Wonderful food and staff.
Brunch was wonderful. Great choices. Service was slow and difficult to find our waiter. Long wait for our drink order. HS to ask for coffee. Prices were high but expected.
Good service, nice elegant place. Food was disappointing - the lobster bisque was watery, brown of color and wot creamy. Several of us had the lobster with risotto, it was dry and very average tasting. Another fish dish was also dry. The crab cake appetizer was too breads/floury tasting. The onion soup was good. The wine was good with exception of a desert wine that was too watery with no taste (Riesling). Overall nice atmosphere with good service but the food has got to improve.
Had had breakfast here before, so we tried dinner.
The food was really good. This ain’t cheap and the room could use a tiny bit of spiffing up (I was sitting near some damaged/missing paneling), but the space remains a valuable American classic. Extremely gracious, warm and professional service (shielding the water glass as he pours, a waiter makes sure the diner doesn’t get splashed).
We went back for breakfast the next morning.
Our last evening of vacation, great experience! Love the history and the Boston Cream Pie!
Exceptional food and service. A not to be missed Boston dining experience.
The Omni Parker House it an all-time classic. Make sure to get the famous Parker roll and Boston Cream Pie.
The Parker’s Restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way. My husband and I visited the restaurant for our first trip to Boston. The host and servers were friendly, fun and helpful.
As our tradition dictates, we started with dessert. The famous Boston cream pie was the best we’ve ever had. We split one (they are served as mini’s rather than a slice) which was perfect.
We then enjoyed two hot and perfectly baked Parker House rolls. Wow! A restaurant made famous for two signature items did not disappoint. If you don’t think you know what a Parker House role is, don’t worry. You do. Just eat them. Eat them all. Smother them with butter!
For our main entries, I ordered the scallops and shrimp scampi and my husband ordered the filet mignon. The scampi was delicious with plenty of seafood. The steak was made perfectly. Our server suggested a perfect wine to pair with our meal.
We are from the west coast which has a more casual atmosphere, so we felt slightly intimidated by the dress code. He wore jeans and a nice button down shirt and I wore a black maxi dress. While we were slightly underdressed, the restaurant staff didn’t seem to mind. I’m guessing we got points for effort lol.
After a delicious meal, we were then impressed with the final tab. While not inexpensive, our bill was very reasonably priced for a nice date in a new city. I highly recommend Parker’s Restaurant!
Old world charm restaurant, perfect for special occasion where you want to be able to hear yourself and others talk! Excellent service, and you do not feel rushed. We have had the same waiter several times and he is very professional. I only gave 3 stars for the food as a couple of the dinners were only so so - the prime rib was good, not great; the braised lamb shank($$$) was really disappointing, little meat and chewy. Scallops and schrod very good, as were appetizers and salads, and of course the Boston Cream Pie. Drinks priced very reasonably compared to other Boston restaurants.
We made reservations for 6:00, for the pre-theatre menu. It was advertised on their website (and still is) as $39. When we sat down, the menus given us had a price of $48. When I asked, I was told that the website needed to be updated. The food was very good, although not outstanding. The ambience and the service were excellent. Would I recommend it based on the ambience and service, and the cachet of the name? Probably not.
Expensive for a basic meal. The French toast was barely warm and bread was not great. The cream cheese apple butter was delicious.syrup should be warm. Lobster roll was good but nothing special for the price. Our server Kathleen was spectacular!
They were attentive towards my 10 month old. The service was perfect and prompt. The atmosphere was quiet yet a small buzzing of hotel guests brewed around. The food was great. My favorite was the clam chowder, decadent and creamy. We also had the lobster which was cook well on a bed of risotto. Another night I had the scallops, again cooked perfectly, and linguini which was rich.
This is such a historical place and we have been there a number of times, but only ever for drinks and the Boston Cream Pie of course! Our first time actually dining at the restaurant could not have been better, the food was amazing and so was the service! Would definitely love to go back next time I’m in town!
Order San Pellegrino. Never got it. Not cool. You can do better.
Parker's is the best dining room in the city. Service is outstanding, staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the ambiance of the room is without equal.
