The staff was amazing! Asia is a server I would request again!! The Manager Maura made my family, who were celebrating our parents 54th wedding anniversary and my brother-in-laws birthday a fantastic night! The pastry Chef made an amazing flourless chocolate cake which we all were scraping our plates! My Mom took three pieces home and we were enjoying the next day! My Dad loves the Sardines! We all loved the cheese & meat boards! It was a delicious and fun evening!
Good location for date night with good selection of foods a moderate prices. Was a little noicy for first date conversations but but would be great for get togeehrs of friends and located conveneiently to other Ashbury Park venues.
Out with friends, service was perfect and the food and drinks were great! Great place to go for any occasion!
Excellent but food was too salty and a little overpriced
In the last year or two they started to believe they could make more money by charging NYC prices and cutting the size of their portions.
I'll take my business elsewhere.
To start with I was disappointed to see that only a Brunch Menu was being offered for our seating at 1:00pm on Fathers Day. The time that It took for the kitchen to get our meals was exceptionally long. The dishes were good but minimal for the cost. Lastly this is definitely not a French Restaurant.
The noise level was the first thing we noted. I could not hear the waitress over the very piercing voice if the woman sitting at the neighboring table. The noise continued. Every time a cocktail was shaken we had to stop talking.
Most of the food was good but not spectacular. For example: the pork chop was tasty but the fingering potato’s were under cooked. So undercooked that none could be eaten.
I don’t think we will be returning to this place.
Like many "good" NJ restaurants that are a little trendy this one hit the spot on ambiance and decor, though only one end of the table had any light so the other needed flashlights for their menus! Service was a little un-attentive and the waiter opted for more expensive wines by the glass than ordered, also one person received the incorrect dish because the description of the special was a bit murky (we though there was an option for 3 cuts of meat, but there was not & when he ordered filet he got fries, which he doesn't eat at all). I tried about 9 dishes in total, I thought all were solid- though nothing stellar. Everything was slightly over-salted. Nonetheless, I would go back and would tell friends to go- with the understanding of what you are getting... which was solid food, make sure they understand which wine, and a cool place to hang!
Every part of the dining experience was amazing! When we arrived, we were greeted by the charming hostess Tori who took care of us beautifully. We decided to have dinner at the bar where Mat guided us thru the drink menu and dinner menu. Everything we had was amazing!
This was our second visit and was most enjoyable we did miss the valet parking though
it was great. enjoyed the drinks and the service tonight was very good. of course we enjoyed especially the soft shell crab and mussels.
Food is very good, but a little overpriced. Our waitress was also very good- friendly and professional, but the hostesses at the front could use some work.
very good, very expensive but, hey, you get what you pay for.
This place was truly awesome. Inventive and incredible cocktails including The Jackal and my favorite, Joh Division. Also, friends had the French blonde and their famous Manhattan and were raving about them.
French onion soup, cacio de pep agnolotti, crab cake, beet salad were the highlights from the small plates. The soup was as good as it can get for French onion. Finally, we got the porterhouse for 2 and shared with 4 people. It was beautifully cooked, I mean beautiful, and absolutely amazing.
Creme brûlée and beignets for dessert were also a hit. The service was excellent and would highly recommend.
Hostesses were not welcoming-looked boted
Seems to have lost some of it's earlier "wow-factor." High NYC prices with only mid-level variety / quality.
I’ve been to P&S several times for dinner and always had a good experience so decided we’d try for brunch. Evidently dinner is their strong suit.
From the bartender disappearing, to the bartender later yelling down the entire length of the bar, to the incorrect meal being brought out and the odd “additional charge” for salad dressing - the staff seemed more interested in winning the battle, yet they lost the war.
We’ll try our luck elsewhere.
Just keeps getting better and better.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Pascal & Sabine's. Overall everything was delicious and we enjoyed the evening. The service did seem a bit off their normal rhythm which was what we had experience in the past. It did not impact our experience but it was noticeable.
Food and service was exceptional as always. This is my second time going and we love it here. However, at 6:45, the only available time slot that day, we were seated in the furthest back-corner table. Why? There were empty tables on the way there. We had a good time nonetheless, but some of those very same tables were still empty when we left. It just made us feel less than special — especially after spending almost $100pp.
Arguably our favorite restaurant on the Jersey Shore. I would love to see the duck 2 ways re added to the menu and even some new additions ... service spot on and friendly .
The burger is delish! We have dined at the restaurant three times. The first two the food was amazing. This last visit we had the French onion soup, which was very good and the burger and fries. The burger was good, the fries were over cooked. The waitress was on top of it and brought us out a fresh order, Overall, it is a charming restuarant with delish food.
Thought it would be French bistro ambiance. It's actually big and loud.
Every single food item ordered came floating in butter and garlic.
Woeful lack of creativity or taste.
Impossible to taste the fish or vegetables. I would skip this place.
Awesome food and service as usual... can rarely go wrong here
Lovely restaurant. Menu was small and felt fancy for the sake of being fancy. I had the coq au vin which was very nice. The problem was the sauce was excessive and The mash potato was lost in it. The sauce was delicious though. I wish they had more choices on the menu. The chicken dish was 40 dollars which is a lot for roast chicken. THe trio of deserts was fabulous. I would definitely go back and would recommend if you don’t mind paying over the odds for a limited menu with great food
We really like Pascal & Sabine for special occasions when we’re at our beach house in NJ. The aesthetic is lovely and the cocktails are terrific. It can be a bit pricey in regard to the food: we ordered a starter of yellowfin tuna & bonito belly (one of the “Can to Table” options) with a price point of $35. It was tasty, but ridiculously overpriced for what was served. I get yellowfin tuna in oil at Whole Foods that is just as good and costs @ $8.99.
The wait staff are friendly and attentive. And you can have a conversation because the noise level in low/med.
EscarGO get some! NY and burgers were cooked to perfection, and tasted great!
Great atmosphere, great food . Real cool place .
Service and the people are terrific !
Love Sunday brunch at Pascal and Sabin. The food is amazing and the staff is wonderful.
Drinks and snacks at the bar
Cocktails divine as always !
Loved the cocktails, the selection of wine, the food. Didn’t love the seats in the booths, they were too low, felt like I was a child at the grownups table, and I am 5’ 6”. The service was outstanding, just would change the booth seats.
Lovely evening celebrating my birthday. Food was delicious and very attentive service
We always enjoy our time at Pascal & Sabine. The ambiance, service, and food are consistently excellent!
Definitely recommend this restaurant...food was outstanding...service was top notch...atmosphere was city like....portions on the small side tho.....but would totally recommend....went for our anniversary and they made it very special for us :)
Great food and service. Expensive but worth it! Too many other restaurants just miss the mark, Pascal and Sabine never fail to please.
We usually love Pascal but we were very disappointed tonight with the entree’s. They must have a new chef. The Dover Sole, $65, was not seasoned well, undercooked and too salty. The Chicken was too salty and not seasoned well, and the Soft Shell Crabs special were too salty and greasy. The mussels white wine dunking broth was not rendered enough and needed more seasoning. I’ve had all these dishes at Pascal before, and they tasted completely different tonight, and not in a good way. Worst of all, the Pascal Manhattan cocktails, which are usually my favorite, had too much Vermouth. Where have you gone Pascal and Sabine? I will change to “recommend” if the food improves next time. For now, would not recommend.
Bright spots were the charcuterie and NY Strip Steak.
Service was very professional, food salty on everything I like salt but this was over the top
