Food was delicious and loved the atmosphere
Great food and drinks enjoyed the food and the ambiance
Parker’s is our favorite special and all occasion restaurant. We’d go even more often if we could! The food is always excellent and the service the best possible. We go several times a year and have done that since they opened. And David has also been with Parker’s since they opened, is often our server, and is fantastic. We highly recommend Parker’s on Ponce!
This was our first visit. We had lunch. The food was excellent and the service was great. Very polished restaurant. Our waiter was very attentive. The owner came by.
The bathroom was very nice and classy.
We’ll get back
Wonderful food wonderful service. The people that work there clearly take a lot of pride in what they do.
Solid restaurant, but not exceptional. Stuffed dates and the house salad were good, as was the steak. Mashed potatoes were flavorless and the creamed spinach was clunky (thick onions sort of sautéed but still crunchy, mushrooms and spinach soaked in cream, but not really creamed spinach). Chocolate dessert was very large and good. Would not avoid coming back, but definitely not on our must do list.
Great place to eat. This place is at a good location. Plenty of parking.
For the quality of the food the price was too high it was nothing special about it. And one diners food was actually cold.
Good quality steaks, great service, consistency over multiple visits. A winner!
This was probably the slowest service we have ever had there. It started good but as we finished up our food we were waiting for 10 minutes for boxes. We were supposed to get a dessert menu with the boxes but be forgot. I got so frustrated waiting on a dessert menu I actually just gave up. We ordered one creme brûlée because we knew that was on the menu. I had interest in a second dessert and a port wine but I did know when I was going to get a menu. The manager ended up bringing the creme brûlée to the table and I asked him for the check and mentioned we are tired of waiting and he took off 1 of our 2 drinks. I understand that there are a lot of issues staffing these days but restaurants need to not over seat and watch servers getting overwhelmed by larger tables.
I still highly recommend Parker’s. We really don’t think there has ever been any food or drink there that was not top notch.
The food was just o.k., and did not measure up to the taste, quality and presentation that I am accustomed to t this restaurant in previous years. This was our first outing since the pandemic, and I was a little disapointed,
Lamb chops were delicious
We will be going back again! Thanks to Parker's for making our graduation celebration special!
We arrived at 6:30 for our 7pm reservations. Checked in with hostess and went to the bar. The bartender Wendy was excellent. Great service and great attitude. I was stoked to see they carried Van Winkle, so I had 1 at the bar and my wife had a really nice red wine. Started off feeling really good about the evening. At 7:20 we asked Wendy about our table and she said the hostess was swamped but our table was ready and she would seat us. Our waitress seemed new but she was sufficient, not great but not poor... just fair. She did ask if we were celebrating a special occasion and I said we were. It was our 33rd wedding anniversary. She said we would get a free desert of our choice. We we were presented with a card and waitress mentioned our anniversary a couple of times. I ordered another Van Winkle and could tell she had no idea what I was talking about. We ordered calamari and it was the worst we have ever had. Not impressed. We both ordered steaks which were excellent but the broccoli over cooked with a few pieces that were good. Ordered creme brûlée for desert which was excellent. Bill came and to my surprise I was charged $7.00 for the cream brûlée. I put the card that told us of the free desert along with my credit card thinking she would fix the problem but she didn’t. The Waitress did not return for me to explain the mistake. It’s not the money, our bill was almost $300. They offered it free and then charged us for it.
349.00 for lunch for 5 with 3 alcoholic drinks really has to blow me away, and unfortunately it didn’t. Staff was attentive and very accommodating. Food was ok, and like I said, 70$ average I want to be blown away. So I will not tout Parker’s on Ponce, if you can get in Gun Show Atlanta, Cooks and Soldier’s or one of the Ray’s venues blow it away.
I invited my best friend to lunch for her birthday. We ate lunch together daily before we retired and had not shared a meal for two years. Our meal and service were excellent. We were back to the comfort of former days with good food, laughter, and a server who was patient & engaging. We now share a memory of a happy time at Parker’s when the Pandemic was almost over and life almost normal again.
