Parkers' Restaurant & Bar

We love this place! Food is consistently outstanding and service attentive!
Our food was exceptional and service was great. Our only issue was the appetizers didn't arrive at the same time so one person got their order about 10 minutes before the other three were served. An order of fries arrived after the dinner (surf and turf) was finished. The manager was apologetic and sent over dessert for our party. I still recommend this restaurant as one of the best in the Western Suburbs. These oversights were the exception, not the norm for this establishment.
After eating at Parker's several times I'm very disappointed with the quality of the food. My husband and I ate there recently - I had the scallops (only 4 for the expense!) and he ate the beef short rib and both were very mediocre. Best thing about Parker's is the live music at the bar.
The bartender was excellent. My service was beyond outstanding.
There were 3 of for dinner. The service was great! The food was very good! A little pricey but worth the meal and the service and ambiance.
We had a very nice evening. For a Tuesday night, we were surprised to see the restaurant was very busy. That is a good sign. The food was very good, service was very good, and the ambiance is always perfect.
Great service and food. This is a great place for a meeting and for great food.
Short rib was excellent and 3 cohorts all had scallops which they all enjoyed, evidenced by clean plates. Bar music was a little loud, but we were closest table to bar in the dining room. KJ our server was very good. Other offerings looked good as well.
Didn’t like that we were seated in the back of the restaurant. Looked like an old cabin and was very hot.
Food service excellent
Always a good experience
Server was one of the best
will recommend to friends/family
Parkers has amazing lobster bisque. It's a must! Nick was our server and his service was excellent. Friendly and prompt. Never felt rushed. This is a great place to meet up with friends and have a glass of wine with a nice meal.
Visited with my husband for dinner to use a gift card we had received as a gift. The restaurant decor was nice, food was great, and service was great. It was a little loud for my liking - it was hard to have a conversation with my husband. I had been hoping we would be able to hear the live jazz at our table, but that was out of the question due to the loud background noise. The server also never asked me if I wanted another drink, which was odd, but fine as it ended up saving us money. Overall, a good experience.
Service was excellent. Thoughtful, attentive, fast, efficient. True professional. Food was excellent all the way around from fish to meat to vegetables to salad. It is noisy. Plaid wallpaper in far back room (to the east) needs to go. Why is that even there? Great restaurant, though.
Sarah provides professional knowledgeable friendly service. We very much enjoy sitting in her station.
Food was above average.
Ambience is fun.
Really nice. Noise levels actually permitted conversation. Food was excellent, courses were well timed, and food was brought out hot. Server Brittany was exceptional
Nice work Parkers
What a great experience! Brittany ranks up there with one of the best servers we've ever experienced. She was spot on with suggestions and we were never left waiting for anything. The food was outstanding. We are from out of town and only make it to the area occasionally to visit family but we will definitely be adding Parkers to our never miss list! Thank you for a great New Years Eve!
We love Parkers, especially the bar area. Ots definitely with the splurge!
Great food, ambiance and service. Table location under a cold air vent was uncomfortable until we requested the vent be turned off. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable experience all around.
We made a reservation but still was seated in the very back porch area. Not as appealing winter evening dining atmosphere.
12th Birthday for my son! Very nice server- Courtney . She was knowledgeable about the menu & very sweet. Enjoyed talking to her. Will definitely come back
Wonderful food and great service! We will return for more!
As always, impeccable service, amazing food, and beautiful atmosphere!
We had a leisurely lunch and conversation after and never felt rushed or to be an inconvenience. The staff were courteous and attentive. The food was wonderful and portions were just right.
Always a great spot to stop after shopping.
We were seated in the back room (closest to the outdoor patio). The acoustics were so awful, the three of us couldn't hear each other and it was too bright. Our server couldn't help, so I asked to speak to a Manager. He was not helpful at first, but upon my persistence, we were seated by the fireplace in the main dining room. Parker's is our go-to restaurant for Christmas Eve when everybody is available. We would have walked out had the Manager not assisted with our request.
Our food was good, our service was not as good as the food, the waiter seemed very uninformed regarding the wine list, which did not help our group, since our favorite wine was not listed on the menu. He told us he would bring us bread when we ordered, and we had to ask for it later, because it never arrived. I am not sure if they were understaffed for the Christmas eve time slots or what, but I have had better service at this restaurant for a busy lunch crowd, than for dinner. We also seemed to be crowded into a small room with other tables, there was hardly room for anyone at any table to get up and move, maybe they oversold the tables for the amount of people for that evening.
Our first time at Parkers'...on Christmas Eve. Restaurant has an attractive, wood-dominant interior and was packed, yet our service was attentive and friendly. Enjoyed the calamari appetizer (light, tender), wedge and Caesar salads, and cedar-planked salmon and bouillabaisse as entrees. Salmon was plated with tasty sides of spinach and sweet potato puree. If we were in the area again, we'd gladly return to Parkers'. A pleasant dining experience.
Great atmosphere and food. Service excellent.
Felt rushed but I know it was Xmas Eve. The food was very good.
Parker's has been a local standout for many years. While I hadn't dined there in many years I was not disappointed. The food quality, service and ambiance all remain intact. While a bit noisy and a bit pricey the food is first class. My recollection is that the seafood (fresh fish) offerings used to be wider and deeper than today, but my Swordfish from the special menu (on December 23, 2018) was just outstanding, perhaps the best swordfish dish I have ever had! The wine list deserves special mention as it is indeed wide and deep. I found several recognizable names that made choosing difficult. I can enthusiastically recommend Parker's to anyone looking for excellent seafood (and for that matter, food of any kind!) I give them "props" for hanging around as long as they have and maintaining the high levels of quality and service they are offering.
We enjoyed having one of the private rooms for our party of 6.
Service was impeccable, food was very good!!
We were here with good friends, and we all loved it! Thought the wine & cocktail lists were impressive...food was fantastic. Will definitely be back.
I've never been disappointed with my meal.
Parker's continues to be one of our favorite restaurants when we return to visit from Alabama. Service remains outstanding and food is very good and reasonably priced. Keep up the good work!
Retirement lunch for a close friend! Our server brought a beautifully decorated congratulations inscribed plate with a key lime delicious dessert! My friend was so touched ti have received!! Thank you to Sara our server for making our dining experience so over the top lovely! Special note of thanks to the chef for the fabulous culinary experience!!
Outstanding food and service as always! Martinis are excellent and the French Press coffee is the best.
