We love Paris and were looking forward to an authentic French restaurant in Pittsburgh. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. The food was excellent and exactly as we remember from our trip to France and our waitress, Marie-Lise was wonderful. My daughter already said she wants to go back for her birthday this summer. This is now our favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh.

Extremely disappointing first visit to this restaurant on Valentine’s Day. The volume of reservations was clearly overwhelming for both the kitchen and waitstaff. The food was not particularly good and my entree arrived to the table cold. My dining partner said the Filet Mignon was “TV dinner style”. Portion sizes were small and the cost (more than $100/person with auto gratuity included for the Valentine’s Day menu) was exorbitant given the quality of the experience.

Place is good, food is good too but is little pricey. And there were less options as was in the online menu. If there was different menu for any special occasion, they should have updated in the website or at least in the confirmation email

The cuisine was extraordinary, but the bill was ridiculously overpriced. I've dined at some of the finest restaurants in New York City and didn't pay even half the price of Bistro 66. Their pricing needs a serious reality check.

Food and service were amazingly good, but take out a loan before you make a reservation here.

Now that we are retired, we have come to the conclusion that a Valentine’s Day lunch in a favorite restaurant is preferable to a Valentine’s Day dinner. We don’t miss the crowds, the wait times or the higher prices in the evening. We booked a late lunch at Paris 66 and took along 2 friends and a favorite bottle of wine - for a reasonable $15 corkage fee. The food was fabulous. Rave reviews for the fois gras, the buckwheat crepes, a silky butternut squash soup and divine smoked salmon and goat cheese quiche. The beautiful Marie-Lise is a knowledgeable and welcoming server. And the whole experience is almost as good as a quick trip to a Paris cafe. We all decided that Valentine’s Day lunch at Paris 66 is a tradition worth continuing!

Food was excellent. Ambience and decor were nice, though nothing special. Service was very good. But the food was way overpriced. A Valentines date for two should not cost $300! Definitely having buyers regret on this one.

This is kind of a traditional French restaurant and it is very different from fancy French cuisine, which means it's not suitable for everyone. I would recommend the mussels, but would not recommend the roast duck and the duck liver. The liver is kind of sour and weird and the duck is plain.

Enjoyable dining experience overall. Nice wine recommendation from Semmolier. Prices are higher than typical higher end Pgh restaurants but the uniquely French kitchen justifies this.

This past Sunday we went for lunch Paris 66 about 1:30. It is a quaint little place that was close to capacity. We were seated on the back porch and the waiter took our order right away. I went to wash my hands in the men’s room and when I got back to the table my hands had the worst odor from the liquid soap in the men’s room. The smell was so bad it put me off when my dish finally arrived. The foul smell remained with me through five hand washings. So, proprietor please change brands of hand soap! I had a buckwheat crepe’ with ham, two cheeses and a fried egg. Very delicious as was my wife’s choice. The only other problem was it took a full 40 minutes from the time we ordered until our food arrived. Having some French baguette would have help us get through the long wait so maybe that is our fault for not ordering it. Ok, we were there at the end of lunch rush and should have expected a long wait; however, I did see people who arrived after us being served before us by 10 to 15 minutes. Bottom line? Good food bad service!

We were seated on the covered rear dining area which in summer is open air but in winter is well heated and most comfortable. Our food was great as always. The onion soup is delicious.

Loved the food, authentic French. I didn’t give it 5 stars, because we got quite cold at the corner table on the porch despite the space heaters.

Great ambiance, salmon and escargot apps were outstanding. Choc mousse was delicious, crepe was soggy but still good. Boeuf bourguignon had a musty flavor, rabbit was bland, mustard lacked sharpness. Good service.

The food was pretty good, but not outstanding, and reasonably authentic French. We have been there a number of times over the past few years, but went this time for Restaurant Week. We had the fixed priced menu, which was fine. Service can be very spotty depending on how busy they are at that time. It does have a very nice weekend brunch and lunch that are not too expensive.

Great meal, thank you. Timely as well. Wine list a bit pricey based on wholesale cost on the wines being sold. We did not speak French upon arrival and were seated on outdoor patio deck on a very cold night in January although it was heated but still cold as they use area heaters. We noticed almost everyone inside spoke French so when we asked in French if we could sit inside, it was not a problem and did notice everyone in the main dining room as guests spoke French. So, be advised that if you do not speak French, they tend to segregate here but no surprise really as the French are known to show preference to their own. Just demand where you want to sit and if you don't get it, there are other dining options in this neighborhood. Plan to go big when dining here, I would budget around $100 per person minimum with wine and food. The food is excellent though, you won't be disappointed for a true French cuisine experience.

My husband and I have been to Paris 66 several times and it never disappoints. This time it was New Years Eve and the dinner and wine pairing was exceptional. Service was outstanding and the atmosphere was perfect - festive but quiet enough to enjoy conversation. Lamb Wellington and filet were prepared just right. The four season patio was a bit chilly on our feet, but all in a wonderful evening.

Wonderful, welcoming staff. Paris 66 reminds us of a cozy restaurant you would find in Europe.
Cocktails were perfectly prepared and a great start to our brunch. Every course of our meal was delicious, and served enthusiastically by our waiter.
So many great choices on the menu- we will return again soon!

We had the Christmas Eve prix fixe meal. Everything was very good, but slightly below expectations...as if the meals were slanted to make some year end money on a holiday special. Service was very good...not rushed. It was a romantic dinner for two and the ambience was very nice, subdued, with a good holiday vibe. The drink menus/options were exceptional. However, the three main dish options seemed basic (understandably for prix fixe), and execution was just bit subpar for what we would expect. That said, the desserts were great. Overall, we were very pleased. Tantalized...infatuated perhaps....but not fully seduced.