We sat outside and it was cooler than normal. Management promptly brought us a heater even though it was nearly June. The food came out quickly....almost too quickly. The appetizer was immediately followed by the main courses but I guess that’s better than the other way around. Food was amazing as always and the cocktails were delicious. Server seemed disinterested but he was proficient.Overall good evening.
Celebrating 28 year anniversary. Service was great. Felt very safe in this COVID environment. Appreciate the dining experience on the terrace. Thank you for the complimentary dessert.
Parker's is always a great place to dine and connect with friends. The service, bar and food selection are the reasons I keep coming back.
The food was disappointing; David our server was comprehensively just ok....will not return.
Met some friends for dinner at Parker's on a Friday evening. We were sat on the patio and had a wonderful time. I have dined there a number of times and have never been disappointed. Between us we had both the seafood and steak specials, the bacon wrapped date appetizer and house salads. Parker's has a creative and pretty diverse menu. I am always drawn by the siren's song of their shrimp & grits but chose the ribeye with a blueberry reduction special. It was a great choice. Parker's is always a great choice.
The ambiance is lovely. Dark wood with crisp white linen table cloths. Our server Aaron was welcoming, excellent and knowledgeable about the menu, which has an array of choices to please everyone. Portions are tastefully generous. Our salads, salmon and chicken dishes were delicious! Don’t forget the dessert choices! Parkers was a lovely respite out of the heat and allowed my friend and I time to visit and renew our friendship after visiting the van Gogh art exhibit nearby. It was part of a wonderful day for us both! Thank you, Parkers! FYI, I am coming back to Decatur in July with a group of eight ladies and we are going to all go to Parkers per my recommendation!
I really wanted to like Parker's. Great staff. Nice place. But almost all of the meat came out overcooked. I also ordered the Parker's strip, and it was not a great piece of meat. We had a great time and rolled with it, but I probably won't be going back any time soon.
The food and drinks were great. Everything was beautiful.
Lovely experience. Our server Maggie was wonderful and attentive and we enjoyed ourselves very much. Food was delicious - menu is pricey but the food was great.
It is always a pleasure to spend our anniversary at Parker's on Ponce. We really like the restaurant. We've been going for many years now.
As always, the perfect place for delicious beef. A must visit every time we are in the area.
The food was not very good at all and the drinks were very sour.
The service and ambiance was excellent however. Maybe they were having a bad night since we had a late reservation.
Great service, knowledgeable and not overly attentive just enough to not want for anything
Outstanding place to eat and my wife enjoyed her steak with blue cheese butter for her birthday dinner. Crab cake for me was beyond phenomenal! and hand down, this is one of the best crab cake I ate!
Very nice restaurant. The food was great and the employees were nice. Very nice vibe as well.
I was very disappointed at this restaurant considering the price you pay and the excellent reviews. My boyfriend ordered the burger well done and they served it to us medium. We asked to get a new one because it was very under cooked. The owner told the brand new waitress that they could put it back on the grill for us instead of a new one. We simply requested a new one because the burger had a lot of melted toppings. The poor waitress was embarrassed because he had to approve of it then had the nerve to ask why we wanted a new one and why we requested no cheese on the next order. We received the new burger and it was still bloody and undercooked. The owner was going down the rabbit hole of, “why are you requesting no cheese?” As that being the reason for complaint. Also, my chicken with potatoes were not good....the roasted potatoes were extremely soggy and under cooked. Maybe we went on a bad night. I’m not sure. At the end I felt bad for the waitress and made sure to take care of her. However, I will never return.
Great experience! I went for my wife’s birthday. The food was on par with other restaurants of this caliber. The customer experience was the differentiator. Our waitress Leah was amazing, the music was great and outdoor patio was relaxing.
Social distancing was maintained with the removal of several tables. Meal and service was above average.
Great time with friends this place was top notch...
Everything was cooked perfectly
Pretty bare under Covid restrictions. Very good food. Excellent service from Jerome and (Lea?).
Great graduation lunch!
I really enjoyed this place from the staff and atmosphere to the food and prices! They really made my mother's day special. My son and I really enjoyed and will be back!
