Park West Tavern
COMFORT FOOD WITH AN ATTITUDE
Our waitress was rude and condescending. She was the bartender since we were there for happy hour. It wasn't that busy from 4 to 530. All other wait staff was very pleasant.
Nice place with good food. We decided to ‘share’ some of their small plates and were pleased with them. The almond chicken nuggets were delicious and the torched avocado was a real hit. Our server was excellent at recommendations. Tasty drinks too (the Smokey Johnny is a good one). Place can be Loud, so expect to really amp up the convo. A nice overall experience.
Our reservation wasn’t honored and we had to wait at least a half hour before we were seated. Our waiter was unattractive and didn’t take our order for a very long time. The food was good but we miss some of the old menu items. Disappointing.
Great place for brunch! The restaurant is beautiful inside and we had great service.
Park West never disappoints!
We came to Park West Tavern on the spur of the moment last St. Patrick's Day, and had such a nice time that we made it a point to return this St. Patrick's day (and made many other visits in-between). The atmosphere is great. The live music made it festive. Appetizers are exceptional. Food overall is good quality and tasty. The drinks are excellent. Service very good too. This place checks off all the boxes. bottom line - a good time.
Best St. Patty’s Day celebration in Ridgewood!
Great food, atmosphere and service on St. Patrick’s Day. Service was great and the place was festive. Well done to Randy and team!
Overall a good night. Little loud for us. But we should have known. It was St Paddy. Tavern food. This is not an upscale place. Its a fancy-ish bar. Food was ok. they were crowded but sat us on time and we were not complete party. They have valet parking which is a PLUS for this neighborhood and dessert looked AMAZING but we didn't get and only saw on way out. They should have rolled out a "demo" dessert platter tray and if I had seen what I could have had I would have. Instead we went to B&J across st. Drinks were good and strong. great prices, esp on beer! And a really good selection. Server was really nice and friendly and did a great job. They messed up pretty much every special order we made ( no pork in salad, med well steak was rare, no mushrooms on steak sand came with much) little stuff but important details they need to pay attention to these. They ran out of the cool bread stuff they gave us so they sent out some toast ends. Nice attempt. But don't serve something so freaking good and then tell me you can't have any more!! Clean spot. We were happy. Not sure Id go back as there are just so many good restaurants around there that we need to try. Not for a lack of anything.
Not capable of substituting mashed potatoes for something else. I am severely lactose intolerant and they had ZERO consideration
Loved it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A very cool dining spot on Oak St. Food was outstanding. Very glad we ate there.
We were not rushed, service was great and food was excellent!
Restaurant was not busy at lunchtime.
Service was well paced, not hurried or slow.
Food was excellent. Menu had varied cuisines.
One person ordered a Korean-based dish.
Another ordered octopus with a Spanish-flavored sauce.
The third had a juicy burger.
I recommend Park West Tavern for lunch. Have not tried it for dinner.
The food was excellent. The service was great. The place was very busy. I had a reservation and i still had to wait about 10-15 minutes.
The food was great! Service was good as well. We had a reservation and sat right down. The bar is nice but drinks a bit pricey. $14 for a martini. A lot.Fun night out to dinner.
We've had good experiences before, but the food and service this last time around were lacking. Our food took a very very long time to come out, to the point of getting an apology from the manager, but there was nothing really done about it. When it came out it was severely lacking in flavor compared to the same dish just 4-5 months ago.
We've gone to Park West Tavern twice now for brunch. My date likes the burger, so he always gets that and is always satisfied. I prefer to eat breakfast items at brunch and have had 2 different ones - huevos rancheros and the quinoa and baby spinach. Both were unremarkable. In fact, I make much better versions of both at home. I prefer the bar bites menu at Park West Tavern. I cannot recommend PWT for brunch, but I do recommend it for an evening meal or bar bites. As far as service, it's spotty - sometimes good, sometimes not so good. There's always a guy (manager? owner? I have no idea) roaming around, touching base with servers, but he's never stopped at our table to check on us. It would be nice if he smiled once in a while.
We go here all the time. I really love the atmosphere and hate waiting for a table on the weekends (i.e. Raymond's or White Maple). This particular day however the service was terrible. We were in good company so, enjoyed the extra time, but had to repeatedly ask for the waiter.
Sunday brunch to celebrate my wife’s birthday with 5 adults and one child. Everyone loved the food. Service was good
Food was great and overall great dining experience. The waiter tried to pass a scotch off as a bourbon when we first ordered and it took a while to get our order in because of this. I would definitely return though.
We had 2 appetizers - mushroom toast and brussel sprouts. They were a meal, both delicious,
I have been here twice and both times it's been just ok for me I'm not saying the food isn't good I just feel that for the price the food should be better prepared and there should be more on the plate...the menu is very limited. You're probably off getting bar food and appetizers over all not a bad place I will try other places next time.
This place is consistently good with a very nice atmosphere. The restaurant is lively but the tables are separated from the bar area so it is comfortable and quiet but you can head to the bar for a drink before or after and things are little louder and social.
Good food, good atmosphere, good service. Nice night out if you're looking to stay local.
Great restaurant, meal and ambiance. Only issue was the length of time to get service between the end of our meal and deciding about dessert then to getting and paying final bill.
Went to brunch with my family. We all loved it
Excellent food. Love the fresh oysters and crab cocktail. Our waiter, Jay was the best !!!
Great food, great service 5 stars
The only flaw I could see in an otherwise excellent experience is the hard wooden chairs at the tables got uncomfortable after about 15 minutes and I had to keep standing or adjusting my position.
Park West is the perfect place for any occasion. Food is always incredible, service is great, and you can get anything from a world class burger to a steak house style chop.... never skip dessert, the zepoles are amazing, especially paired with one of their delicious cocktails
Great burgers....brunch was great
Great food and service, LOVED IT! Would defiantly go back!
Always enjoy this restaurant. It’s a little expensive but to be expected for Ridgewood.
Try the ribeye egg rolls, also the truffle burger, and hanger steak sandwich
First time dining here and we will definitely be back! Food and service were great!
New Years Eve dinner with family
One of our favorites- always great!
Drinks are watered down . Which is not acceptable.
Fine as always.
Always solid food and cozy atmosphere. Usually decent crowd at the bar but skews a little older. Seasonal menus are delicious and they have a long list of wines under $25 per bottle which is great!
