A semi-private dining room, separated from the rest of the restaurant by a few feet, but not closed off by a door. This carpeted space with two parallel banquettes, tends to be quieter and also has beautiful window tables.
Parkers' Restaurant & Bar Ratings and Reviews
Neighborhood gem. Best shrimp cocktail hands down! Barkeep Ryan tends with care and offers a smooth paced service. His charm is an additonal plus;) Parkers is always a pleasant experience for a quick midweek "city vibe" especially when live tunes are flowing. A definite must do!
This was our first time at Parkers. We had mixed feelings. The wine list is outstanding. The prices on the list are fair. If you like great wines with your food, then you cannot go wrong. The ribeye steak was very good but priced just like it would be downtown and not as good as the premier steak houses in Chicago - so overpriced. I ordered the 1 1/2 pounds of the Red King Crab Legs and they were a huge disappointment. First, there is no chance that the serving I received (2 legs, one with a joint, and a separate joint) weighed 1.5 lbs. Second, no one wants to eat the joints so, in my opinion, I was given the dregs from the kitchen. Finally, the crab was not fresh in season as evidenced by the meat, which was very stringy and stuck to the shell. It was not tender and whole as it should have been. The only thing that stopped me from outright complaining was that our waiter was rock solid - and I did not care to embarrass him.
We are long time customers. First time that we were disappointed with the food. The quality of the beet salad was quite poor. My octopus seem to be smaller and less appealing, yet more expensive . And our favorite duck was not only more expensive but worse than ever. There was lots of fat and confit was actually a wing, not a thigh as was previously.
The greens were also low quality and too spicy.
It will take some time to recuperate from the disappointment and to visit Parker's again.
Always great food and service. My wife always gets the short ribs or filet, I usually get fish or the duck. Desserts are large enough to share. Coffee is also a great finish. Nice wine and beer selections, however we usually get a mixed drink. This is our go to place in the suburbs.
Oh, Thank You to the staff of Parkers. In town for the weekend with high quality standards and Parkers was so pleasurable that I came back for night two. First, your bartenders are great. They gave me sincere and accurate advice and they looked out for me. The food was so much fun. Clam Chowder and Tilapia Tacos were a nice light but fulfilling dinner on my first night. The Bouillabaisse on night two was amazing. You should have a line out the door every night for that great dish. Very large portion and so good! Thanks for all you did for me, Parkers staff, Rick
A friend recommended and I was happy to return. The salad I had was outstanding. As my colleague said, it is good to the last scrap of food on your plate. I will be back. So many interesting things to try. Some from the menu and some from observing what others ordered.
In a word: excellent.
We had a great meal with attentive waitstaff. All seafood for the adult entrees (salmon, crab cakes, and scallops) and chicken tenders for the 10-year-old. A good, relatively inexpensive bottle of Chardonnay for the adults.
Everything was just right.
A very pleasant evening. The oysters are always varied and fresh . We enjoyed the Mahi-mahi and whitefish preparations which were well prepared and up to expectations. Our waiter was well trained , attentive and immediately responsive. Parkers is worth a visit.
My husband & I went to Parkers' for our anniversary. Beautiful dining room with plenty of room between tables. We split the crab & lobster fritters for an appetizer (the honey mustard sauce was excellent), then I had the bisque and my husband had the clam chowder. Our waiter was very helpful and pleasant. He suggested the mahi mahi special, which my husband had. (I opted not to have it because it was spicy.) Husband said, "Guess what special was not moving tonight?" He didn't have much expectation for the dish, but he ended up loving it! Told the waiter it should be on the menu all the time instead of just a special.
I had the scallops, which were perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. They came with a butternut squash, duck bacon & edamame risotto.
For dessert, we split the caramel budino - just the perfect amount for sharing after a hearty dinner. Light, sweet (but not too sweet), and delicious.
Beautifully plated well executed seafood dishes. Great flavor profiles and good but not outstanding service. It's amazing when our children are with us the server omits explanations of specials, recommendations or details on the flavors with regards to such things as cheese plates. Overall a great dining experience and would recommend for any occasion from a quiet date night to a large family gathering.
We went for Thanksgiving 2017. We were seated immediately. The staff greeted us at the door with a friendly Happy Thanksgiving! We did not order the turkey buffet we ordered from the menu. For appetizer we had grilled octopus and lobster bisque. Our waiter was friendly and informative. For entree we chose the scallops and bouillabaisse. Both were delicious. The scallops were cooked to perfection. The bouillabaisse had the tastiest broth. Overall a great experience.
Went for Thanksgiving. Recommended the bouillabaise to my brother in law. I ordered it as well. He loved it. He also ordered the oyster Rockefeller. He loved that also. My sister got the thanksgiving buffet. My husband got the scallops with the risotto. All around excellent.
Our party of four dined here on Thanksgiving. Two people ordered seafood, one had the turkey buffet, and one ordered steak. Everyone raved about their meal and the experience overall. We were very pleased and grateful that the restaurant was open for Thanksgiving. It really couldn’t have been better!
Had a very nice meal. One complaint, there was 6 of us and a lemon drop martini was ordered and when it was served, instead of the rim dipped in sugar, it was dipped in salt for a margarita. By the time we could get the attention of our server (who was really great, but understandably busy) it was easier to wipe the rim of salt off . Other than that, dinner/dessert was fine. Will visit again. Might stay away from the lemon drop martinis though.
Had a wonderful first time experience. Came here for a very special occasion 30th wedding anniversary dinner. And we came out with an exceptional evening. Food was fantastic dinning room is beautiful and classy . Nick our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Definitely will be returning.
The waitress was friendly and helpful and manager was nice. But the steak I ordered was over cooked and then the replacement they brought me was covered in a demi glaze when I specifically asked for nothing on the steak. All other food we ordered was fine but definitely overpriced for what it was. They comped the steak, gave us a complimentary cotton candy, and a $25 gift card for a future visit. The atmosphere was nice. But as I do not live in the area I doubt I will be back.
