Park Place Restaurant & Bar Ratings and Reviews
Although we had an 8:15 reservation we were not seated until 9:30. We expected some items to be taken off the bill , such as appetizers but merely received 10% off the bill. The amount did not come close to covering the extra hour each of us waited and had to pay babysitters for. It was a disappointment.
Went for New Years Eve. Food was excellent. While there was a set menu for dinner there were ample choices for appetizers, entrees and desserts, unlike other restaurants I’ve been to with set menus that may have only 3 or 4 choices. A good time was had by all in our party.
We shared the Nachos and beet salad for a party of four. They were really delicious, especially the nachos. I wanted to order another, but I knew my entree was forthcoming. For my main meal, I had the short ribs. It came with creamy mashed potatoes and crisp string beams. The short ribs was fork tender and was made with a luscious tomato based sauce. I was very pleased with my meal.
Park Place never ceases to amaze us. Their creativity and specials are always pleasant. I had the Grouper Monachina special with Zucchini pasta. This was outstanding. The blend of the Fish and clams in a lite broth with marina was excellent. The Zucchini Pasta was amazing and made this a pretty healthy Choice. My wife has the Pork Chop Margherita with Buffalata, which was amazing.
Not to forget the excellent service and attention.
Great Job as always.
Foods great, place is attractive. Can get a little noisy in the bar restaurant section but private room in back. I'm lucky enough to live near by and havent had a bad meal there yet. Only negative is big tv screen in back. It would be nice to have some restaurants NOT have a tv on all the time. If I want to eat and watch something I'll go to a bar.
This restaurant is one our family's favorite places to enjoy a wonderful meal and a cozy setting. The food is great and the wait staff is very attentive. We love the calamari appetizer, and other great dishes among the entrees include steak frites, salmon, sole and the braised short ribs.
Great Prix Fix menu. Food was delicious. Service was wonderful. My father used a walker and it was difficult for him to walk in and out the main entrance. However, the waiter saw my Dad and I struggling to exit the restaurant and he immediately ran over to help.
Located on a corner of a quiet street in business section of Stewart Manor NY you will find this restaurant. As you enter you think it's renovated the day before. It is clean there. Went before the dinner crew would start and so the restaurant was quiet with about 10 patrons there. The bar is nice, as I said..looks brand new. I heard about thru a friend who said it was packed on the weekends and reservations were needed. It was a Tuesday late afternoon and it was dreary and drizzly outaide. The bartender Chris was manning all the tables and the bar at the same time. He looked just like my nephew and with the same cool attitude. He made a great suggestion of beer, a pineapple IPA that wasn't too hoppy. It was fantastic and iced cold too. Had some fresh blueprint oysters and the special they had of grilled oysters with cheese...so yummy. I really need to go back, but only when Chris is around. Cool cat and nice guy!!
Always a positive dining experience here from service to food. Family from out of town was very impressed. Love that the menu doesn't change much and that's because the things they offer are done so well. Look for seasonal changes but the whole menu is solid. Start with a wedge salad and split it. Get a beef or fish entree and top it off with an after dinner dessert(funnel Oreos) or cocktail (salted caramel and espresso martini are delish!) Cant go wrong here-this is going to become your neighborhood go to restaurant with a sophisticated atmosphere, outstanding food, drink and service!
The hostess was very courteous and helpful. My guest was running late and she offered to have me seated, wait at the bar or just remain in the front. I was quickly swept into a conversation from someone at the bar . This is one of the things I love about this place.
My guest arrived and we were seated at a quiet little table towards the back (Great Choice!) Our waiter was new and being shadowed by a seasoned waitress. He was polite attentive and very helpful with the menu. Im sorry but I don't remember his name.
My guest and I had the lobster bisque soup and she had Organic Half Chicken while I had the Pork Weinersnitzel, both were perfectly prepared and delicious.
Throughout the meal my guest was teasing the busboy, Tomas, about being to quick to want to take the bread and the plates away. He was actually very polite every time he apporched.
By evenings end, as we sipped our cappuccinos and finished our ice cream my guest and Tomas engaged in a conversation in Spanish. She encouraged him to speak English which he did, although he apologized for how badly he spoke it. We assured him his English was fine and my guest helped him out when he got stuck for an English translation of a word.
He told us he was in school to learn English. We encouraged him to speak it more because he would learn faster.
We and he were very comfortable in our conversation and the sense that there was no rush to get out was , and always is , terrific.
Thanks for another spectaculr evening.
My wife and I love the Kobe Sliders from the appetizer menu. With a salad as starter it makes a great light meal.
Couldn't help but notice how great the salmon main course looked. We won a gift certificate from one of the other local businesses, so I am going for the salmon the next time.
