There was a private event happening so there was no hostess to seat us for our reservation. We got the run around and was told to check in somewhere else only to be told to go back and check in at the patio and then told to go back inside again. Was not pleasant walking back and fourth thru a crowded casino. The food was good, not over the top as I expected. The mashed potatoes tasted like they can out of a box.
My wife and I were in Tahoe to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary and I made a reservation at Park Prime.
Menu was too truncated! Not much choices, was disappointed in that! Been going to Park Prime as our go to dinner place several times a year. I understand about the affect of Covid-19, but the menu could have had a better offering.
Due to Covid, the steakhouse is currently on the patio in front of the hotel. Not the fine dining experience. All the noise of the street and cars were the atmosphere. Not what I picture for a fine dining steakhouse.
Only 3 parties sitting at the tables and still took an hour to get our food that was ordered immediately upon sitting at the table. The steak was over cooked - very disappointing.
Great service and Food! Making sure to stop by there again next. I'm in Tahoe.
Food was great, atmosphere was great. Prices were a bit steep.
I really love park Prime , Pre-Covid . The food is still great , but be aware the COVID menu is very very limited . It’s was a little disappointing they chopped the menu down by at least 60%. I won’t be going back to park prime until they add more options to their menu .
Our server was brand new and missed my husband’s salad order and delivered my salad and our $75 at the same time so my steak got cold while I ate my salad and my husband had his steak while he waited for his salad.
Great server and accommodation. Delicious food and drinks.
My experience? Pretty poor. Book with family for a special occasion. Hostess was great, busboy came by after 15 minutes to give us water, but our waiter, Peter (?), never showed up, nor did anyone else.
Oh yeah, the menu Park Prime has posted online is NOT the menu you get when seated. Expect a very slimed down choice of appetizers and main courses, and a FULL 50% uplift from the online menu. Park Prime, you’ve had 4 months to update your online menu since COVID hit.
And if you’re wondering, I did email the restaurant about our night, but haven’t heard back. I will after I write to corporate. Caveat emtor
Food was not cooked how I asked when the server took it back the straight microwave it’s burnt. Mast over price and server was not friendly.
It was my husband and I’s 10 year wedding anniversary and we chose to celebrate it at park prime. Not a very good decision. The only mention of our special day was from the hostess who was very sweet. The server never said anything about it which was disappointing because we did choose to spend our special evening there. The food was incredibly expensive for something I could’ve cooked at home. The 20 ounce prime that we got had no flavor and was just a giant piece of meat on a plate that costed us $75. We added a $10 side of asparagus that was eight pieces bland and disappointing. The Chilean Seabass that we got was a small piece of unflavored fish that sat on top of what looked and tasted like a puddle of water. The potatoes that came with it were drenched in rosemary and that’s all you could taste this again was incredibly expensive for the disappointment that we got on the plate. The menu that we saw online was not the same as the restaurant. And the prices were very different as well. I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.
The food and service were phenomenal! I had a filet that was cooked to perfection along with lobster escargot for an appetizer that was delicious. The truffle Mac and cheese is fantastic! My BIGGEST complaint is that they allow dogs in a fine dining establishment. This was NOT a service dog. It was a big dog the size of a lab. This is not okay. Do not intend to go back again. We travel to Tahoe regularly and will find another place to dine.
Excellently prepared. Large portions. Gary made us feel welcome and made a fantastic recommendation for the lob’scargot! So good.
Definitely overpriced for the quality of food. The place was empty, which I should’ve taken as a sign. Had a super friendly server though.
This place was absolutely phenomenal, it was our second visit and we were celebrating a few birthdays as well as our engagement. The staff was more than accommodating and the meal was delicious.
We come here frequently but this last visit was not great. The service was terrible, the food came out room temp and over cooked. It was extremely loud in the restaurant as well. Our drinks were way over poured like tasted like straight booze not cocktails. Overall not worth the price this visit.
Reservation occurred at 6:15 on a Saturday evening. Ambience was pleasant, server was attentive, engaging and knowledgeable of both food and wine menus. Ordered steak, crab and mushrooms for dinner. The steak was cooked marvelously to a medium rare temperature however lacked full potential flavor. Mushrooms were cooked with rosemary and al dente, under seasoned as well. On the other end of the spectrum the crab legs were overly seasoned with salt unfortunately. The meal was overall underwhelming leaving myself and guest to leave leftovers behind. We corked the remaining wine and sought a second dinner later in the evening before saying good evening to our trip.
