Parker's on Ponce

It was our 5th wedding anniversary. They took great care of us. We really enjoyed our experience. The bartender was very knowledgeable about drinks. The pianist was awesome and really set the mood. The server was very intentive and great. The food was outstanding. They offered us a complimentary dessert for our anniversity. So great. Thanks, Parkers on Ponce.

This restaurant was beautiful and service was AWESOME!!! It is in the pricey side but worth it!!! We will go back!!!

The food, service and atmosphere were all great!

Food wasn't prepared to liking, service was slow and waiter wasn't attentive. Did offer complimentary dessert that took a while to arrive. Other guests were served their food and drinks before us even while arriving after us. Drinks were very good!

It was a real pleasure to dine at Parker's for New Years Eve. We have dined here in the past and we're excited that is was available for our New Years Eve dining pleasure.

We came here for my birthday lunch. Maggie took excellent care of us and went above and beyond for finding out if we had any food allergies. I chose the Parker's salad for my appetizer, which was tasty, and my husband chose the octopus, which was very delicious and meaty. The octopus appetizer has improved greatly from the first time we ate it at Parker's on Ponce, and has very tender meat. We both ate the crab cakes for our entree. The crab cakes were good, but the hollandaise sauce did not quite enhance the crab cakes - I thought it tasted a little "off," but not sure I can describe the taste - more tart than buttery. The broccoli side was good, but the hash browns should be called "home fries," since they were plentiful and a little greasy. My husband had a glass of wine with his meal, and I drank iced tea. We both enjoyed the bread pudding for my birthday dessert and had some leftovers to take home, including some of the broccoli and potatoes. The manager was very friendly and checked on us from time to time. Overally, it was a very good dining experience.

Being longtime patrons of Parker's, the only suggestion I would make is at Christmas to have a bit more decorations on the tables for the customers to enjoy. This would brighten the ambience and add to the joy of dining.

Parker's is always a lovely place. This is one place in the city where I can find excellent and consistent service from when you walk in to leaving.

Danny is a fabulous waiter. He is my preferred waiter.

Kenny, the piano player, creates such a warm and cozy vibe that's just all around amazing.

Highly recommend Parker’s on Ponce!!! The entire experience was amazing. Our waiter Danny took extremely good care of us. Everything that was ordered, from the old fashioneds, grilled octopus, and different steaks were delicious and top notch!!! After dinner, we sat in the bar where Wendy hit a home run with her suggestions for our bourbon tasting. 🥃🥃🥃

The food was pretty good. Their signature drinks were just ok. If you like extra sweet drinks, this is the place for you. The ambience was great and the service was really good too.

My lunch was wonderful. This is one of my favorite restaurants for 11 years I have gone here for lunch or dinner and I have never been disappointed. The customer service is stellar. The food is delicious.

It was a Birthday Dinner for my Husband. The Staff was very attentive in making sure his dining experience was exceptional. Steak was the perfect temperature. The Octopus appetizer was the best!! Social distancing was the best we have experienced during this pandemic while dining out. Kudos to staff. We both felt safe dining there.

Dinner at the piano bar was priceless!

Parker's is a great neighborhood dining destination in the heart of Decatur. Why go to the Buckhead steakhouses when you can get the best steaks and chops in a warm, cozy spot like this that has a terrific patio for dining during the milder months!

The service was great! We would have liked the scallops to be grilled with some lemon and butter. Were a little bland. The bread pudding was wonderful! Really enjoyed being able to eat outdoors. Thank you.

We wanted a safe quality dining experience outdoors. They provided a heater for us as it was a chilly night. Food was delicious and outdoor view of downtown Decatur very nice. Felt it was a private dinner just for us.

We were greeted by a very polite and amazing hostess that made us feel very welcome. The food was amazing and so was the server. We had a wonderful night.

We made reservations and requested to be seated outdoors. We loved the patio experience at Ponce on Parker. We arrived at 5p and could almost select our table which was right next to a heat lamp. It being turned on took the chill away and made the evening enjoyable. The service was great, the cocktails even better and the food will bring us back!

Requested outdoor seating but the rain made it impossible. Hostess called 30mins prior to reservation to confirm seating preferences and was able to accommodate us inside. Server was polite and knowledgeable, trusted her enough to order my steak cooked to perfection, which it was. Highly recommend topping with the blue cheese butter. Chosen sides were a delicious truffle mac and cheese and most underwhelming sautéed spinach mixed with large onions in a cream sauce. My date chose the herb chicken with mashed potatoes and fried sprouts. It was a juicy and flavorful delight as well as the appetizers of scallops and mini beef Wellingtons. For dessert, the crime brûlée’s topping was overdone but did not diminish an overall exquisite meal and experience.

Excellent food had the short ribs and chicken. Service was good as well. There is one item to be aware of. We went on Wednesday and saw online that it was 1/2 price wine. When we received the bill the two bottles of wine we had were full price. We inquired with our waitress and she said or yes it is half price, but you have to tell me to get the discount. She continued, stating it was only good on one bottle.
Never have I had to state we wanted to 1/2 price wine when its advertised on the restaurants website. Found this very odd. Additionally, there was no indication this was only on 1 bottle.
In the end both bottles were discounted. Not sure if these are true restaurant policies or if the waitress was attempting to take advantage, but I would be aware of this going in .

Parker’s is one of our favorites. We’ve been there dozens of times. We felt safe to do patio dining and they were taking excellent precautions. Unfortunately, the food was not as good as it has always been. Perhaps it was what we ordered. The salads were very good, but pricey at $12 for essentially a side salad. Both our entrees had items that were rather greasy. The trout special on grits was swimming in oil and I couldn’t eat the hash browns for the same reason. The crab cakes were okay.

Having said all that, it is still one of our favorites. I’ll just order my usual steak next time.
