Incredible service and incredible food . I definitely recommend trying out this restaurant. I really big on costumer service and this place nailed it. The was incredible .
I absolutely love this little restaurant. My only disappointment (again) with it, is asking for Kettle One vodka for my cosmo and not being served Kettle One.
Food was fantastic and service outstanding
Great dining experience! Food and service was excellent! Would highly recommend this restaurant
I love the Park Side, but there was a new prep chef on the evening we visited. A few of our food items came out a bit subpar, but were quickly remedied by the manager on duty. They run out of table bread around 8:30-9:00pm on busy weekends. The bread is good, so we were a bit disappointed. We were offered free dessert for our trouble. The wait staff and management were very friendly and accommodating.
Cheryl our waitress was terrific. Food was amazing!
This is the best place we have been in a very long time! Service and food are excellent. Apple tart is best dessert anywhere!
Always a pleasure eating at Parkside.... Duck, scallops, pork loin and mac & cheese were all delicious!!! The specialty drinks were nothing special = don't bother!! Cherylanne was a great server!
***Word of advice for visiting in the winter months = don't sit under any of the windows!! Prior to asking for a new table, we actually had to wear our coats and scarfs because the draft was horrible!!
We had a wonderful meal. Our food was amazing. The mussel app was fantastic. The parkside salad was simple and tasty. The blackened cod entree and the pork mignon were both fantastic. Can’t wait to come back.
Always a lovely experience and interesting menu. Valet parking which is a must in downtown.
Food was outstanding, service was great. Warm and cozy on a winter night. The smell of the delicious food greets you as soon as you step inside!
Tried it for the first time after Parkside was recommended by 2 friends. Food was outstanding. I had scallops with sweet potato gnocchi and it was heavenly. Everything about it was great and I’d highly recommend.
We love Parkside - from the convenience of the parking valet service to the cozy atmosphere, good service, and always delicious food. We didn't realize it was Restaurant Week when we booked the reservation, so we experienced somewhat tighter quarters and more conversational background noise than usual, but nothing that interfered with our enjoyment of the occasion.
Good service and food. No kids menu, but they will accommodate your custom requests. We ordered pasta with a side of Italian sausage for our tween... ~$6.00, more than fair. Overall, food was well cooked and presented and tasted good, but the coziness that could have been was ruined by our freezing our butts off every time the front door was opened. Takeaway? Don't get stuck in front near the window.
The food was decent for most courses, but never more than that. The service (it was quite busy) was sporadic, and our sever didn't make much of an effort to connect with us. The prices were too high, even with Restaurant Week going on, to warrant our experience overall. We were disappointed.
Went on Friday night for the restaurant week menu. We ordered a pizza off of the regular menu to start and that was amazing but the restaurant menu was not. I only got 2 oysters instead of the 3 it said on the menu and the octopus entree was so salty it was inedible. Then the dessert came in plastic cups with whipped cream out of a can. The whole thing was pretty disappointing.
The meal was fantastic from first to last course, the salad was a complete meal in itself, very creative. I had the salmon which was cooked to perfection....and the desert, yummy👏
I’ve dined at Parkside for years. Although I now live in San Francisco, Parkside is still my go-to for great food, great atmosphere, and an overall fine experience when I come home to Providence. This visit was an extra special experience thanks to our wonderful waiter, Ricky!
I went to Parkside for Restaurant Weeks and will be going back. It was absolutely delicious food and wonderful service. A bit pricey for my day-to-day dining preference but would be very nice for a special occasion in the future.
Have been here many times over the years. This time, the food was okay, but not great. It used to be. In Providence, the culinary level is high.
It was restaurant week. Not busy when we got there, but we were rushed along by Nicole. We were celebrating and would have liked to take our time.
No offer of bottled water. Tap water served that clearly isn’t filtered and tasted particularly horrible. Though we did not get the wine, beer, cocktail menu, we tried to order drinks. I asked for a “citrusy” IPA. Was told none were, with no offer to check. I asked for the list. There were IPAs that were.
Drinks barely on table. Asked for time. Not 3 minutes later, there was waitress asking for order. We gave in.
I ordered the chicken salad sandwich, asking how it was from the slightly sullen and impersonable waitress. No help. It had cranberries and walnuts in it. All good sounding, but it was awful looking: discolored and mauve from cranberries smushed in. Tasted ok, but not attractive. Had to get up after no check on us for 10 min to get ketchup for tepid fries. Yikes.
My friends had restaurant week menu. They liked food ok. I noticed the blueberry parfait, served in a wine glass, had no liner plate. Not very nice looking, nor easy to rest spoon.
Waitress became cheerier when she dropped check. I hate that.
Not planning to return anytime soon
Great food and service
Amazing meal and excellent service!!
The Parkside continues to provide great food and tremendous service. Consistently one of the best values in Providence.
Honestly it was just OK. There’s a lot of choices in PVD and this wouldn’t be my first. It was good but doesn’t exceed expectations. Service was subpar even though the restaurant was empty on a Friday night. Drinks were way too strong. Food was good but was average.
One of our good places in Providence. You can't go wrong at Parkside.
The temperature in the restaurant was much too cool. I had my jacket over my shoulders the entire evening!
Great New Years Eve dinner with the exception of a ceasar salad that was a total disappointment. Otherwise a full five star experience
As always, great selection and excellent presentation. We’ve never had a bad experience at Parkside.
Our family of 4 went for a New Year’s eve dinner. We were seated right away. All of our meals were excellent. The calamari and octopus appetizers were fresh and tender. The chutney that came with a calamari really made the dish. My husband had the seafood special which was swordfish. He loved it. I had the Lemon and Cashew chicken. The chicken was nice and moist. We will definitely be dining here again!
We love Parkside. Food is generally delicious although my husband’s pork chop was dry this time. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed but another waiter picked up the slack and made sure we had a dessert menu. Delicious apple tart ala mode . All in all lovely evening.
Food was good and our waiter was extremely attentative, not bothersome. Excellent evening.
Food very salty. Empty restaurant very poor service.
We love Parkside. You can always count on a great dining experience provided by a fantastic serving staff. The food is out of this world and prices more reasonably than “fancy“ restaurants that deliver for less value. Which is not to say Parkside is anything short of a very fancy joint.
Was a great birthday thanks to good food, good service and good company.
The food was great and the server was friendly. The setting was nice and great for a date night or anniversary. The food was on the expensive side but that's expected for this type of restaurant. Finding parking was a huge downside.
We were there on a busy Saturday night in December. Our reservation was for 6 people, but a friend showed up and wanted to join us. Staff converted our table to 7 with a smile and no complaints. Service has been excellent every time I have been there. Food is fresh, and there's something for everyone.
Romaine lettuce recall still had Caesar salad being made with endive and mixed greens, so we opted for the crab cake appetizer which was perfect for sharing as well as delicious. Special entrée that night was grilled swordfish with a scallion cake and asparagus and presented very nicely. Double pork chop cooked to perfection but too huge to finish in one sitting. No room for dessert, just a glass of port.
Noise level was not energetic it was ridiculously loud and could not hear the waiter. seating was tight and felt like we were dining with the neighboring tables and front kiosk. Waiter was great but food service was rushed-- Each course was brought out before finishing the previous. Chicken with cashews had no cashews. In and out in an hour (and not by choice)
