No doubt, The Parkway Grill is the best restaurant in Pasadena.
The food was good and not very expensive. But the service was not great. I specifically said we would share everything— appetizer, salad and entree, one by one. Of course all the dishes came at same time. We had to let the fried cat fish sit there to wait for us to eat appetizer and salad first! The waiter didn’t come to the table even once to ask if we were okay. Last time at Parkway Grill, all the appetizers and salad came at same time but at least the fried cat fish was after that, so it was very hot. This time the fried cat fish had to wait. Also, I was very surprised that it was very noisy, can’t have any conversation at all. Maybe just that night.
Great place for a nice, quiet business lunch. Food is great. Service is terrific. Recommend highly.
First of all I would like to commed our waitress, Colleen, for being so conscientious for my special needs. The $75 seafood tower which consisted of oysters (not sure what kind, but they were small), giant prawns (approximately 10' were meaty and delicious), King crab legs (tiny legs of a king crab) and Atlantic Lobster (looked to be about 6 ozs. possibly Canadian lobster because it didn't quite taste as sweet as a Maine lobster). The Organic Field Greens salad was nicely put together but was drenched with a little too much dressing, the squid ink Tonnarelli which had sea urchin and lump crab meat was satisfactory but nothing to get too excited about, the Chilean sea bass was thicker than most restaurants and it came with Shimeiji mushrooms in a champagne yuzu miso sauce, all of which blended together to make this a very nice dish. The pan seared Lake Superior Whitefish that was served with mushroom risotto, asparagus and a pea purée was the best tasting and perfectly prepared dish of them all. Because it was Valentines' Day, the restaurant has naturally hectic, but the waiting staff was friendly and accommodating for the needs at our table. Overall, Parkway Grill exudes class and excellent food and made the Valentine's Day dinner enjoyable.
Excellent food, wonderful ambiance, superb service, valet parking, great place for a special occasion.
We had a wonderful corner table. The service was top notch. The food was delicious; we had the 16 oz New York with Gouda mashed potatoes and the broccoli, which i would Hobbs like Gor, just for that! All around, superb; can’t wait to go back!
A friend and I share the same birthday so our husbands tool as to Parkway Grill to celebrate. They had a lovely card on the table for each of us and also brought us some very pretty flowers. We felt very special. The food and ambiance was fantastic!
Our server, Ron, was amazing. The food is always great and the ambiance is over the moon.
Significant changes to menu. Asked server if they still had the Thai pasta and lobster crepe and normally they would check with the chef to see if they could do it. No offer just nope we don’t have. Disappointed no attempt to solve.
Didn’t have wine ordered from list. Took them 20 mins to figure that out.
This has been our favorite restaurant for over 20 years. It is always fabulous!