Love the vintage charm of this place, the history, and the fine dining!
Love the history here and pictures depicting another time.
Variety of offerings to cover many palettes.
The salmon was a notch above!
It was a business lunch and very much appreciated a non rush but attentive style of service. Thank You.
The service is very good, I enjoy having breakfast at the Parker's Restaurant every morning. Also, I did show up for breakfast on Monday, March 18 at 8:30 instead of 7:30 and still got in with no problem at all.
Great for a business breakfast but still a bit expensive for Boston.
Thought this restaurant was included in restaurant week.. Disappointed that they did not have menu. Made reservations based on this.
Loved the Boston Benedict & the staff was very attentive.
We did the Pre-Theatre dining option. Food was well prepared and delicious. Waitstaff very attentive and professional. It's nice to be able to dine in a quiet traditional setting with no "glitz".
We have dined at Parker's in the past and will certainly return again.
Awesome dinner as always!
The service was impeccable; attentive without overwhelming. The food was delicious and of course the rolls were outstanding. Could not have asked for a better evening.
Great pre-theater menu!
Venerable old Boston landmark. Wonderful . Be sure to go for a special occasion
It is a consistently good meal with excellent service and fine dining atmosphere. For those who appreciate it, it never changes its classic style.
As always, it was an exceptional evening of food, service (Lillian is fabulous), and ambiance.
Valentines Day. Wonderful meal!!
Delicious meal and engaging waiter with a good sense of humor.
We had the most wonderful experience at Parker's. Our food was wonderful. Our waiter seemed to really care that we enjoyed our time that night. We were celebrating our anniversary and my husband's 60th birthday and our waiting gave us great recommendations for food and this amazing wine! He was so friendly and we will recommend this restaurant to any of our friends visiting Boston. Thank you for treating us so well. We loved our waiter. He has been a waiter there for a long time. The hostess was also very helpful and sweet. Thank you Parker's!
Our visit to Parker’s was absolutely wonderful, and we were so pleased. We chose to celebrate our anniversary and Valentine’s Day as a combine dinner date, and our restaurant of choice was Parker’s. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and there were a handful of gluten free menu items that suited our needs perfectly. We loved it very much, and will surely be back!!
Great for Valentine’s Day pre show dinner. Classic old school classy relatively quiet environment, excellent food on the special pre fixe menue, excellent service- professional, friendly, attentive.
Husband and I went for breakfast. The restaurant is no doubt beautiful but I felt like I was in a box. All the windows and shades were closed and seemed so closed off. It was morning and the sun was out so a little sunshine would have been nice. Food was ok but not outstanding. I could have gone to ihop and received the same meal way cheaper. Also our server seemed less than interested in serving us. I think her name was Jackie. We had to have other servers refill our drinks and close out our check bc she kept walking past our table without stoping at our table to check in on us. I highly doubt that I will return to this restaurant. Maybe lunch and dinner are better.
My daughter and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner. The service was above top notch, it’s always wonderful to enjoy a meal at Parker’s!
Parker's at the Omni Parker House lives up to its reputation. An elegant setting with refined service it is truly a destination restaurant. The food was good but the service was excellent and relaxed. No one rushing you here. A charming place for a date night in Boston where a man wearing a jacket is more comfortable than not.
Had a real nice dinner at the Parker House before we went to a show. Our waiter, Francesco, was real nice and professional. He has been there 18 years. Dinner was really well prepared. My wife ordered off the show menu . My son and I ordered off of the main menu. My wife had the salmon. I had the haddock with mashed potatoes and asparagus. And of course had the Boston creamy pie. Have not been here in years. Used to stay a ton at the Parker house as my company used to rent rooms there. Food has always been good. Thank you
Was disappointed in salmon entree - no flavor at all. Have heard about the restaurant for years and very disappointed. Had ordered off pre-theatre menu.
What a lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious! We ordered from the PreTheater menu and made it to The Boston Opera House in time for the show!
The Perfect, history filled, dinning experience that is totally satisfying from the wait staff to the cloth tablecloth and napkins to the meal. Spectacular all around. Parker's rolls and Boston Cream Pie. I'm speechless.
