Parkers' Restaurant & Bar
Book your next event with us
We were celebrating a friend's birthday and although the table we had was fine we moved to the bar to enjoy Carmen Stokes' wonderful live music in the bar. Food and service was great as usual!
Food was excellent as always. We had a family birthday party and we all arrived at different times. We still were able to be seated and start drinks and the server was very patient. It’s a little noisy but the food is worth it. Love the fireplace.
I have to say based on the reviews I thought this restaurant would be really great but was a bit disappointed. The service was just ok. The food arrived room temperature and the white fish I ordered was room temperature, small and had no flavor. For the price of that fish, I feel the presentation, flavor and portion should have been better. I got room temperature fish, with plain mash potatoes and spinach. Not worth the $30 dollars in my opinion. My friends got a hamburger, pizza, egg rolls, and calamari from the happy hour menu. Sorry, but I go to a lot of really nice upscale delicious restaurants and this one did not appeal to me. I won't be back.
Had very enjoyable time. In these days of walking up and ordering the food, Parkers is a breath of fresh. Loved the ambiance but mostly loved the food!
The seafood quality is superb! Shrimp & Lobster bisque soup, poured table-side is decadent. Fish preparation options is a nice touch. I find the prices a little high. We had a couple of servers taking care of our table of 8 which was great but they both had accents that prevented us from understanding them which was a disappointment. Great wine selection. All in all I would recommend for great seafood but bring your fat wallet! $40 for a 7 oz Filet Mignon, $34 for the scallops entree and $10 for the bowl bisque.
Parker's restaurant is a wonderful place to have a seafood meal. We went with someone who was observing Lenten Fridays. My one negative surprise was the price of a wine bottle. The wine list seemed quite expensive to me, but we found a nice Shiraz that tasted good and was not so terribly expensive. The food is very well prepared, can be quite healthy, and very tasty, and the service is very helpful.
Food was decent but overpriced in my opinion. Example, ordered oysters rockefeller for $13. Surprise!
3 oysters. Really? 3 oysters? Recently went to Jewel for blue point oysters, 3/$1. Portions on the rest of the meal were also a little lacking, though not as bad as the appetizer. Spending $140 for 2 people, not including bar bill or tip, I expect some food on the table! With many other restaurant options, will not be going back to Parkers.
I stated it was my birthday !
Normally most restaurants will have the staff come out or something
I’ll go somewhere else next year
Great meal & happy they offered us a private meeting room for our office dinner
Excellent food and service
This is a very good resaurant for meat lovers. But there healty choice offering is limited. I was forced to order the same salmon dish twice in a row because of the limitations of there menu.
I may not go back again because I would most likely have to order the salmon again.
Always consistent quality food. Service is attentive and professional.
Excellent meal and service. Great place for kids and family dining. I have 4,6,8 year olds. Good menu for them and desserts. Seafood is always fresh and very tasty. I had ny strip. Was cooked well, slightly under for mid rare which I ordered. But close enough. Steaks are prime cuts. Server was superb. Very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. We will defiantly be back.
The food was great and everyone was satisfied with their choices. The service was excellent as well. Will be back.
Although the food and service were both outstanding, there was such a strong fish odor throughout the dining room from the minute we arrived that it gave us pause. I checked in the lounge area to move our table but there were no tables for 4 available. We also noticed that the kitchen door was always open - perhaps that was the cause of the smell?
They celebrated my husbands birthday with a very nice dessert plate. However because my 6yr old was with us we were clearly put in a side room with other “kids.” My son is not a toddler and was wearing a sport coat, I didn’t think it was necessary at 6pm on a Friday to be put away in a back room when the main dining room was empty. The first time my husband and I came here as two we sat in the main dining room with lots of kids much later in the night. I don’t think I’ll be going back for awhile as a couple or family. The service was slow at 6pm and this time the food was just OK, nothing spectacular. Because of the inconsistent atmosphere and food quality I’ll give this a 3/5.
Nice restaurant with good food, more upscale. Service is friendly and sometimes even too fast (a little time between courses is also ok).
Recommend it in this area if you like good food.
The food was fantastic and our waiter was very nice. The service was efficient but I did not feel rushed. I would go back for a special occasion and have already recommended it to others.
We have only been here once before however we thoroughly enjoyed the food and ambiance. It is refreshing to find a restaurant of this caliber in the suburbs. We highly recommend Parker's and look forward to returning.
Our waitress Brittany was outstanding.
The food great.
Front desk needs little warmer welcome.
To be told in little hostile tone that we were early, not necessary.
Everything was perfect! This place reminds me of old school New Orleans restaurants, especially with the Oyster Bar and live jazz. The food is phenomenal, the white fish is the best I've ever had and I've also had the surf and turf which was excellent. They were great whiskey selection and wine selection. This is my favorite restaurant.
I love Parkers, and always have; but the service this past Saturday was uncharacteristic poor of this fine restaurant.
It was my husband’s birthday and we were celebrating with friends from Indianapolis.
Food wasn’t good (veg burger I ordered). Ambience and service is good though
Always good, one of our favorites!
All four of our meals were outstanding!
We had an excellent server. Very knoeledgeable
Excellent dining experience. Great wine list and food was exceptional.
Parker’s is an excellent restaurant. Always consistently great. From the changing daily specials to the regular menu it is the best. Fresh seafood that is well prepared. Just a wonderful place. Highly recommended.
Food was even better than usual. Excellent salmon and steak.
I’ve been to Parker’s many times and it very enjoyable. This time my fish was tasteless and rubbery and the salad dressing was bland. We each had one glass of wine and a lunch item and it was $42 each person. Way too much money for the food I received. I will not be back for a long time if ever.
great food. I've never had a bad thing from there menu.
Very enjoyable. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Lighting in the dining room was a bit bright and would have been nice to have been able to hear the live jazz being played in the bar .
My short rib was pull-apart-with-a-fork tender. My wife's lamb chops were grilled to perfection and a sight to behold. The wine was tasty. We should have ordered a second dessert. Our waitress was attentive and wonderful to interact with. An overall excellent meal.
Can't get any better than Parker's
Great lemon drop martini w copper fox vodka. The lobster bisque followed by the filet was fantastic. Great service and mystery family who sent a $25 gift certificate.
The food and service was excellent. The ambiance of the back room where we were seated was average and did not match the above average ambience of the rest of the restaurant. We had a loud, obnoxious, F-bombing table next to us. This was not the restaurant's fault necessarily but did detract from the evening. We asked to be moved to bar for dessert. I really don't think it was owed to us, but if I were the manager I would have comped the dessert, to end our customer experience on a positive note. Advice more than a criticism. Again great food and service!
Incredible Valentine’s Day service. Food was delectable, staff was personable, and it made for a fantastic evening! Only real complaint was the slightly claustrophobic seating in the dining area made it hard hear.
