Valentine's Day Special Menus & More
Paris 66 has a very special menu for Valentine's Day.
The menu was limited. Well, it is Covid and all. Not sure how it compares to non-covid times as this was my first visit.
It was great!
Paris 66 is one of my favorites in our neighborhood. As far as I know the only place where one can order Escargo. they did an excellent job accommodating us even though my colleague was a bit grumpy.
We went for New Year’s eve and the food was subpar and it was very overpriced for what we received.
Disappointing experience. Server was fine but food took ages(45 minutes) and arrived lukewarm. “Entrees” do not come with anything else making for miserable presentation as well as an unpleasant upcharge for a few beans or potatoes. Feels like a cash grab. Limited wines by the glass too. Would not return.
Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in town. It feels like a quick little trip to Paris! The food is divine and the atmosphere reminds you of a cozy little café that should be near the Eiffel Tower 🇫🇷🥖 not in Pittsburgh! Magnifique!
I was not impressed, the menu was lacking. The sides were bland. The only bright light was the French onion soup was served piping hot!!
Not a very nice review during Covid... Our menu has been scaled down because of the situation we are all in. We still have many options with Duck confit, Filet mignon, Steak tartare, Trout, Choucroute garnie, Steak salad, Goat cheese salad, Foie gras, Lamd Shank, Calf liver, Escargots, 3 kinds of mussels, beautiful French Green Beans, House made French fries, Gratin Dauphinois, etc... What else would you like??
We had the trout and the liver as entrees. Both dishes were prepared very well, great taste, texture and presentation.
Had to come back to this place for a special date with my wife. We love this place, and the food was superb. This is really where you want to go in Pittsburgh for the real French flavor... you will not be dissapointed!
We expect to come here more often, count with our business!
perfect brunch spot. Distinctive and exclusive menu.
Amazing food, expertly served, in a pleasant setting! Best meal of the year.
Sorry we could not have foie gras or crepes Gazette. All else was excellent
My husband and I had a wonderful meal. We were seated on the patio and there were several heaters there. The staff were very conscious as to protect the diners from Covid, wearing masks etc. the food was wonderful, the wine was great and the owner was very gracious. We will go back again and again.
The food was phenomenal! In fact, it exceeded my expectations. I had the trout and my date had the filet mignon. By far the best steak I, or my fiancee, have ever had. The trout was delicious as well, seemingly melting in my mouth. The service was outstanding, leaving my fiancee and myself impressed. The ambiance was spot on for a french bistro feel. The tableside crepe service was something special that really made the evening. Great place for a date, when you want somewhere that will feel special, while being affordable and comfortable.
Great French meal. Amazing escargot. Macaron are to die for.
The Paris 66 staff was extremely courteous and efficient; the atmosphere was warm and enjoyable for an anniversary Sunday Brunch. Of course, the French cuisine (from beverages to the entre' to a divine Crepe Suzette) exceeded expectations, as usual!
Owner/Host, Frederic, and our server, Alex, went out of their way to ensure that the meal (and the celebration) were unforgettable! Please plan a Paris 66 visit soon!

To want to be a thing and to be a thing are different. Paris 66 wants to provide a quality introduction to French food and culture. It succeeds. The waitstaff is helpful and friendly. I had a great time.
As close to Paris as you can get in Pittsburgh - perfectly charming atmosphere and delicious food.
Excellent traditional French bistro fare, limited but excellent winelist. French owner made the crepes suzette tableside with infinite gallantry!
Absolutely love this restaurant, we’ve been a returning customer for two years now. Was super excited they reopened and the food was excellent as always. The Roquefort mussels are a must
Had to cancel our Paris trip due to Covid... this was perfect!
I really feel for restaurants with the pandemic going on, it's tough right now. That being said my trip here made me decide to hold off on the fine dining until things normalize.
In short:
half sized menu - ok
Out of mussels at 7pm on a Saturday with a half menu? - not ok
Half sized bread order? - not ok
45$ instead of 35$ lamb shank dish? - that's ok, I understand.
That lamb dish served with a *small* handful of ..fries? With a sauce that is no longer cooked with wine? - very not ok.
Macarons? - still good
All entrees served with a small handful of fries? - not ok.
In summary: get the ready made lamb shank at Costco. It tastes just as good, and with a couple baked potatoes you have a better meal than what we were served for 35$ instead of the $200 that we spent on dinner.
I love this restaurant, but pandemic or no I'm not spending 200$ for a dinner I can cook myself at home for 25% of the price. I am sorry. Definite decrease in quality.
Wonderful dimming experience. Excellent french food well prepared. Onion soup is the best in the city.
