We were out walking and decided to stop here for lunch. My husband had the chicken fried oyster po’boy with fries and I had their BLT with fruit. It was cold so we had coffee. Our waitperson brought us a whole pot of excellent coffee and lots of cream. The food is always good, but today we both felt like we had made inspired choices. Our waitperson was very attentive without being over attentive. This is really a great place for lunch and very few people come here. it may be all the construction going on across the street.
Very nice . We will return .
Great experience, this is one of Oklahoma's hidden gems
Excellent service!! Food was wonderful, server was very helpful! We have a gluten allergy and chef made some very good recommendations. Ambience is swank 1940s, loved it all!
The Skirvin could be a place people fight for reservations but the entrees struggle. Are they worth the surprisingly low cost? Yes. But they don’t match the beautiful ambiance of the Skirvin. The desserts were phenomenal. But my soggy fries made me sad. The food in general was just ok. I would return if I was in the neighborhood. The entire experience is luxurious, except for the food itself. Forgivable. I hope for better things in its future.
The description of the food far out does the actual food!
Ordered the Nashville hot chicken with poached egg, the poached egg came out hard-boiled. When I pointed it out to my server and then again to the floor manager I was told that I was wrong and that they serve theirs hard poached. Guess that’s why we were practically the only diners.🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ #neveragain
This kitchen needs an intervention. Careless and incompetent. So shameful that they discounted the tab 30% and added free breakfast which was equally incompetent and careless. Maybe this was a uniquely bad experience but it was really really bad.
I came in for a lunch. Parking was a drag because I had to pay. Inside of the restaurant It's very spacious and historic. The food was kinda greasy. It was okay, and still edible.
Quiet restaurant. The tables seemed unclean because of stains from glasses? The service was great, attentive, and a table touch was done by the manager. The wedge salad was huge and the dressing was really good. The filthy martini had too much vermouth and not enough olive juice. Complementary bread was appreciated and served warm. I ordered the pork chop which was overcooked, and a little tough. Dipping it in the porcini truffle butter helped and was delicious. My boyfriend ordered the steak and didn’t care for the chimichurri sauce that was underneath. Detracted from the Great cut of meat, which deserves only salt and pepper and maybe a finishing pat of butter. The sides are alacarte and a bit pricey. The Brussels sprouts were tasty and the beau had the crawfish Mac and cheese. It was good with a little kick. Overall a good restaurant but not one of the top 10 in OKC.
Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant. We provide top notch service and great food. next time your in town please stop by for dinner!
We were there for almost two hours at lunch because of service. Table stained with glass rings. Server took at least 30 minutes before she took our order, and the next wait was on. All three of us ordered the steakhouse salad.
Even if the food was 5 stars, I will would never go back because of the service. Really disappointed that the Skirvin would allow this kind of service.
Thank you for the review. I apologize you didn't receive great service for your lunch. We have great food and service. Please come back to give us another opportunity to provide outstanding service and food. Call the hotel 405-272-3040 and ask to Eddie Smith.
Service is always excellent, ambiance is kosher, food is of great taste prepared to one's expectations. My wife and I we love this place.
Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant. Our service is excellent and the ambiance is always great. Next time your in town please come back for dinner!!
Always friendly service and delicious food. The location and atmosphere are great for a business lunch.
We live in Oklahoma City but this was our first time. We truly enjoyed and will be back.
Thank you so much for reviewing our restaurant. We love to serve local guest so you can come back for another great meal in the future we appreciate your business.
Our dining experience at the Park Avenue Grill was excellent as usual. I had the salmon and my husband the Prime Rib. Both were delightful choices and we would definitely recommend.
Now, despite the 5-Star review, I can't say much for the OpenTable website and its recommendations. Because of its location to the Civic Center, our first choice for dining was the Museum Cafe. As I suspected, all of the time slots were booked and since we love Park Avenue Grill, that was our second choice. We decided to dine there and then take the short walk to the Civic Center to see the production of Hamilton. According to OpenTable the only time slot available was 5:45. I didn't want it, but took it. On our way from Norman, we phoned ahead to inform the Grill that we were running late, but would be there. We arrived at 5:55. Imagine our surprise when we were greeted by an empty dining area.
During our entire dining experience, we were the ONLY ones in the entire restaurant. A single woman showed up at 7. That was it! Why were the other time slots blocked when there clearly weren't other reservations? Where were all of the people who were supposed to be there? We enjoyed our meal and the leisurely walk to the Civic Center, but am having 2nd thoughts about ever using the OpenTable website for future bookings.

Thank you for taking the time to complete a review for Park Avenue Grill. Our dining experience is always excellent. We are glad you and your husband enjoyed your meal. Next time you go see a show please come back for a great dinner.
We were the only people in the restaurant so nothing was because they were rushed.
Scallops were wonderful
Filet was good but no seasoning.
Mushrooms rubbery and too sweet. Base was inedible. Broccolini sauce was good. Broccoli I was undercooked.
Dessert was great.
For $119 it was disappointing
Great place to have a nice meal, friendly service and to be able to have a conversation. Very comfortable!
Thank you for the review we appreciate it. Our hotel is beautiful with a great staff. Next time your in town please come stay with us your home away from home!
The restaurant was empty when we arrived! The bread was dry, the Caesar Salad had an unusual dressing and the pasta was bland. The Peanut Butter Pie was interesting with a very hard chocolate crust. The filling was the best part of the whole meal. I was surprised at the cost of the meal. Overpriced and we need to remember to put this on the list to not eat there again. Very disappointed.
