Parker's Restaurant - Omni Parker House Ratings and Reviews
Waiter made mistakes on our order. He brought a mimosa when we asked for pomegranate juice. He brought one pancake when we asked for three. He brought orange juice when we didn't order any. He also initially brought us juices meant for another table. The service from this waiter was very poor.
The food here is amazing from start to finish. The Parker House rolls were to die for, as expected. We ordered the clam chowder and cheese board. Both were enjoyed very much. For entrees, my husband ordered the delmonico steak, while I ordered the roasted chicken. The food was all excellent and we ate until we were stuffed. For dessert, we had to get the Boston Creme pie of course. The cake was super moist, but we didn't care for the "crunchy" outside. We also had drinks, expresso and an after dinner drink. The only down side to this dining experience was the staff. The host that seated us was very cold. Not a warm greeting, no eye contact and all business. Our server seemed nicer, but maybe forced because she was very busy. The man who passed out rolls was the best! A smile goes a long way and his was great.
My family and had a wonderful time at Parker's Restaurant. The food was fantastic, the service was great, and the atmosphere was nice for the holidays. Very historic. Definitely worth a visit! Their salads are really good. I ordered the iceberg salad and it was one of the best salads I have ever had!
We visited Parkers for a Christmas lunch recently. I had visited as a child and wanted to reminisce. It was not something I'd do again. Our server was dour and the staff was not completely up on things. The decaf coffee order was forgotten. The best part of the meal were the delicious champagne and strawberry cocktails we had to start. The world famous Boston schrod was a very small portion of fresh fish. It had ONE larger crumb on it. I made the mistake of asking for potatoes instead of rice. The potatoes were flavorless and had the consistency of glue. The price for this plate was $24.00, a ridiculous sum considering the portion size ( I'd say about 3 ounces of fish) and lackluster sides. The Boston cream pie for dessert was ok but seemed slightly stale. Overall I'd say this restaurant is definitely past its prime and I would not recommend.
This was an annual Christmas lunch for two. We ordered Lobster roll w/boston beans and Fish & Chips plus a side to share of their famous potato chips. All excellent with pleasant and attentive service. Classic Old Line Hotel Dining Room, (high ceilings, old wood, white table cloth etc) Any criticism would be of the rest of the hotel lobby/common areas which have not been upgraded in decades.
The service was fabulous! We were very relaxed, & were not rushed, allowing us time to enjoy our wonderful meal. I would recommend starting off with the cheese board - it was delicious with a fantastic variety. Of course, ending the evening with the Boston Cream Pie is a must! The building itself has so much character, & I would highly recommend dining here. The value was worth it with the Travel Zoo Coupon offer; if we didn't have the coupon, it seems like the food prices were slightly over-priced for what we got.
Our anniversary dinner at Parker's was everything I'd hoped it would be. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I love the charming interior of the restaurant, nothing overly fussy but still warm and comfortable. The chefs were able to accommodate our dietary requirements in imaginative ways, and our meals were prepared to perfection. It's not often I am delighted by vegetarian offerings, but Parker's had me debating which dishes to order, because everything looked so good. The pan-fried tofu appetizer started the meal on a delicious note, and the main course continued the high standard. The squash ravioli in a cream sauce was delightful in presentation and taste. Of course, the meal ended with a decadent piece of chocolate cake and, of course, their famous Boston cream pie.
A special lunch when my sister made a quick visit from NYC. She loved the authentic historic atmosphere, the Parker House rolls, the famous schrod and the 'real' Boston Cream Pie!
Yes, we hit all the favorites!
The food was great, the service just right and the atmosphere perfect.
We have never been disappointed with our dining experience. The food is excellent from start to finish. We were not in a hurry, but our waiter was very, very slow. Everyone who came after us had long left by the time we settled our bill. I would still go back for the food and atmosphere.
This was a surprise birthday dinner for 6 people. The ambience was great. Even though it was fairly busy, it wasn't overly loud. Service was great. I thought the last time we were here the food was a little better. But, we will still return at some point in the future.
Food was excellent overall. Desserts were a 4 out of 5. Service was down to earth and attentive. I would return and recommend this place to others. We had a Groupon and got great value for the dinner. Noise level tends to pick up towards the evening. If it wasn't for the noise build-up, I would have given ambiance a 5.
As always, Parker House Restaurant was perfect. And is consistently perfect. It is our favorite restaurant in Boston. Always good, service impeccable, wonderful staff, gorgeous surroundings, and such a treat. It's not just the food and service here, it's the overall experience. We love it!
Went for our anniversary and also to finally use the face value of an ancient travelzoo voucher we bought a few years ago. The steak was excellent. The rest of the food we ordered was good. The booth pad was very ragged. The 2 seat table was big enough to fit entrees for both people and an appetizer in the middle, but also so long that I could barely hear my date when he spoke. Overall - a good meal was had.
