Park Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I honeymooned in Montreal recently and went out for omakase at Park. Never in my life have I had a soup as amazing as the simple beef and kimchi broth that started our taste buds adventure. The staff was so sweet, and the food a dream. Seriously, I dreamt of the butter poached lobster nights later and awoke with a disappointed, watering mouth.
Usually the food at park in good and the service is ok not great.my last visit however the service was poor and we waited over 1 hour to get our food. The sake arrived in 5 minutes. We finished our bottle before the first dish arrived (excluding the miso soup). Success may have gone to their heads, I hope they get back on track this has always been one of my favorites.
I had been waiting to check Park out for the longest time and finally was able to bring my best girlfriend here for her birthday. We both are shameless foodies and have been paying close eye and attention to Chef Antonio's work and success. We came here mainly for the fish. Order a sashimi combo (Sashimi Moriawase) and was absolutely blown away by the freshness of the fish. There is no review that I can write that can do justice. You just gotta check this place out. Google Chef Antonio Park and you will see that the hype is real.
After years of excellent food and sushi in Montreal, this was truly outstanding. Every course in the tasting menu is tasty, different. Chef Park is very creative. Blending South American treats like chimichurri, Jalapeno slices, or torched maple syrup on top of Nigiri sushi made for very different flavors which blended perfectly with the fresh fish. Definitely a keeper, we'll go back with all our friends.
I've been here multiple times and every time the food is fantastic! Service is always top notch and waitresses/waiters go out of their way to explain what's on the menu and what's fresh for the day. The chef is always creating something new to experiment. It is always an amazing experience coming here to eat lunch or dinner!!
My friend and I ordered the same thing but when it arrived, we were told the chef had substituted one of the orders because he thought we should try different things. Really?!? We were charged more than expected because the waiter omitted to tell us the price of the "chef's special" so we thought it was the same price as the seasonal maki dish on the menu. It was $10 more.
So, after sharing a big salad, 16 maki rolls, sake and one glass of wine, out bill came to $179.
It was "good" but for THAT price, I would have preferred something "fantastic".
I work in Westmount since 2001 and I have never found a spot I really enjoyed going to eat out for lunch. In my mind, Westmount was not really a destination for any food other than sandwich spots, which, as a teacher, I try to avoid.
Not only am I excited that there is a sushi restaurant in Westmount, but I am excited that I can have great Korean dishes and I can have a bento box, and there is enough variety to really satisfy my Asian cravings when i get them.
My husband and I went to this restaurant for our 13th wedding anniversary and hate the best sushi ever! However, to my opinion, it is a bit overpriced but since it was for a special occasion, it was OK. Very happy we tried it, but don't think we will come back because of the price....but overall nice experience and will recommend this restaurant to others for special times only!
We reserved a Saturday lunch after having seen the restaurant on Guide Resto Voir channel evasion. Everything looked fantastic, varied menu and reasonable lunch time prices.
We were surprised when we arrived and the Saturday lunch menu consists of rice bowl, noodle bowl or BLT. The special was nice.
My girlfriend had a cocktail, we had a small sake, 2 coffees, 1 special and one noodle bowl. Total, .... 112.00$ including taxes.
A very expensive lunch indeed.
Sorry, but for these prices and limited choices, we can't recommend this establishment to anyone.
Loved my brunch at Park. It was different and creative. They have some traditional brunch dishes with a twist - A Kim Chee BLT and their French toast with what I can guess is a maple/soy glaze. (apparently they don't always make the french toast but they should!) Heavenly. You can also usually get a sashimi dish-du-jour or the traditional Korean dish Bimbimbap. I will definitely go back. Also I recommend you visit their fine-foods store next door which also has delicious warm and cold take-out. in addition to their favorite fine-food products (marmalades, sauces, cheeses, drinks) coffee-bar, fresh sandwiches. Loved it.
Chef Antonio Park is an artist! From the spicy kimchi soup to the main course, it was an amazing experience. Complex flavors, rich textures, the fish was incredibly fresh. Service was very good although a bit distant. I highly recommend this restaurant, the sashimi is a must-try.
I came to this restaurant for a birthday dinner. It was my first time here. We ate the Asian salad and deconstructed salad for two. The flavours were very savory and there were elements of the deconstructed salad that were new to us. The salmon bibimbap was smokey flavour, the salmon was crispy on the outside and the texture on the inside was soft and plump. We enjoyed the different varieties of fresh fish that we cannot find here in Montreal.
The staff were very friendly, sociable and explained all out dishes and the different a sauces to use with the variety of fish. I will definitely come back, the food is palatable and delicious.
My husband & I ate yet another absolutely delicious lunch at Park. I make a point of doing lunch here once a month as it is both affordable and at the top end of quality. My favourite is the Park lunch that starts with Miso soup followed by a long platter of 8-10 makis and 6 sushis of 3 different varieties of the freshest melt-in-your-mouth fish - always Antonio's choice. Definitely fills you without that I-ate-too-much feeling. The service is prompt - wait staff seem to appear only when you need them. since the restaurant is small, it is imperative that a reservation is made. Enjoy!
Great place to go with friends, the atmosphere is open but cozy, the food is NOT your run of the mill and the service is fast and friendly. We shared a sushi plate and an asian fusion "bol" and both were amazing! Will definitely return to try some of their other dishes.
Service was excellent for the most part except for a busgirl in training that was absolutely dreadful. Some staff don't speak French, so -1 for that. The food was excellent, however sometimes the dishes were piled up even when the tastes didn't mesh together well (example: sweet garlic sauce with mushrooms and jalapenos on top delicate sushi rolls), but once "unpiled" were very good. Portions were huge, presentations spectacular. Ended up costing way too much, though, gotta be careful what you order.
We went for lunch, but we found it was very expensive for a lunch meal. We had two Park dejeuner, which is 10 makis and 6 nigiris. The meal was delicious, but we would have prefered to taste more kinds of makis, instead of 10 of the same flavor. Although they were very good.
We had one drink and a beer and two deserts, which made the bill over 100$ including taxes and tip.
If I returned to the Park, I would try the tasting menu for sure.
All the plates we have seen on tables looked great and seems to be very good.
