Pars Cove Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Everyone was very accommodating. We were stuck in some outrageous traffic and called to let the know we would be late. We ended up being an hour late but they still had a table for our group. Wait staff were attentive and the food was good. It was a nice relaxing evening after the stress of getting there!
Lentil soup was very good. The lamb kabobs had good flavor but, sadly, were overcooked. The server never came back to check on us or ask about our food. There were very few people in the restaurant so not sure if he was also the cook. After paying the check we received a rose before leaving. It was a nice touch but not enough for me to come back.
A wonderful meal with friends at Pars Cove. We were greeted warmly by the owner and seated at the table we requested. Our server was friendly and attentive. After we ordered, the owner stopped by our table and said he was sending over a platter of appetizers at no charge. The platter included hummus, tomato and cucumber salad, three Persian spreads, potato salad and dolmeh, along with freshly-baked flatbread. Each meal came with a choice of salad or soup. My wife had the lentil soup, which was delicious. We ordered the lamb fesenjan, the chicken kabob and the saffron chicken. Everyone loved their entrees. The meal ended with complimentary ice cream with honey desserts. The whole bill for three people, including several soft drinks and tax, was only $87. What a great deal! And, as always, a free red rose presented to my wife when the bill arrived. We will definitely be back.
Arrived for our reservation and was told that they did not have a table. About 10 minutes later they found one and seated us. We promptly ordered drinks and then were left alone for about 35 minutes - no drinks arrived and the server did not return. Finally one of our group physically tracked down the server in another part of the restaurant and asked her to come to the table so that we could order dinner. 15 minutes later, still no drinks and no server. Other tables seemed similarly neglected, and from what I could tell, there was just one server for the whole place. So we walked out, letting the owner know that we were leaving. I have never walked out of a restaurant before, but a 50 minute wait without any explanation was inexcusable. We may have hit an extraordinarily bad night, but some sort of explanation would have gone a long way. If you are extremely short on staff, why would you fill your restaurant and then be unable to provide service?
Pars Cove has to be my best dining experience ever. The host was very gracious and seeing how it was a reunion for me and my friends he recommended he decide the menu options for us to give us the best from his menu. The food was amazing. And not expensive in the least. He even gave the girls in the group roses and took a photo with us before we left! First meal of the new year and what a great experience!
The owner operator was friendly and very accommodating. Provided free samples. Food was excellent. Great veggie options. Staff very friendly. Prices were beyond reasonable for portions. Would go back next time in the city. Great finishing touch, gave the ladies a rose at the end of dinner.
Nice neighborhood spot with varied menu items. With a cute interior and set up conducive to conversation, Pars Cove is a safe bet for Timeline Theatre patrons looking for dinner before or after the show. Prices are reasonable for what you get and roses for the ladies are a lovely touch. The food is acceptable, not fantastic. Wine list doesn't show prices or labels, just "cabernet," "malbec" etc. The gentleman I took as the chef/owner came by our table several times, which was nice, but the servers seemed a little spaced out. If it were a BYOB I'd probably be more interested in returning.
We all enjoyed our meal very much. The flavors of all our entrees were delicious. The appetizer (mixed sampler) was wonderful as well. The only criticism I have is that we had a few different waiters during our meal, so we didn't really know who our waiter was. It didn't matter that much though. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and will come again when we visit Chicago.
Quality Middle Eastern spot on Diverse. My friend and I did a deal with an appetizer sampler, soup or salad for each of us, two entrees, and a bottle of wine for $69. Great option! I enjoyed all the different items on the sampler, the lentil soup was delicious, the veggie saffron entree was excellent. Only item that fell short was the lamb kebab entree - I usually like lamb on the rare side, they cooked it rare the way I ordered, but it was a bit chewy. Have it done medium, it'll be more enjoyable. Service was very polite, not too intrusive. I'd happily go back.
A real find. We were looking for a restaurant near Timeline Theater. Pars Cove popped up on a list. We had never heard of it, but the menu sounded intriguing. Our 4 course meal at a reasonable price was excellent. An appetizer plate, followed by salads and two entrees were all delicious. My wife and I shared a lamb shank and chicken combo. The chicken was tasty and succulent and the lamb fell off the bone. Definitely a place to return to.
