and the quality of the meat was not as juicy or flavorful as days gone by. So at this juncture I would be very hesitant to spend that kind of money on a common-place burger.