Hotel and restaurant have gone downhill from a year ago when we last stayed at the property. Will not be returning.
Everything was ok but unexceptional. For the pricing I expected everything to be better.
We expected more for the location and what was presented on the menu. I believe we paid $33 for scallops and there was only three of them. By the time to rissoto came out we were all finished with the meal - and it was very al dente...
My wife and I enjoyed a St. Patrick's Day brunch at this restaurant. We were warmly greeted, seated in a flash, and thoroughly enjoyed the whole morning. We partook of the corned beef and eggs dish in honor of St. Pat and were not disappointed. The corned beef was flavorful and the Dijon Hollandaise was the perfect sauce for this dish.
The greatest thing about this venue, though, is EDGAR CRUZ serenades while you munch. Mr. Cruz is an Oklahoma Treasure. If you haven't heard him play the acoustic guitar, get here next Sunday. He plays, arranges, composes, and is simply phenomenal. I am amazed all the sound that comes from his fingers and just one guitar. We will make this a regular hang out.
Edgar Cruz was amazing. The Grill and the hotel are absolutely beautiful.
Great waitress. Great food!
Nice, quiet dinner. Certainly works for a hotel restaurant.
Atmosphere nice. Love the old hotel character of the building.
Food was all good. One of 4 entrees seemed skimpy.
Food could've been better. Waitress was awesome! The appetizers were awesome too! Steak was steak. Scallops were great. Mashed potatoes were missing some sort of extra flavor, asparagus was cooked and flavored well. Creme brulee was just ok, carrot cake tasted store bought, not fresh. But, for a hotel restaurant, its do-able. Pricey though. About $100 per person (including waiter/waitress tip), I was hoping for more.
Didn’t get our appetizer before the meal so we just cancelled it. My meal was scallops, lemon risotto and Swiss chard entree. Chose that over the scallops a la cart from the grill menu. $3 cheaper and since my hubs got a burger don’t want a large side by myself. I got 3 scallops And a bowl full of risotto. With a teaspoon of chard as a garnish. My hubs liked his. Mine was good, just seemed pretty pricey for what I got. $32 for mine. Hubs burger was $13 and was gourmet so it was worth it for sure.
We won’t avoid it, but won’t seek it out either.
We opted for what just sounded good, a strange combination of: a hamburger, lemon risotto and grilled brussel sprouts. The meal was fabulous, would definitely do it again.
The food isn’t worth the price and the service was probably the worst I’ve seen. Too many better options in OKC to visit here again.
Food was great, service was excellent and ambience was wonderful
Bailey was our waitress and she was so professional and had great suggestions on the menu. The restauraunt supervisor whose name has escaped me but started with a J was absolutely on top of everything and very pleasant. The food was outstanding as usual and we will be back. I want to also mention the bar staff because they were also wonderful and helpful. Arrica, Sterling And Sarah were fantastic and make great cocktails!
Our favorite hotel to stay at downtown because we love old world charm, and places with history, that take pride in preserving the original charm.
Glad your enjoyed your New Years Eve with us. Our food is amazing our staff goes above and beyond for our guest. Thank you for this great review please come back to visit!
Overpriced low quality food and service. Crabcake was the only item that was actually good but not worth $17
Our food and service are great. I apologize you didn't have a positive experience. Please come back to enjoy breakfast on us!
Excellent. My wife and I enjoyed a very memorable breakfast the morning of our wedding. Every aspect of the experience was first-rate, and we surely recommend the restaurant to anyone seeking an upscale, relaxing meal.
Congratulations glad you enjoyed breakfast on your big day. We love to be a part of a wedding couples memories. Thanks for the review come back to visit to create more memories.
Disappointed, we eaten there before and a lot has changed. Many empty tables, not business casual. The only other couple had on T shirts. Prime rib was over cooked, substituted with rib eye that was tough and full of gristle.
I apologize you didn't have a good experience. We would like to offer you a free night at the hotel and dinner on us. Please call the hotel and ask to speak to Eddie I will take care of you.
Older hotel service was awesome but food was forgettable
Sadly
This was by far the worst overall place to spend a holiday. We wouldn’t even come here again if it was the last place in OKC to eat and we were starving! Service was awful & the food was nasty, cold & expensive! (Average $50 per person + tip & tax!) Opentable should remove this restaurant from their service! What an embarrassment.
For the thanksgiving dinner you were offered either turkey or prime rib. Then they served all carb side dishes! - mashed potatoes, hash browns casserole, Mac & cheese & stuffing- NO gravy! They did also give us a green bean casserole that was gummy & gluey, just terrible, inedible. Couldn’t order mixed specialty cocktails either, just straight up whiskey, bourbon... and a very few selections of wine, no beer!!! Never could get an answer why. Desserts were only a tad better. Super disappointed.
So sorry you didn't enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner. The service and the food are outstanding here. Sounds like we were not at our best this day. Please come back for dinner on us. So we can provide great food and service for you!
Food and service were impeccable. Very relaxed atmosphere, not the place to go if you're in a rush. So much nostalgia to see as you walk around lobby area. Need to go to piano bar and grab an after dinner cocktail.
Thank you for taking the time to complete the review for us. We appreciate your business please come back to visit!
The restaurant was beautiful and the service was great. The food was just average and in my opinion overpriced.
The food was fantastic. I’ve never had such wonderful red snapper in my life. But the children running around the restaurant unchecked were super loud and unnecessary. Literally playing tag in the restaurant. Besides that everything else was great.
