Second visit to Park Avenue Tavern for brunch and just as good as the first. Crab cake Benedict and Bloody Mary were both fabulous! Highly recommend.
Dinner was good. Service was on time. Friendly & polite waitress. Nothing exceptional but nothing bad either. I dont like when you pay extra for your side of fries when ordering a burger but i guess thats NYC.
Drink i got was really good though.
Loud place but expected - not the best of looking for a more quiet place.
Very nice and attentive service. Food was great. Recommended for lunch and cocktails.
Would probably not choose this again but fair dinner !
Was there on a Monday night and noise level was high; making conversation slightly difficult. Drinks were good. My colleague felt her entrée was good. I had a salad which was overdressed and not as described.
Would go back again for a drink and a quick meeting but not for an important dinner.
Lively pub environment. We tried a variety of dishes (some vegetarian, some with meat); all were thoroughly enjoyed. Eggplant fries are awesome. Noisy enough to feel the energy but not too noisy - conversation still possible.
Good near-work go-to for lunch. And now serving "Adult Spaghetti-Os," with meatballs.
Good value, casual and excellent service. Nice locale and fun ambiance. Nice selection of local beers.
I took my brother to brunch for his birthday. We both enjoyed the food and ambiance. Our was polite and professional. Will definitely be back.
Enjoyed our experience and waitress was attentive and nice. Enjoyed the Park Ave Tavern
Burger is great. wine list not too bad either and reasonably priced. Service is always solid
Usually good but my chicken sandwich was not well cooked and although I knew, the waiter failed to mention that substituting fries for chips would cost $4.
Met my friends for lunch. Our waitress was friendly, gave great recommendations for lunch, and the food came out quickly. The food was good. I would go back for sure.
Great location, great food. It was very loud which made conversation a bit difficult so just be aware if that is a concern for you. Service was impeccable.
Food was great. I had salmon filet (rare) on my salad. So good. I also had food envy when I saw other salads and burgers on other's plates
Park Avenue Tavern exceeded my expectations in every way. It was a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion as the staff was very attentive and made extra efforts to make the dinner memorable. The food is incredible. My boyfriend and I really enjoy sharing different options from the creative small plates, salads, and flatbreads. Note that they have changing specials as well. I look forward to dining at Park Avenue Tavern in the future very soon. The bar scene is vibrant, and there is also downstairs bar and dining if you prefer a quieter spot.
Park Tavern is in my neighborhood, and a great go-to place for almost any meal, at any time.
We frequent it often, and find the staff, the ambiance, and the food and drinks to be exemplary .
They got rid of the best app on the menu; the French dip. Even with that, it's a great pub with amazing food and a great atmosphere. It is by far the best place for lunch or a drink in the area and that is why it's crowded all the time.
Good ambiance, fine food and great service!
My family had brunch at Park Avenue Tavern on a recent Saturday, and it was great! I had the crab benedict, which was one of the best I've ever had. Very light and flavorful. The bloody mary was delicious, and included the perfect amount of spice. My sons both had burgers, which they loved. And we topped off our meals with the chocolate chip cookie pie. Delicious! The service was attentive, and the location is convenient to Grand Central Station. We'll definitely return!
Great neighborhood restaurant. We sat in a booth in the front of the restaurant which is enjoyable as long as you don't mind the after work crowd. For a quick dinner the "Tavern or Park" burger is great. Salmon over Kale is delicious!
I enjoyed my 1st visit here - (so conveniently located near Grand Central) for a nice & relaxing business lunch. I had the tomato bisque and ribeye sliders, (a perfect combination) and quite delicious. Our table was at the front window on Park Ave, and felt super-comfy, sunny and pleasant. Overall a perfect place for a casual business lunch or a get together with friends. Highly recommended.
If only they offered happy hour.... Rating would have been higher. Food and ambiance were very good, especially for the neighborhood. Service friendly but not attentive enough and very slow on drinks. 1.5 drinks pp drove our bill over 50 pp despite that three of us shared 1 appie, had low priced meals (1 burger, 2 salads) had no dessert/coffee. Excellent cobb salad and good burger, but not 50$ worth.
Had lunch with a friend in the bar area. We both ordered salads, which were quite good. Will definitely be back when looking for a casual spot with good food near Grand Central.
We were put off by the noise level, and requested a quieter area. After a couple of attempts to be moved, we were seated in the basement, which was quiet. However, the service was slow, and the food was disappointing.
