Terrific food.. Rigatoni with crab in white sauce, the poached salmon and the daily special of sea bass were beautifully presented and delicious. The only drawbacks to this place are the closely placed tables and dining guests who are too loud. It was very difficult to talk to one another for a table of 4. We would dine her more often if it were not so VERY noisy.
Five adults: three with well-prepared entres and two with way-over-cooked entres. Service was good. Pay attention to the specials - they tended to be better than the standard menu.
Food was just ok. Menu looks good then food was disappointing. Steak was not good. Pizza mediocre.
Worst thing was the abysmal service. Left dirty dishes on table for ages. Waited a very long time for check. Actually since no wait staff was in sight for at least 10 minutes we finally got up from table and went to greeter to ask her to find our waiter.
This was our second try here. (First Time was disappointing too. ). Won’t be going back.
Food is tasty. Portion on my salad was minimal -- lettuce does not cost much -- I felt they were skimping and that did not feel right -- otherwise tasty local place with nice servers.
Took elderly parents there, surprisingly loud unfortunately. Tuna, usually my favorite, had heavy sauce on it which masked the taste and it was quite over cooked.
Love the location; the redwoods are magnificent. Food and service are exemplary, and the wine list is excellent. It's quite pricey, though; so be prepared!
Attentive, unobtrusive service. Without asking, we were given a quieter table when an unexpected party of 7 was seated next to us.
Have been going here for years, have always been pleased.
We had a very very good dinner at Parkside Grill Sunday night. Our waiter was stellar ...he's been there a while and he is very, very service oriented.. just a terrific person!
We went for the special Valentine's Day Dinner. Wonderful menu selections. We enjoyed the Dinner
Booked Valentine’s Day reservation via open-table and there was no indication it was fixed price. I have a gluten sensitivity and most of the menu I couldn’t eat and they only were able to modify a few dishes. Service was was appalling comparison to normal, our food kept being delivered to the table next to us and not once did they come by to top off wine. For dessert they were able to get me a gf cake which they normally have however my dates dessert had a raspberry which was moldy. I really hate to give bad reviews especially to a place I frequent for their gf pizza but considering we spent significantly more on the fix price meal that we didn’t know was happening, and got worse service, and food, it’s just disheartening.
We went for valentine’s day. They had a pre-fixe menu, which was an unwelcome surprise. The table next to us also wasn’t told in advance. We ended up switching to the bar for better food choices. Service was great. Food was yummy. Goat cheese is always sure to please. Just wish we could have ordered it at the table as planned.
Pleasant, enjoyable; food was a little disappointing. Roast chicken was too dry. Our guests were disappointed in the Chile Relleno. Salads were good as were dessert.
Lucky to have this great restaurant in our own backyard - we are happy regulars - only criticism - they took my daughters very favoriter upside down cake off the menu - see it mentioned in many reviews and server said people have said they miss it too - bring it back!
Delicious steak with a sublime sauce. We were seated in a booth so conversation was easy and the restaurant was not too loud. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. We were not rushed.
Very good meal, great service, and a cozy, gorgeous setting as always. $25 corkage fee is a bit steep though.
There were 4 of us for dinner; as each of us finished our meal, one of your servers immediately removed the person's dishes, etc. So I was the last to finish, and felt that I must have been eating too slowly. Most of the restaurants that we enjoy always wait until EVERYBODY at the table has finished before removing the plates, etc. I think many of your patrons would appreciate if you make this change. I think that many of us would give you an additional star or your rating scale. Thanks very much.
Had a wonderful dinner with friends. Nice table too.
Service was wonderful. Food was not great. Who serves pasta Vongole with olives and capers? Salt overload.
I was disappointed with the fried oyster sandwich. It was too hard cooked. It would benefit from a light sauce on the bun and not so over cooked and hard. I do love the food in general and am rarely disappointed
Always a great meal. Love PSG, the food it quite good. The menu is diverse and I like a ton of things on it I like. I cannot recommend PSG any more, it is terrific.
Table was easy when we got there. Friendly hostess.
Service was slow. Drinks took 20 min to get. One of the meals didn’t come. Looks like they forgot to order it and nothing was said other than it’s coming. So the rest of our food got cold why we waited.
One of my favorite spots. Great food and excellent service!
Black pepper crusted ahi tuna was fantastic as well as the goat cheese appitizer
The food was scrumptious as usual. Their goat cheese appetizer never disappoints! It feels very cozy.
