I have to say that I booked this restaurant in error. And I would also like to say it’s one of the best mistakes I ever made. From our greeting to our departure, we enjoyed everything about our experience. Will definitely add it to our list of favorites!!
We weren’t sat
Love this restaurant...The only issue was they were overbooked on reservations so we had to wait a half an hour for our table. Through no fault of the restauratn, Open Table was allowing reservations outside and it was freezing out so they had all of these reservations to accomodate as well.. The manager was incredibly gracious and paid for our bottle of wine...Would definitely go back again..
Excellent food and service. Noise level not conducive to conversation on busy nights.
FOOD GOOD BUT NOISE LEVEL VERY HIGH. CANNOT HAVE A CONVERSATION WITHOUT
CONTINUOUSLY REPEATING ONE SELF.
Impeccable service. Food was very delicious, lots of flavors. Delicious combination of French, Italian and American fare cuisine.
We enjoyed the Parkside as always, had to sit at table when we normally dine at bar, service was
not as good but the food make up for that. Always a pleasure!
Slow service throughout the meal especially getting the entrees to the table.
burgers and chicken over cooked. it was a not great
ear at the restaurant often and not sure that I will go back anytime soon our burgers were overcooked and my chicken was very dry
great food, atmosphere and service upscale crowd but not stuffy
Great food and fine atmosphere. Nice location near the river and convenient for Waterfire.
Fabulous place to have dinner with a group of friends before Waterfire. Great food, attentive staff, reasonable prices and the perfect downtown location.
My wife told the server that she had a food allergy and they ignored it bring the meal with the ingredient.
That was bad and could have made her violently ill.
What was equally bad was how the manager and the owner handled it. They offered to prepare the dish. We paid the entire bill, left our meals and will never return.
We would warn anyone with a food allergy from staying far away.
The owner was insulting.
Fun evening food was delicious
Waiter was excellent
We sat in the front window and enjoyed the views of the restaurant and the street. Service was attentive and food was good, not great. There were many delicious-sounding items on the menu, so perhaps we just picked the wrong ones that night. We would go back again.
Loved it! The manager was excellent! Had to make some changes. Very accomadating@
Everything about the place is excellent except the noise level.
Very difficult to have a conversation at dinner table volume.
Work on the acoustics and earn that fifth star.
Great experience with very good food and excellent service. The noise level was quite loud and it was difficult to hear dining partners. We were there on a night which also featured WaterFire so that may have contributed to the crowd and noise.
A wonderful eclectic restaurant. Very good food with many varieties available. Nice bar. Great drinks. Everything reasonable but not cheap. Love the food and selection.
Pre-waterfire meal and everything was tasty with the exception of some chewy, underdone lardons in the coq au vin. Service was kind and attentive.
My birthday buddy and I went there to celebrate. The food was delicious, the staff very welcoming and they surprised us with a piece of delicious chocolate torte for dessert. Highly recommend.
As always Parkside doesn’t disappoint. The lunch menu has something for everyone and it’s reasonably priced. The service was outstanding and we all enjoyed the atmosphere for lunch. It’s on the list of reliable restaurants when we’re in Providence.
Live Parkside. It’s my all time favorite. But Wednesday nite I could smell raw shellfish as soon as I walked in. Immediately after ordering the cod special I regretted it thinking the mussels,on more than one special, were leftover from the weekend. My dish was not what I expected.. too soupy and not a good flavor.
Very good food, menu and service. Really quite noisy
I always like the food at Parkside and this time was no exception. I had flat iron steak, my husband had the double pork chop, both were delicious. Service was fair despite the fact the restaurant was quite empty for a Friday night. Our waiter didn’t seem particularly interested in waiting on us, but the good made up for his lack of enthusiasm.
We have drove by man times and finally decided to try with another couple. All of own meals were simply amazing. From the duck to the Staler chicken to the cod everything was hot and prepared very wonderful to the taste.
A very pleasant experience. Love the menu because it allows you to customize your meal. We are repeat customers and have always found the restaurant more than willing to accommodate and make it worth coming back.
Food was terrible. Chicken dish not edible. But they did take off check. Took 30 min to get order in And longer to get food
Would not go back. Shame cute place
Visited Parkside, will not go again. Service was slow on a weeknight that wasn’t busy.
Food was very sub par. Had a $17 half rotisserie chicken over fries. My date had maybe a 3 oz piece of sword fish. I do not recall the price. Took 2 hours to eat there. 15 minutes to get my beer.
We love this restaurant and eat here every time we are in Providence
Parkside is always a fun place for a good meal. We went on a very busy day when there were other events happening around the city. When we arrived, we were told it would be about 20-25 minutes before they could seat us outside (as requested). We understood and went to the bar for drinks and an appetizer. Good thing we ordered the appetizer, 45 minutes later they came to seat us and wanted to put us at a table that was inside and had been empty for the last 45 minutes. I was not pleased; we declined and waited for a table outside. Several minutes later, we were outside at a nice table. Our waiter was frazzled, which is not surprising. It was utter chaos and it appeared the manager did not have things under control. We were very patient and in the end, it paid off and we each received a complimentary drink for our hassle.
It was a nice night out, I am glad we did not have anywhere to be and the food was as always very good. I would definitely recommend Parkside, but would not go back on a night where there are lots of events happening in the city. They are not prepared for large crowds.
Always a great meal. The chef is fantastic and the staff always friendly and attentive.
This restaurant accepted a reservation for "outside seating". When we arrived at the restaurant we were told that outside seating is on a "first come first serve basis". we did not get outside seating after waiting for 45 minutes. ended up eating at the bar. disappointing.
We were so pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. When I heard the name "rotisserie" I thought very casual with nothing too innovative. I was wrong. The rotisserie chicken with cashews was amazing along with the steak, frites, duck and everything else that was ordered. Generous servings, good wine list and really professional service.
delicious oysters to start their house chicken with the herb sauce is always a classic and loved item however they do justice to all their dishes and had some really appetizing specials going also. Highly recommend this restaurant and since they do what they do well but without much fuss and fan fare over it you can still get in for dinner without a massive wait time. Great value for fine dining down town in providence.
I hate to say it but I have not been to PS in a very long time! Not because it wasn't worth it, it is a long trip for us to go to "Downcity" because we are "native" Rhode Islanders and we do not like to travel very far from home!! For our Cousin's Club Luncheon I chose PS out of quite a few places. Mainly because of their location, a great looking Lunch menu, and the amazing prices they offered on their menu. I must say that myself and my family were VERY IMPRESSED with The Parkside. We could not have asked for a better venue to meet. I think you are back on the list to try dinner some evening, regardless of the distance we have to travel!!
We returned for a second consecutive birthday dinner and pleased to fine James was once again our server. We actually ordered the same two entrees as last time because we enjoyed them so much. It was a quiet Monday night, which made the evening even more enjoyable. We love Parkside.
Fun and elegant
Could have been better
