Park Cafe Ratings and Reviews
I’m a Nashville native who has somehow missed this place for many years. I’ve heard great reviews about Park Cafe and finally went to eat dinner. It was really delicious- I cleaned my plate. I had Salmon with Jasmine Chili rice and a Moscow mule. Honestly, with so many trendy places in town these days, this place stays above the Edison bulbs and marquee signs facet with quality food and a comfortable, classy atmosphere. I’ll return with friends and family.
Park Cafe has been a staple for us, however, we were very disappointed. The oysters were not fresh, they had a funny odor, one of us had a filet which was not good quality and the asparagus with the filet was inedible. However, our other vegetables were good and dessert was delicious. Sad to say we do not plan to return.
We hadn't eaten at The Park Cafe in several years. Too busy chasing the new places. We were really impressed with the food, decor and service. Had mac and cheese as an appetizer. I could make a whole meal on that alone. I had the trout which I'd order again. My husband had the curry bowl and thought it was good but probably would not order again.
The restaurant was not at all crowded at the early hour we went. We try to avoid going anywhere at prime time.
We will definitely go back soon.
Park Cafe' is always consistent. Good food, good drinks, nice wine list and a good place to grab a date dinner or just get a happy hour cocktail before heading home. No only is it a neighborhood place but more reasonable than many of the newer places that have opened downtown.
We sat outside on the patio which was really nice. It was quiet and, if anything, we were the loud ones because we have a toddler who likes to try to talk to everyone. We asked to sit in a corner though and they were acommodating. We ordered multiple items off the small dishes menu and everything was great. Our server was awesome, very friendly, good with our chatty son, and everything was fast. The prices were great too, especially for being in Nashville. I would say attire is business casual. Super happy. We're in Nashville for business once a month and we'll definitely return.
Keep Park Cafe on your go-to list! I used to love Park Cafe and even leveraged this spot for multiple team dinner events for work. They have consistently been very accommodating on menu, seating, etc. Then i drifted away from the area to try newer spots across Nashville, coming back occasionally for happy hour on the patio, which is quite nice and a good value.
Had a foodie friend in town last week and for some reason decided to try Park Cafe with her vs trying something new in town. Turns out she had never been to this area and loved it all: the neighborhood, restaurants, etc. Sylvan Park is special. We started with well priced happy hour wine and apps (hummus which is better than most, mac n cheese which was amazing as usual and margarita pizza). Such a great start! For dinner I had the salmon (a long time house specialty) and my friend got two smaller plates (beef and an arugula salad I think). Everything was excellent and we both made a note to come back again.
I think the hassle of parking may have discouraged me from frequenting Sylvan Park in the past year. I now know of easy street parking and will certainly put Park cafe and Caffe Nonna back on my short list!
I put together a birthday dinner for a friend. It was my first time at Park Café so I didn't know what to expect. The food was amazing. The series was very attentive and the ambiance was lovely for a gathering of a 10 ladies. The ambiance was nice and not stuffy. Will come back for some girls' night out.
The Park Cafe never fails to impress. The cocktails are splendid, with all kinds of inventive new drinks on the menu to try. Personally, I don't experiment that much, but nor do I need to, as my martini is always perfect. The food is great, with delightful specials every time. The servers clearly know what they're doing, and its always a pleasure to discuss menu options with them. Best of all, the prices are very reasonable.
My husband and I come here on occasion for a date night. We have sat in both the main section as well as the bar section for late night cocktails. The main area is tucked away and very quiet. As always the food was excellent. The cocktails were great too. We love the Park Cafe.
Valet parking good since busy street. Food was excellent, especially if you have travelled abroad and appreciate great food. I went during happy hour and drinks were discounted. The waiter however, forgot one of the appetizers we ordered because he was covering too many tables. That being said, I would definitely go again.
Park Café and Chef Willy Thomas always goes the extra mile to please you and provide consistency. You can hear yourself talk (Once I asked them to adapt the Pandora station) and enjoy your special cuisine. We had the mussels for appetizers and very delicious and plentiful. Also we had the trout for dinner which was quite meaty and tender. Unfortunately, we wanted the bread pudding but they were all out. Next time try their patio dining in the back!
