Parkers Blue Ash Tavern Ratings and Reviews
We like Parkers however guests in the next cube had a dog which whined and squeaked the entire time. I was offering lunch to 2 women one of whom I had not met before. It was an informal business connect. I am a dog lover have 2 dogs myself however if the dog is poorly trained and impacting the ambience other guests enjoying their meal this is not acceptable. Parkers said they were working on it but from my standpoint no action was taken to help with this - the couple with the dog looked to be regulars. It was a disappointing experience for me and my guests.
We went to the Sunday brunch with 8 family members. The food was excellent and the service was very good. There was something at the buffet for everyone to enjoy eating. We always look forward to going to Parkers Blue Ash Tavern. Our young grandchildren also enjoyed their meals. Our daughter-in-law went with us for the first time and rated it an A+.
Wow, turn the music down. We asked our waiter to see if the music volume could be lowered. He said he’d ask the manager. It didn’t get lower. In fact, the bar area was much quieter than the main dining area. We did mention to the hostess on the way out it was way too loud for a lunchtime crowd, or any time of day. It’s not a disco.
The gentleman who didn’t greet us was very rude. His attitude was unpleasant and made our family feel unwelcome. We didn’t have a reservation when we walked in and were told it would be quite a wait. I got on Open Table and reserved a seat right away. This aggravated him further. He was rude about it a d said that was the problem with open table.
Been here once before and our experience was much different this time. Appetizers arrived quickly. Entrees and dessert service took forever! The kitchen couldn't keep up with the orders, possibly since there were 2 large parties in the party rooms during our visit. Reconsider a visit here if you go during peak times. Our previous visit was at 5p and we had no issues.
We live in the neighborhood so it was close on a cold evening when I didn't want to cook. The calamari is excellent and we split the chicken sausage pasta dish. Which you had to look really hard to find any chicken and there was literally one piece of sausage. We had to laugh because at Teller's in Hyde Park they have the same dish and it's loaded with chicken and sausage. Also, when we ordered we told the waitress we wanted the calamari first but we had taken 2 bites of it and she was bringing out the pasta dish. I said to her that we wanted it later and she took the pasta back to the kitchen; when it came back out it was very cold. At this point it was no use to complain because we did not see her again until we had to flag her down to get another drink. Bad experience! Don't know if we will give this place another try or not.
I hate to leave bad reviews, but I was unimpressed. The martinis were not good, not good at all. We felt rushed the entire time we were there, a plate would be set down, and they would come right back asking if you were done eating. I will say, the food was excellent, but the rest of the dinning experience was horrible.
I would recommend for any reason, anytime. First time there Nov. 4th, birthday celebration and everything was perfect! Salmon was best ever! Patricia our server, was exceptional. It was an expensive meal but no regrets! Thank ypu
Went to Parker's Tavern upon recommendation by a friend. The theme of a classy restaurant had 90's music playing which I don't have a problem with, but the theme didn't fit well with the music in my opinion. The server wasn't paying much attention to our table. Had the black bean burger and it was soggy and not appetizing. After our server finally came to the table asking if we needed anything, I informed her I didn't like the burger. She didn't care much and still put it on our bill. The service for the food was not the greatest although the server was kind, nothing against that individual. Although, customer service should be the number one priority. Overall, I do not recommend going. My significant other had a burger and said the taste was not pleasing as well. Sad to say our first time going was not the greatest.
As a new patron I wish the server would have greeted us as such, explained where to go..and offered us the free drink with our brunch and the beignets I seen on all the tables.....it would have made us feel more comfortable coming there for the first time. Nice facility, brunch food was good nothing special though for the price.
Very much enjoyed the food and our friendly server. However she forgot to bring a second glass of wine that was requested so her otherwise excellent service was downgraded.
The noise level was very low in our booth across from the big fireplace. We liked that a lot. We enjoyed a nice anniversary dinner.
Love the ambiance and Parker's is a long time favorite of mine!! This last visit I was disappointed in our food. Food quality was on the par with cheaper "chain" restaurants but more expensive. Not a lot of originality in the menu. I won't be back for a long time unless it's to order a hamburger not a nice meal.
We went for brunch with friends before going to the theater. Our server was attentive, friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The food was outstanding -- especially the biscuits and gravy and the braised beef and noodles. The salads were fresh and everything was well-presented.
This was our first visit, however, it will no be our last as we were very impressed with the food quality and service. Two of us had the Saturday prime rib special, one the Penne pasta with shrimp and one the cedar plank salmon and all were very good. Pricing was in-line with this type of restaurant - an excellent value!
I've been there twice (once for lunch and once for dinner) and enjoyed it immensely both times! My father-in-law, however, had quite a different experience. He ordered the prime rib and was very disappointed. He thought it was fatty and chewy (i never order prime rib because it's like that everywhere and every time I get it). He was disappointed in the service, as well. I thought the service was very good. Unfortunately, because the only time I get to Ohio is to visit my father-in-law, it is unlikely that we'll be back to this wonderful restaurant.
We had been to Parker's a few years ago and have been trying to find the time to return. We will not wait that long again. From the time we walked in until we left a few hours later was a wonderful experience. Sat at the bar for Happy Hour and then was seated at our table. Service and food was excellent. Looking forward to going back and eating at the Tavern.
We showed up 9:30pm on Friday night. Prime rib was sold out which can be expected. Ordered drinks which took longer then it should have, probably 20+ min, had to remind the server. . Dinner was good and arrived with in a reasonable time. Check was billed incorrectly. Just didn't leave a good first impression, most likely would not return. I still left a decent tip, sometimes things happen.
