Park Heights Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. We were escorted to our seat upon arrival. Our waiter (John) was excellent. He gave us time to look over the menu, answered any questions we had and checked on us several times during the meal. The food was excellent and the ambiance was perfect for our celebration. We weren't rushed at all at any time during our meal. We will definitely be back!
We had a wonderful dinner. Our waiter was John Blue Gray and he was fantastic. He recommended the special and he was right, it was terrific. He brought each course at the perfect timing; we were never rushed and we never waited. Had the fried green tomatoes for appetizer - I don't even like tomatoes but I loved those! This was our first visit but we will be back.
Park Heights has a variety of dining options to suit every palate and taste. Patio at lunch makes it appropriate for well behaved children, yet quiet enough to conduct business or an intimate ladies's lunch. In the evening, the rooftop offers a beautiful view of downtown for drinks, noshing, and catching up with friends. The bar is cozy for a bite with friends, and the dining room can offer full meal service for more formal evening. If your favorite cocktail isn't on the menu, McCoy can craft one even better. A favorite spot.
Our first time back since the new chef was in the kitchen. Had the starter shrimp and grits...large enough for a dinner, luckily we shared. The buttermilk fried Quail with a bed of couscous was excellent...and again you could have it for your main course. The grouper was nicely blackened. Look forward to trying some other dishes.
We had to be in Red Bay Al and there's no reasonable restaurants in that area. Park Heights in Tupelo was not that far so we felt it would be worth the drive and it was. The owner/maitre d was very knowledgeable about the history of Tupelo and shared where some of Elvis' early influences came from. Appetizers were well thought out and very good. Presentation was excellent. We both had fish for entres. Both the Pompano and their special for the evening, a sea bass were good but over cooked and dry. It was unfortunate and a bit of a let down. But our overall experience was good.
This was the second time there in three months. We don't live in MS, but while visiting Oxford we loved it the first time so we had to come back. Food was delicious again, the service this visit was hugely disappointing. It was as if we were a bother. Took our drink order, came back and was asked "so are you ready to order". We ordered our meal, but there was no asking if we wanted an appetizer to start, do we want a salad or soup to go with the meal. Took the menus, then in about 15 min our food was delivered. The waiter did not come by once to ask how our food was, didn't ask if we would like another beverage. No refill on our water. I finished my meal, my companion was half way done, we noticed that some tables had bread, ours did not. We waved down another server to get two pieces of bread. My plate was now gone so had bread without a plate. As we were still eating , the dessert menus were dropped off. Still no water refilled, no ask if we would like another beverage, four empty glasses. During our dinner, there certainly was a lot of attention to the table next to us. Perhaps it was because they had been assumed to be reviewers of food establishments, but certainly the waiter seemed to forget the rest of the patrons. We were asked if we would like a dessert, but since my companion wasn't done eating, I said perhaps after we are done eating they could check back. Then the ask of additional drinks came, at this point, why? Already done eating. We opted to forgo on the dessert and went to another place to have a treat. I typically don't have negative reviews, but I have been in this industry and had served at higher end places so I usually give a break for busy times, etc. This, to me, was just not acceptable. So much so that my companion, who is newer to fine dining noticed it as well. I am not high maintenance but when the first visit was exceptional and this visit was the complete opposite in service, I want the owner to know. Food 5, Service this time - 1
My husband and I eat there on occasion and we thoroughly enjoyed our past 2 visits. Our kids came home and brought friends and we chose Park Heights . We had steak and fish . Both of the dishes were excellent . The service was also wonderful. Park Heights is a great place to dine and have cocktails with friends and family. I would highly recommend .
Took my lady here for Valentine's Day. It's very much a hidden gem. Not many people seem to realize this place is here but it is in a renovated part of Tupelo so I guess. Food was great, slightly overpriced but I'd imagine most people would go here and not care about that. It seems to be a classy special occasion type spot. Bar was tiny but cozy. Service was superb. Also, while it was closed they have a rooftop overlooking the strip and downtown Tupelo. I can imagine during the warm months that is a great spot to hang out when you aren't in the dining room. I'd definitely go back!
Well first of all it was Valentine's Day and they were realitivy busy although the service was good the crab bisque was served Luke warm so we sent it back and we should have sent the entrees back with the sodium level but scraped the best we could and ate it.... For the prices they charge I expected much more so be prepared with cocktails wine and dinner to spend a $100 per person a little strong in Tupelo....
I am not certain how many times I have dined at Park Heights (probably a dozen or more since it opened) but it never disappoints me. Our group of three was there on a relatively quiet Monday night. The restaurant was full but not crowded. We were seated in a quiet space and were able to speak and be heard at regular conversational levels. That was nice. The food was very good and the service was excellent. This is one of about three restaurants I will recommend to Tupelo visitors looking for a good, upscale meal.
Our server was Bradley. He never introduced himself. I had to ask his name. The menu was no where close to what you see on the website. After ordering appetizer & wine.. we placed our order for the entrée. When the entrée arrived we asked for some bread with our steak/veggies/potatoes. He said he would be right back with bread. He never showed and after 15 minutes came back and said he was trying to get our bread. We told him not to worry. A "supposedly" 5-star restaurant with no bread!!!!! We opted out of the dessert and went down the walk to Fairpark Grill and had wonderful dessert. Upon, mentioning there about our disappointment in our meal at Park Heights, the waiter told us it's not unusual and quite often they come and borrow food/drink items from them. Maybe just a bad night, but I would be have to be very convinced to go back, or to recommend Park Heights to anyone else.
We overnight in Tupelo about thee times a year when passing through to visit mom. We had never been here before and decided to give it a try. I am glad we did because this is the best in town, and we have eaten at all of the other fine dining establishments. The service by Brandon was impeccable. The food was prepared and presented perfectly. I had the steak and my wife had the pompano. This was a perfect anniversary celebration! We will be back. Again and again!
This is by far the best restaurant I have ever eaten at. The service was great and friendly. The food was phenomenal. I especially enjoyed the grouper. I will be telling my friends about park heights. And I will for sure come back when in this side of the state's again.
No doubt, our experience was 5-Star!
Beginning with the ease & convenience of online reservation...
Barbara, the hostess, made everything from the first impression to the last first class!
McCoy, the bartender, is so graceful and there when you need him, but not invasive. Just Right!
Sasha, our server, was superb! Then, to top it off, the meal was delicious! Blair has a great staff and seems to be glad we came!
Kudos to Park Heights, and thanks for making our New Year's Eve a wonderful experience!

food was execlant, our waiter did not wait on use when we arrived walked by many time, we ask a different waiter for service and he sent the other guy by, he was not the caliber waiter that should be working at the a resturant as nice as this, also the Martani is over priced for Tupelo, $18.00 for Goose, ouch.
Overall was disappointed in the service, food was good. We had to wait 20 minutes before anyone even asked if we wanted water. I thought this was one of the best restaurants in Tupelo. The food and atmosphere was very nice, just the service was not what I expected.
If you don't mind waiting 20-30 minutes before being waited on then I would go.
Best night ever! It was my 50th birthday. My 12 year old son wanted it to be special especially since we lost his dad recently. I had flowers sent ahead of time. The staff gave them to him to present to me. They helped him choose the top items on the menu for us. They allowed him to be the man of the table and spoil me. The food was excellent, the staff was amazing. We will never forget the entire experience. Chef Chris even came to our table to meet us personally. It was more than dinner. It was an event. Thank you Park Hrights.