The only downside is that it is a bit noisy to carry on a great conversation.
The food here is usually very good, but this time I ordered my burger medium rare, and it came medium well, and the fries were only luke warm. Hopefully just an off night , because I really like the place.
They did comp me a desert after I mentioned the above.
Parkside Grill has been a family favorite for many years. You can count on good food and excellent service.
Outstanding experience! The wine, appetizers and entree were so delicious. And the staff are always hospitable!
We had the pasta and it was wonderful. Great waitress also. Love this place.
Very noisy Hard to talk across the table. Energetic is not a good substitute for very noisy.
We dined on xmas eve. We were sat next to the kitchen door stuck in a corner. I wonder if the reason was because we reserved over Open Table, thus we get the kitchen door table? Nonetheless, we do like the overall ambiance of the restaurant. Lively, warm, good clientele. Our waiter greeted us with "what do you want to drink?". Not happy holidays, hello, welcome, how are you, like he greeted the table next to us. They must have been regulars. An unfortunate start but we wrote it off as he was perhaps disgruntled that he was working the day before xmas. The table next to us was offered Prime Rib as a special. We were not. When I inquired as to the reason why we were not offered the special, our waiter indicated that when we sat down, there wasn't prime rib. When the table next to sat down 15 minutes later, there was. The table was set very simply with salt and pepper shakers, nothing festive considering it was xmas eve. We liked the varied menu with some creative choices. My date ordered a pasta dish that was tasty until the parmesan cheese was added, then the overall flavor was salt. My crab and avocado Cesar was very good with a generous amount of ingredients. We had to ask for fresh ground pepper for my salad and parmesan for the pasta. There was one gentlemen, perhaps the Manager or owner, that warmly greeted certain parties, although we were not on that inclusive list.
Excellent service. Food is always good, not amazing, but consistent. Loud but has character and local flair.
Always a great meal. Best part of PSG is the menu. Varied and good. Never know what to get because I like so many things they have.
Had lunch here with 2 friends. One friend ordered the fried oyster sandwich and she enjoyed it very much. Apparently she typically orders it when dining here. I ordered the Chilli Releno, as did my other friend. It was covered in the most revolting looking gelatinous sauce that I had to scrape off. The Chilli Releno was stuffed with chicken cubes - rather than cheese. Very odd. The batter surrounding the Chilli was paper thin and slid off into the revolting sauce when I sliced into the chili.
My friend enjoyed her Chilli Releno - I did not enjoy mine at all.
We ordered the warm apple strudel with vanilla gelato for dessert. It tasted stale.
The last time that I ate at this restaurant, I enjoyed my meal. This time, I thought the food was awful and I will not return. The parking situation was dreadful and I had to park at the local library - about 1/4 mile away.
Very good food but was short staffed and rushed. They rushed us because they were short staffed. Was not attended to at all. Had to ask for everything we needed which consisted of bread and more hot water. Expected better service. Food excellent.
Wonderful food but squeezed into small table with limited access and egress due to another table much too close to ours.
This restaurant was highly recommended to me by a friend and the next time I got together with a girlfriend I couldn't wait to try it. I was not one bit disappointed! Pleasant ambiance and wait staff, quick service yet we were never rushed. We enjoyed a delicious lunch over a leisurely hour and an half. I will definitely return and would like to take my husband here for dinner!
We really enjoy going to Parkside Grill for special meals with friends, both local and out of town. We enjoy the extensive menu and the Greek touch. I think we enjoy the starters and appetizers more than the entrees! But everything is interesting. Don’t go for the standard beef dishes - opt for the items that require the chef’s touch!
Returned here after more than one year, the food was delicious and the wines paired well. Started the evening out with the baked goat cheese. One of the advantages of this prep is that it can be made to taste several ways. If you like olives there are olives to add to the feta, if you like sundries tomato’s you can add those, there are also favs beans you can combine so this was a good appetizer. There was plenty of it so two could enjoy it.
Then we cHose to share the lamb chops, medium rare. Paired those with a Mendocino Malbec, delicious! Finally the flourless chocolate cake, again withMalbec, also a double espresso. Delightful!
A fitting return to a restaurant that has improved during my absence.
The food was very tasty. Two disappointments - they don't sell Champagne by the glass and they noise level is high.
The food was delicious...as usual. The goat cheese appetizer was scrumptious! This place never disappoints.