We had a great experience at Park Prime! We had a group of 8 for an Anniversary party. They didn't do anything extra for the table (Ruth Chris always does rose petals for anniversaries, or other high end restaurants do a fun dessert) but the service was great, timing of everything was great, everyones food came out great except for the people who ordered linguine pasta. It was very bland, noodles were dry and just had no taste at all. We enjoyed everything else so we didn't make a fuss. Just would not recommend ordering that, stick to steak at a steak house I guess.
Our server was very attentive, friendly and fun! The food was inconsistent in temperature but tasted good. The bartender was also attentive, personable and was working hard. Overall an OK to good experience but pricey for the overall experience.
Service was extremely poor. Our
Dinner reservations were at 7pm and it took 30 minutes just to get our drinks then another 2 hours for our food and wine🤨
Our first time. I felt bad for our server...he wasn't feeling well and had to leave in the middle of our dinner. While not anyone's fault, it didn't make for the best experience. The food was really good and the wine was fabulous!
It was the only thing available so we had dinner. The steaks were good with the strip topping that chart. I had crab cakes which were marginal at best. The crabmeat was overwhelmed with filler and seasoned to the point you couldn’t taste the crab.
The waitress and staff were very friendly and helpful! It's a pretty expensive place, but the portions and ambiance are really worth the price. Food was great!
Food was very good but a little pricey. The waitstaff had excellent recommendations. Cocktails were well made, not watered down. I will definitely eat here again.
Beautiful venue, amazing food, staff was first class, the value of the food was reasonable and we were very pleased with our overall experience here. We will return.
Recently enjoyed a wonderful dining experience at Park Prime with family as a party of six. We had an incredible server and she was supported by other support staff, so we wanted for nothing at any moment in time - every request was met with a smile and prompt attention. We enjoyed every bite of food from the oysters and crab cakes shared around the table, to beautifully prepared salads - simple but delicious, and then perfectly prepared, presented and cooked steaks. Every bite was satisfying and the overall experience as a whole was impressive and delightful. Would HIGHLY recommend Park Prime for a beautiful evening out in South Lake Tahoe.
Steaks were outstanding. Portions were large , so we decided to share , which worked out great.
Great food, service, and atmosphere. We had the seafood tower and filet. They were both awesome!
Yes, we recommend Park Prime. We were made to feel welcome, had excellent service and incredible food. Our steaks were prepared perfectly!
We were a party of 6. Everyone except for me ordered the Filet. They were all cooked wrong. Most of them were cooked well done. My NY Strip was okay but I was done eating by the time all of the other food arrived. The waitress was very nice and I'm sure embarrassed. She took care of some of the side items but unfortunately it was super disappointing.
Tomahawk steak was fantastic. Potatoes and asparagus were pretty underwhelming. The dressing on the wedge was so, so sweet; almost off-putting. Best thing about our dinner was the steak and our server. Unfortunately I don’t recall his name but he was an older gentlemen and he was excellent! Attentive without being too over-bearing and chatty enough and it seemed authentic.
It was our first time in the hotel, therefore first time to dine there. The food was excellent and so was the service. Was surprised by the lack of people in the restaurant and in the hotel for that matter. We will go back again next time we are in town.
Good food, good price, good service. The quality of meats were worderful. And the best side was the macarron and chese with lobster. The deserts was amazing (ny chescake).
The food was great and our server was outstanding.
It was fine. We went with friends for a pre nye dinner. We had a baby and nobody seemed to mind. The food was fine and the service was quick. I wouldn’t go back other than for convenience but I really can’t say anything bad!
Our first time to dine here. We had a lovely meal, food was great and Brent was very cheerful and knowledgeable about the food. We will definitely return for dinner on our next vacation to Heavenly,Tahoe.
Worse dining experience ever - it was the chef's first day. Our server tried to help but we will never come back.
Oysters Rockefeller were very fresh and perfectly composed. Steaks were great but wedge salad was drowning in dressing. Very tasty dressing but just way too much.