Nice ambiance, food was delicious. It's a perfect spot for a nice brunch date.
It’s great to see it open again. Staff was cautious in light of COVID. I had onion soup, rainbow trout and creme brûlée.
It was outstanding!
Awful, rushed, poor service. We had reservations, and upon seating, we were informed that "the kitchen closes in 7 minutes" - as if we were at iHOP. We quickly ordered, along with a bottle of champagne. I asked for red wine with the entree, as we ordered red meat. The server said he disagreed with me about my wine order! It seems he didn't want to place the order with the bar. Our entrees came out as proteins in mediocre sauces with - I kid you not - quick-frozen concession stand-quality french fries as the accompaniment! Mushroom cream sauce was gelatinous, the demi-glace was greasy. Server denied espresso to another table ("we don't have that"), so I asked for it as well. Lo-and-behold, with my raised eyebrows at his denial of espresso, one was produced (MAGIC). I cannot believe I spent $200 on this pathetic excuse of a dining experience. To contextualize, I have 10+ yrs working in and teaching fine dining - I know a thing or two. I'm no angry Karen, but this truly sucked.
I am sorry you feel this way about your dining experience. As a trained Chef, you must know the challenges, particularly during this difficult time that restaurants are collectively facing.I am the owner and I was there.I wish you had asked to speak to a Manager/Owner and had given me the opportunity to address your experience.I would have told you that yes, we have espresso and our French fries are freshly cut in house daily. By the way, the server you had is no longer working for me. Thank you
Wonderful experience. The service was exceptional and the food was outstanding. French onion soup was the best I ever had. The lamb was tender and delicious and the filet was cooked perfectly. Desserts were very good.
We had the filet and the liver. Both were excellent in taste, texture and presentation. Our sever Sa.. did a very nice job and was quite attentive. everything about our dinner was great.
Still my favorite Pittsburgh restaurant. It is expensive but always perfect!
It was so nice to go out to a dinner date again and being on the deck at Paris 66 did not disappoint. Having just reopened there were a few service glitches, but the food was excellent. We shared mussels, and our entrees of filet mignon with mushroom sauce and trout were cooked to perfection. Very flavorful and perfect, as was the ratatouille side. Chocolate mousse and espresso topped off the evening. Great champagne and wine (Bourgogne) added to the festive date night!
The food was excellent - the service was very slow, but they were grossly understaffed for the amount of activity of the place. It took a very long time (15 minutes) to put our initial drink order in due to the ONE very knowledgeable but exhausted server. The food was incredible. The chef created delicious French fare!
Great service. Food was good. Was disappointed that my medium rare filet mignon came out well done—a hint of pink center—and was told “that’s the way the Chef prepares it”.
The waiter was extremely rude to us. He slammed objects down whenever we’d ask him for basic things like “could we have sparkling water? Could we see a desert menu?”
I had an extremely uncomfortable experience here.
I do not think this happened to you
We had a lovely time, as usual. My wife and I both had the Trout Meuniere. The healthy portion and the accompanying cauliflower were done perfectly. Marylise and Renault never fail to provide amazing and personal service. They are are real treat!!
With so many wonderful options for a main course we had great fun discussing our choices and then sharing a small taste of everyone’s selections. The service is always excellent we were celebrating a birthday and the small cake with a sparkler was a great touch.
it's been a few years since we've dined here but the quality has diminished . the waitress brought our drinks took our order but then we didn't see her for 25 minutes when she brought us a basket of bread. ( the first one is free the next is for added cost)we didn't have bread plates so we had to hold it or put it on the table. after being seated for 45 minutes our appetizers finally arrived .another 20 minutes until our entrees arrived but they were not hot . there were four of us . 1 got mussels . they were delicious and a good value. one got a buckwheat crepe . it was was bland with little garnish . not worth the price . another entree was the salmon . very small portion with four little asparagus hardly any sauce . over priced . I had the duck . good portion could of used more sauce . there's so many better places to dine in Pittsburgh for a better value.
Wonderful and reminiscent of Paris!
The service was a pleasure.
The duck breast was excellent.
The accompanying vegetables were beautifully seasoned.
The haricots verts were perfect.
The crepes framboises and ice cream were lovely.
Sitting beside the plastic sheet in freezing weather was no fun.
Very good food! I loved the crepes and the fries were the best I’ve ever had! A little pricey especially the spring water but all and all I’d return back!
Terrific attentive service. However, the Vesper martini, beautifully prepared shaken not stirred was served in a warmed martini coupe. The seared pork belly was overcooked to death...to the level of a dog chew toy.