Went for lunch...good food and attentive service. Easy to get a reservation on short notice. Sat at a high-top, as there were no booths available.
This wasn't my first trip to Park Ave Tavern and it most definitely won't be my last. PAT is a standout in midtown east - a refreshing reprieve from the vast disappointment of overpriced, mediocre food in the neighborhood. It is part of In Good Company Hospitality Group ( The Bungalow Bar; Refienry Rooftop; Parker and Quinn; Trademark And others). They seem to have the authority on hospitality, like they give a copy of Danny Meyer's 'Setting the Table' out to all their new hires. It's up the street from grand central so expect a nice happy hour crowd which, nicely enough clears up a bit on weeknights after around 8pm. PAT is always consistent in both food and service. Anytime I've walked in I've been greeted by friendly hellos from security, hosts and busy servers. I had made a reservation and I was seated right away even without my other party who was a short block from the restaurant. We were given water glasses right away and our waiter immediately came over to see if I needed anything. When she sat we were given just enough time to catch up before asked what we would like to drink. Never had to wait too long for our beverages as it seemed the servers, bartenders and hosts worked in a collaborative way , ensuring a positive experience for all guests. We weren't rushed to order anything as it took some time for my friend and I to decide. Ultimately, we went with the Fried green tomato flatbread and the charred octopus. Good combination as the fried green tomato flatbread was a little on the heavier side- came with burrata and grated cheese. The charred octopus was perfect with the crispy potatoes chorizo and herb aioli. In the middle of our meal between dinner and dessert we were approached by a handsome, young man named Chris, who I assume is the manager. He asked us how everything was and made sure we were having a good time - he let us know to ask him should we need anything all. Go to Park Ave Tavern for good food, drinks and outstanding hospitality.
Great environment for a business meeting. We sat in the bar which wasn't ideal, but worked out. The food was spectacular. I had the spicy chicken sandwich and it was one of the best I've had in a long time.
By far our "go-to" lunch spot in Murray Hill. The menu is broad and offers options for everyone, and the service is always outstanding. Don't miss the spinach dip!
My food was delicious, the $5 brunch menu drinks are great. I never felt rushed, my friends were a little late and the waitress was very understanding and warm.
Love this place! Every time we come to NYC, we make sure to come here for brunch. Delicious food (especially the bacon!) and $5.00 drinks! Can't go wrong eating at Park Ave Tavern :)
Food and drinks were delicious! Met my cousin on a weeknight for dinner right after work, the place was packed, so I'm glad I was able to make a reservation. The bar area was jam-packed which overflowed to where we were sitting. It was so loud in there that I couldn't hear everything my cousin or the waiter was saying and in fact had to yell or speak really loudly for most of my conversation. I'd recommend sitting far from the bar or coming later in the evening if going for a weeknight dinner. Definitely a good find in the midtown east area!
Great Burger! Great Burger! Great Burger! Great Burger!
Had been to this restaurant once last year and thought it was great and needed an Easter brunch place in this neighborhood. well, loved it even more this time and so did our guest.
ate too much; but not the restaurant's fault. will definitely be back, especially proximity to gct.
First visit, great food, excellent service. Will be back! Lots of choices on the menu. Flatbread pizza was great, salads were huge and delicious. Great wine list.
Great halibut, hangar steaks. Our server was fantastic! Fair prices. We'll be back!
Turkey sandwich (on menu) was supermarket cold-cut fare....2 of the 3 of us had our plates removed the second we put our fork down...Squeezed 3 of us adults onto a table of four befitting teens. Request to change was greeted with a "there may be one downstairs" response....conveniently located but not worth a return trip...
Was invited to go to the Park Avenue Tavern the day before for lunch, and after having a great meal, served by a very friendly waitress... I decided to book a business lunch there.
Same great service, food, and overall atmosphere to have a business lunch. Not quiet, but not too loud whereas you can't hear one another.
They have great burgers, salads, and fries. (what I had ordered so far). Will report on more fare when I go back... which will be soon.
Definitely a "gem" in the area.
Wonderful service and great food! The Park Burger was phenomenal!! The skillet cookie with ice cream was a nice treat - not too super sweet and the perfect mix of warm, gooey, chewy and a nice thin crust - just right!!
Thursday night....downstairs was closed of to a private party. It is impossible to hear when seated anywhere near the entry way given there is no separation from the bar and restaurant. Also, have bar patrons bumping into your chair during the meal.
