Oreded. NY Strip. The steak was served cut in three. Never served that way. The preparer cut across the grain kinda ruined the steak. Staff gladly removed from the bill and comped me a flourless chocolate torte that was outstanding. Will definitely be returning.
Very disappointed on our recent dinner. 6:30 reservation, didn't get seated until 6:50 - no big deal, place was busy. Appetizer of dumplings came out very quick and were not hot.. next was soup which was hot. Had the burger and it was very tasty but again not hot, just luke warm as were the fries. My wife had the cod, which she liked but the carrots had a heavy maple glaze on them. Had to ask for bread and water refills.
Will give Parkside one more opportunity and consistency has been an issue lately.
This was about the 6th or 7th time I’ve been to Parkside and it is always excellent! The waitstaff is courteous and very attentive. Then there’s the food..the food is amazing! Every time I have a different dish and everyone has been a winner. This time around it was a lamb special with mushroom risotto. The risotto was rich and creamy with the lamb prepared to perfection. I always recommend the Parkside to anyone asking for a nice restaurant in Providence! Thank you!
Food is good, could improve on attention to detail, we were seated by their prep room, they left the door open a lot, the smell and the breeze make the experience not very pleasant
Food was outstanding. Very prompt at getting us seated even though we were early for our reservation. Waitress very attentive to us all evening. Will definitely try to get back when in area again. Noise level a bit loud due to large groups on Valentine's and weekend.

Delicious food and friendly service. Bit crowded and loud but we go often so expect that
first time we have been disappointed at Parkside, unfortunately we were introducing friends to the place! Do not let them seat in backs to the front windows a a cold night!! Or, any night. The bench seats are too narrow to relax, and on a COLD night you freeze leaning up against the window AND patrons we standing holding the front doors hopen. I should have insisted we be moved.
Food was excellent, very busy night but staff handled it very well.

The first time we visited this place it was quiet, the food was delicious. Service was also great. No complaints for the price and quality of the food. I liked it enough to reserve dinner for Valentines Day. We get there and grab a drink waiting for our table. It was chaotic and busy, not a place to enjoy a romantic laid back dinner. We were seated on time and had the same server as last time. Very professional gentlemen. We ordered apps to start and asked the server what he would recommend for wine, he uttered some fancy white wine to which I agreed to try. Well I had to stop him about 15 minutes later thinking he may have forgotten my wine. Which he did and frantically came back with not white, but red wine. At this point I just figured well I'll try it. But wasnt pleased with the taste and really wanted the white. The apps came out and were delicious. The dinner came out and the duck I ordered was chewy and fatty. Overall for the price it's not worth it for the food you get. I wouldn't go out of my way to make reservations there again unless I perhaps stuck with my choice of dinner the very first time I had visited as I would be hesitant to try another meat they serve.
Cocktail was poorly made and had shards of ice, the bouillabaisse was watery and tasteless, and the cheese was out of the fridge. Still, I enjoyed my wife's company!
Outstanding as always! I'm sure it was one of the busiest nights of the year and they were perfectly accommodating. Dinner and service was perfect.
Went here for the first time for Valentines Day. We were able to secure a last minute reservation and the whole experience was wonderful. The restaurant was so nicely decorated for the occasion, the staff seemed unphased by how busy the restaurant was, our server was extremely friendly and professional offering suggestions, the food didn’t take long to come out, the food was one of the best meals I’ve had in some time, the dessert was so delicious as well - all around great.
Now we remember why we celebrate Valentines Day on an off night. Parkside was hopping. Server was not up to Parkside’s normal attentiveness. Apps were not served together. Second round of drinks was wrong. Had to ask for bread. One meal was delicious, the filet. The second , just so so and it was the Osso Bucco special.
Will return on a quiet night and get the great service and food we are accustomed to.
Love this place, not the best experience
Absolutely hated the table beside the kitchen which we were seated at. I had a clear view inside the ladies and men’s rooms. I was excited about what I was going to order as I perused their online menu before arriving, only to find out that the online menu is “very” old. The food, although second choice, was delicious. Ordered a half bottle of red wine after ordering our entree, but it did not arrive until after I had eaten half of my meal. Actually, I stopped eating my dinner until my wine arrived. It was Valentine’s Day so it was very busy. I probably will not go back anytime soon.
Wonderful experience. Food was fantastic as was the service. Will definitely be back in the future.

Went there on a Thursday night, as not crowded at all. Service was great, with very good food as always. We have avoided this restaurant on the weekends as the noise level is quite high. That is why the weekday venture was perfect. My only complaint is the noise. Otherwise, an outstanding downtown Providence restaurant just a small step down from top of the line.
Our party of 5 was seated immediately, despite arriving several minutes ahead of our reservation. The service was friendly and the food was good. Prices seemed a bit on the high side, but not outrageous. I was very surprised that there were few, if any, vegetarian options on the menu. The coffee, on the other hand, was probably the best I've ever tasted!

The overall experience could have been much better if it weren’t so loud. We couldn’t hear the server and had to yell to talk to each other. My entree was bland but the appetizers were good. The beer I got was great too. The others enjoyed their meal, so our only gripes was my entree and the noise level.
Stopped by with my folks for the last night of Providence Restaurant Weeks. The food was, no surprise, great, delicious and arrived in a timely manner. Despite the restaurant being packed, we never felt rushed and even took advantage of their delicious sweet treats to end our experience. Shout out to the staff who were all working their butts off and delivering!
I took my nephew and niece there for a belated Christmas dinner celebration. It was a quiet night at the restaurant. The waitress was pleasant. The food is excellent, especially their rotisserie selections. They have a nice selection of wines as well.

Another fabulous dinner at Parkside. This time we enjoyed a Restaurant Week luncheon which was delicious and presented beautifully.
Not knowing what to expect we were pleasantly surprised. Our meal was exceptional. I had the short rib with olive oil potatoes. Absolutely delicious. Sorry I don't remember our waiter's name. Very good service. Yes, I will go there again for dinner sometime. Thank you!
This is one of my favorite restaurants. Great food and incredible service.
The noise level was uncomfortably loud. It significantly detracted from the experience of enjoying good food. We had to leave before our usual dessert because we were tired of shouting to one another to be heard, and constantly repeating everything we said, despite sitting next to one another.
We had an excellent dinner. The food was great as was the Service.
Went to Parkside on New Years Eve which may have not been a good idea. Service was great from the front bar to our waitress. Unfortunately the food did not match up. I ordered the shrimp cocktail appetizer which was ok. Could have been a bit colder but was served at room temperature. Second I ordered a Caesar salad which was drowned in dressing and then I Ordered Duck L’orange which was so tough I couldn’t even cut it with my knife and the skin was soggy. My husband on the other hand had the short rib which was amazing and he also had the appetizer colossal dumplings which were amazing. I won’t recommend until I go back a second time, which I will since my husbands meal was fantastic. Perhaps it was because it was New Year’s Eve and the place was really busy. I’m always willing to give a place a second chance especially when I’ve heard great things
My partner and I had a wonderful New Years Eve dinner at Parkside. The atmosphere was lively and fun, food and drinks were delicious and the service was first rate. I look forward to returning again soon!
Went for dinner on New Year’s Eve. Food was phenomenal! Service was fantastic. Pricey but worth it. Great atmosphere. Overall great experience.
Great service, outstanding food and fun atmosphere. Parkside is always a delicous meal. Apple tart for dessert is one of a kind - we get it every time and it gets better each time. Drinks always done perfectly and the filet mignon is THE best. Sides are all delicous especially the spicy corn and the pomme frites
