Parxgrill Ratings and Reviews
Apparently they have a fixed price menu in addition to the regular menu on nights when there is a concert in the Xcite Center. Tonight it was $49. I had lobster bisque, surf & turf (shrimp and filet) and flourless chocolate cake, all excellent. My wife had shrimp and crab cake appetizer, salmon over lump crab mashed potatoes, and cheesecake, also all excellent. As always the service was impeccable!
We know it is a casino restaurant, but it felt like a diner with place-mats. We had about 5 waiters, and never got to build any rapport. Servers were not trained very well. The crab on top of the Filet Oscar was ice cold. Filet was decent, as was my partner's rib eye, but really nothing special for the price. The salad that promised beets, etc had just about only beets and one tiny fried ball of goat cheese. Very, very tiny - a $13 salad. The restaurant was very noisy - my only option above was "energetic", you need to give another option. It was cold in there - the fake fire wall was teasing us about being warm. Won't be going back.
Restaurant and food were great. Disappointed that after dinner and the concert I was there to see, I came back to the bar but was not able to have a 3rd cocktail because there was an hourly limit. I think you should let people know especially after having a very expensive meal with no limitation at the table.
Great night out, dinner before a show. Food was great. Lamb chops cooked perfect, Polenta fries amazing, grilled vegetables just right so all in all a wonderful meal. Wait staff is friendly and goes out of their way. Highly recommend Parx Grill no other place around like this.
Here’s the deal with this restaurant. #1-Parx Grille does not fully understand what “fine dining”is and that is very evident with the service. It’s not that it was bad but it wasn’t that great either. The servers barely paid attention to us and when they did they completely rushed us through our dinner. They missed the mark several times and again it wasn’t complaint worthy but just average at best. #2- the food pretty good which saved them from getting a bad rating from me. #3- the smoke smell is very noticeable in the restaurant and that is a very big negative for us. You don’t go to a fine dining establishment to walk out smelling like an ashtray. For us, we do not gamble and came for the opening of the Xcite Center. We love going to shows and dinner prior and I believe we are the exact additional audience Parx is trying to capture. So my advice to Parx is do something about the smoke and spend some time truly understanding service. Why don’t you cut down on the smoking in the facility and have non smoking areas? We had to walk through people everywhere smoking. There was no other way to get to that side of the casino with out it. To close, I would say again the food was presented nicely and tasty And we were pleased with that!
My experience was nothing short of fantastic, our waiter was exceptional & attentive. The food was awesome (my mother-in-law ) is still thanking me for taking her to parx grill for her 68th b-day. My 1st impression was a lasting one and we WILL definitely walk through parx doors again in 2018 !!!
Staff was amazing paying attention to every need and having an award winning personality. Rock was our main server and he was incredible dealing with all of our substitutes. The meatball apps were delicious and the brick chicken was to die for with every bit. Parxgrill was a very pleasant surprise.
Celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary here. We were looking for something fun to do instead of just going to dinner and coming home but we couldn't do an overnight. Decided on a little gambling to add excitement to the night so we made a reservation at Parx Grill. We had the shrimp cocktail which was like a meal itself, the shrimp were huge. Then we shared the beat salad, delicious. I had the filet mignon and my husband had the cowboy ribeye. My steak was perfect but my husband did not like his (the reason for the 4 stars on food). Then we shared banana cream pie and the waitress brought it out with a candle and sang to us. The service was attentive and kind. The ambiance was nice. Only con is because the restaurant is all open to the casino floor the cigarette smoke wafts in which is unpleasant while eating, but if you can't deal with cigarette smoke then you probably don't come to the casino so this would not deter us from eating here again. My dirty martini was top notch and my husband's espresso martini was all he hoped it to be!
The restaurant is in the casino which is understandable but some more signage outside would help. The place looks a bit gaudy and outdated but nice and clean.
We had good service with drinks and appetizers. However, we got there at 7pm and it was 8:11pm and we still hadn’t been served out entrees. Tables behind and in front of us were served and those people came after us. We asked for the manager and told him to charge us for our drinks and apps so we could leave. He then told us that or entrees were ready and he would only charge us half price. It was another 10 minutes and then a different server brought them out and we just told him to pack them up to go. The manager came back with the entrees packed in a bag and said they were on the house. He then informed us that because my husband ordered a bone-in chicken dish, it takes 26 minutes to make the meal. That is still the longest 26 minutes I have ever experienced.
I don’t believe the ambience or the food is worth the price.
I can't even explain how great of a place this is. Scott is the best server in the business The food is just spectacular. Everything is perfect. Located in a quiet spot in a casino you would never even know you were in a casino. We go there sometimes just for dinner Valet is so fast. The people who work there could not be nicer. Never a wait for your table. Ever. Fast service. Bread is perfect. Salads are perfect. Fine selection of anything you want. If you want a perfect meal, run don't walk to this place.
