Parky's Smokehouse Ratings and Reviews
I was happy with our service. I feel the pricing is high. You receive two regular sides that I feel are small, like a 1/2 cup portion. On all entrees you pay additional for two regular sides or premium sides. We never received baguettes with our meals, even though it was to come with the entrees. I think for what the restaurant is as a family restaurant with family style ambiance, it is over priced. Service was great, but for the pricing and everything a la carte was not suitable. I had a 3 course platter with half rack of rubbed ribs (an up-charge for the ribs), beef brisket and pulled pork and all was dry. I should not have to cover it with bbq sauce to make is have some moistness. I was looking forward to the restaurant and yet the food was over priced. The portions on the entrees were good, the side dishes were small.
I reside in Indianapolis and a friend recently moved to Lebanon. I chose this restaurant based off of location and menu. I was quite surprised once I arrived that she had never been there! The service, food and atmosphere was truly Amazing! I will definitely be driving back to Lebanon to dine at Parky's!
Thanks to opentable, we were seated quickly. However, as a table of 4, we waited for drinks, apps, and to order. One of the worst experiences I've had. Ribs were ok. Apps were comparable to what we could have made at home. Manager came out to apologize, but was for show. He started walking away when we tried to offer feedback. I'll never eat there again.
Nice and knowledgeable servers. My wife had a pulled pork sandwich which was generous in portion and served with numerous sauces to try. At the recommendation of my server, I had the coffee crusted Ribeye and it was fantastic. Not very thick but VERY flavorful and cooked to perfection (medium rare). I'd go back.
Our family was celebrating the marriage of our son and daughter-in-law. ...a party of 16!!! Ages from 2 yrs to ?????? We had a great time. Fun and very energetic!! Our waitresses were superb! Friendly!! Service was outstanding!! Mr. "Parky" is a hoot!! We hope everyone has the opportunity to visit Parky"s. They will love it too.
Service excellent, weeknight dinner, restaurant fairly empty. Great specials. Great BBQ, wide variety on the menu. Make sure you verify your open table reservation, the hostess will not understand what your talking about and then you get a no show ding letter from open table.
We have eaten at Parky's many times. The service is always friendly and attentive. This time for some reason we did not eat the items for which they are know: pulled pork, barbecue etc. Instead we had taco salads, chicken salads, sandwiches. And they were fine, not great just fine. Their specialty items are what you should go for!
We were meeting family from out of town and this restaurant was a good central point. It was very accommodating for our large group (11 people) and very friendly. Our waitress, Ann ("The Hat Lady") was fantastic! The owner also was there and it is clear he sets the tone for a very friendly restaurant with outstanding service. The food was good and very reasonably priced. We would definitely return.
We made reservations with Open Table to be certain that we didn't have to wait on Easter Sunday. The restaurant called the day before to confirm our noon reservations. The variety of food on the menu have increased since our last visit last year. Everything was well-prepared, exactly as ordered. Waitress Kelcie was pleasant and efficient, visiting the table often enough that our beverage glasses were never empty and empty plates were promptly removed. My pulled-pork dwarfed the toasted bakery bun. In the past, I've found the house BBQ sauces lacking, but now both the Sweet sauce and the Spicy sauce are tasty.
Had sandwiches before, but ordered a full dinner this time. The sweet potato casserole was great and so were the beans, but the pulled pork was divine!!! They are getting better the longer they are in business. Enjoyed our dinner very much. Good portions--not too much and not too skimpy. Just right. Onion and Oink--yummy.
