Great location, atmosphere and decor...and the food is good. However, the service was lackluster. It took three tries to get hot coffee.
Food and drinks were amazing! The service was slow and server didn't seem to know much about the food or drinks, but I can get past that as he was probably new.
My biggest issue with the restaurant and your service in general is that making the reservation was meaningless. We got there and were told there was a problem with your service connecting to the folks at the restaurant and therefore we had a reservation. The restaurant was gracious enough to seat us within a reasonable amount of time.
Paris Bistro was quaint and quite lovely. I met my friend at the bar and just made a few mins of happy hour. We were able to have a couple of their appetizers also. The pickled like anchovies and especially the truffle fries were delicious. We also had the duck confirm and fois gras burger. The duck was slightly overcook / dry, but the burger -so delicious. I wouldn't mind having another! We will be going back Monday actually too because they have dollar oysters from 4-10pm! Great place, great food, great service. We'll definitely be returning!
I used to enjoy the food at this spot but not now (9/16/18)
I was with a group of friends for brunch. Food was fine. Service was sadly, poor. The place was not crowded at all, but our server ignored us most of the time. I will return, since I really like this restaurant.
Funtimes with my girlfriend!
Food was good. Service was OK. Neither were commensurate with cost.
Excellent food and service, parking was a challenge, and the noise level was high
We enjoyed delicious buck a shuck oysters, drinks, dinner. Pleasant atmosphere, excellent service. Onion soup, salads, chicken liver pate all exceptional.
Have been here many times . And have accommodated my gluten free needs.
Trout was pink and had to be sent back to finish cooking. Only a few pieces of roasted potatoes and stingy with green beans. However, an ample portion of fish. My friend loved her beef bourgogne, which was a special. It was a large portion. Bread was good but could have been warmed before serving. Creme brulee was good. Servers were all friendly. Overall good experience.
First time at your restaurant. My husband said your sea scallops were the best he ever had.
The Bistro continues to provide very good food and drinks, and service is excellent. One caveat: The bread is no match for the bagettes at Parc.
The issue here is always the service which can be wonderful or non-existent. The service this time was okay--people generally want to sip their drinks for more than 2 seconds before ordering food. This point didn't occur to our server, who seemed in a hurry to get us fed. Eventually, we told her to come back in 10 minutes, which so basically did. The drinks themselves were just fine but were very long in coming--and the bar and restaurant weren't busy. The hostess was a bit distracted for whatever reason, and never checked us in so I got an email from OpenTable asking why I hadn't shown up for my reservation--this issue was eventually resolved. I like the food, and the place is close to work, but as I say you can't always count on getting quality service. I go often enough to notice that the wait staff seems constantly to be changing--usually not a good sign.
Always stellar. Service is wonderful, staff very friendly, & food is delicious. Ambiance is great.
Old friends from out-of-town came to visit. We wanted a special meal with them. From cocktails through dessert the meal was outstanding. I’ve never had a poorly prepared or ill conceived menu item at the Bistro. Sauces are awesome: flavorful without being overwhelming. All entree cooked to perfection (steak to fish). And dessert!! You must have dessert. Everyone had a favorite and no one was disappointed. The almond cake alone is worth the trip here.
This is my favorite restaurant in the world. Everything about it is lovely! Food, waiters, ambiance!
Service was fast and friendly. We enjoyed our meals. Great setting for dinner.
Just an awesome spot. Chef is world class! Love new ownership and selection of Music artists.
We had been here before and enjoyed our experience. However, this time I ordered The Full French breakfast that was supposed to come with bacon. What I got was turkey bacon. When I questioned why the menu did not indicate that it was turkey bacon, the waiter told me that they had just run out of real bacon and had substituted with turkey bacon. That should have been communicated so that I could have decided if I still wanted that dish. Don't just substitute something and not tell the customer. Also, the omelette was overcooked. My sister-in-law ordered her eggs over-easy and they came cooked hard. Service was slow.
We were a party of five and arrived on time for our 1 PM brunch reservation. However, the table was not ready for our party. We had to wait while the table was cleaned and set.
We ordered soon after our arrival, and since there were empty tables, we expected our orders to be prepared in a reasonable time. Our orders arrived about 50 minutes later. I am not sure if the delay was due to a "short" kitchen staff or not enough servers (who also had to wait on outside tables).
The food was reasonable and the price was fair. We enjoyed the guitar player and his music selections.
Great food and excellent service. We were talking about the meal days after we had our experience. Very good all around restaurant!
It was fantastic
Our meal was outstanding. A very enjoyable evening. We will be back!
My wife and I enjoyed eating at the Paris Bistro, its got great charm and a beautiful location.
Fantastic, as always! We love this place, great food and cocktails - magnifique!
As usual a lovely brunch. Went with apertisers this time.
Once again we thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Paris Bistro. The service was very good and the food was delicious.
Wow. So great waitress great shared appetizer (oysters) We order two entrees for two people. Had delicious shared dessert Each had drinks. At the end of the meal.. of $140 for two people ... we were charged $6 plate sharing fee because we had shared our two entrees with each other. So two entrees two people. But each ate 1/2 of each entree. When I assumed a mistake.. the manager informed me if we share our entrees(even if both of you get a full entree) you will be charged for sharing. So that seemed a little bit much. The manager was firm. We won’t return. Dunning us for $6 was unacceptable to me
Lamb entrée was blah. Beet side dish was very good. Chocolate terrine dessert was fantastic! Beet side dish was very good. Sommelier's wine recommendation was good.
Food not worth the price. The server and manager were lovely but the food really awful.
The food was again consistently delicious, the outside seating was great and our server was informative and fun.
Service was excellent. Wait people were pleasant, polite, informative and efficient.
Wonderful food & service. Highly recommend their Sunday brunch!
We sat outside for dinner and the night was perfect. Service was very helpful. Talked me into Fois Gras burger (which I don’t eat) and it was amazing. That and truffle fries were perfect. Wife got Roast Chicken. She never orders chicken out but this was best she ever ate. Crispy outside and juicy inside. Great meal!!
I was a nice place for an special occasion we recommend this place
I have been to the Paris Bistro several times but this was a first for my friends. They loved the decor! They have traveled throughout and lived in Paris and Great Britain. They enjoyed comparing the items on the menu (and the ingredients) to similar fare in those places. We "outstayed" the rain and that was good too. We agreed to return at another time!
I’ve been here a few times. It always feels so celebratory. The food is wonderful and reasonably priced for the quality and the Chestnut Hill area. At the brunch they have a wonderful jazz guitarist who adds to the ambience!
Our server provided good input regarding entree selection and wine pairing. We shared the appetizer and dessert-right amount of food.
