Parkers' Restaurant & Bar Ratings and Reviews
We went 2 days after Valentines day on a Friday evening with an open table reservation for 7:00pm and we're seated by 7:30pm. Our service was excellent. We had wine, a shrimp appetizer, my wife had the scallops, wonderfully grilled, and I had the cedar plant salmon.
Sarah was our waitress and we had a wonderful meal.
We go to Parkers every few months for their great happy hour, food and service. The oysters, the salads, the soups and the seafood/steaks are absolutely worth the price. This occasion, we split the Surf and Turf at the bar. The music and service were exceptional as was the food. We will be back...
All around amazing. It was on our list of places to try And we went for Valentine’s Day. The food, service, and ambiance were all perfect. It was so comfortable in the restaurant, I don’t know if I would have left if I didn’t have to. Parker’s will be stay on our list for special occasions.
Parker's is our number 1 favorite restaurant. The chef does an outstanding job and never disappoints with his fresh and creative cuisine. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable and the cocktails are the best. We have enjoyed jazz live music on week days and Carmen Stokes on piano on Saturday evenings. It adds to the already perfect ambience of Parker's.
Our server, Luis, was a joy. He was helpful, attentive, courteous, and when my salad arrived with tomatoes I expressly asked to be avoided, he had it replaced even though I told him I would "eat around" the offending tomatoes. We also were visited by General Manager Heather Johnson who remembered us from a bad experience we had a couple of years ago and again expressed her sorrow over that incident. So here is a restaurant that truly cares for their customers and it shows. Thank you Heather and Luis. We will be back again I assure you.
I have been to Parkers and have brought friends to enjoy the good food and pleasant atmosphere. Also great to enjoy a special occasion. They always bring a Happy Birthday plate for the birthdays. The special guest always enjoys the thoughtfulness of the restaurant. Will keep recommending the restaurant to everyone.
Excellent spot - first time visitors! The restaurant was very large, almost off putting how big it was for how nice it was. Had a bit of a West Coast fish house vibe to the decor. Food is very good quality; read wild caught fish, prime steaks, interesting plating options. This is a very good restaurant for couples and foodies. Surprisingly affordable as well. Live jazz in the bar ends a bit early, 9PM. Will definitely be back.
We were seated right away. We were disappointed to sit right by the kitchen because it's louder there and one of the people in our party can't hear from one ear, but it wasn't too bad. Our server, Sara I believe, was very attentive, friendly and had a great sense of humor. All of our food was great from the appetizer, salads, entrees through the desserts. We tried the calamari, which was cooked perfectly. I had the whitefish, which was full of flavor. Each entree was served piping hot (maybe a perk of being near the kitchen. We had 3 different desserts and enjoyed them all. The cookies are served on a bed of fresh cotton candy, which is kind of cool. Coffee was good as well. They didn't rush us through courses or after dinner. I would definitely return.
This review is for the bar only. We went for the happy hour (1/2 off appetizers) on a Saturday night. We ordered 3 appetizers: Fried Asian Spiced Chicken "Spring Rolls", Wild Texas Bay Shrimp Tempura, Rustic Tomato Bruschetta.
We absolutely loved the shrimp tempura, and did not care for the bruschetta or the spring rolls. The bruschetta had way too much tomato toppings and it was soggy. The spring rolls almost seemed frozen and they were nothing special bla. The shrimp tempura, however, had a great light batter and tasted fresh.
We loved the atmosphere and the jazz pianist was wonderful. We will definitely be back again and I can't wait to try new menu items...I just hope I like them better than this time.
Our first hostess promised to seat any large business group away from us. Once we were seated for awhile another hostess brought a rather loud group of 4 right next to us. We were hesitant but managed to deal with it. Acoustics in that part of dining room not so good. We eventually had 3 groups clustered around us with empty tables just beyond our immediate area. You might consider placing 4 senior women away from the middle of an all man cluster....Really! We could not hear one another at times.
Service was excellent-Britany and her excellent trainee. Food and service would bring us back but not the seating.
Stopped for a bite to eat after a matinee play. We decided to sample some of the appetizers. The calamari was tender with light crispy breading. The shrimp and lobster fritters were equally as good. We also loved the Margherita Pizza. Oh my goodness was it delicious. Lastly we had the lobster bisque. It was beautifully presented at table side with a mound of shrimp, leeks, and lobster in the center of an enormous bowl. Next the server poured this amazingly fragrant soup...It was perfect. As we were about ready to leave our waitress presented my mom with a sweet treat for her birthday. A heavenly key lime cheesecake topped with meringue and a candle. It was such a thoughtful gesture. The absolute highlight was our outstanding waitress. She was informative, courteous and made this dining experience perfect.
We were seated under a heat vent, when the heat was on, it was probably 85 degrees at our table, we were both miserable and had to ask them to multiple tiles to either turn it off or reseat us. Then the waitress pressured us relentlessly to order more food and drinks. This was not welcome when we were already so uncomfortable
