THE MOST HORRIBLE PLACE I HAVE EVER VISITED! I asked for croque madam and indicated no ham because I am a vegetarian, the waitress rolled her eyes at me with a nasty look so at the end of the meal I didn’t leave her a tip. When I was out AND ON THE STREET her co worker came after me and said: you didn’t leave her a tip!! OMFG! Are you serious?? Tip is an option for good service not mandatory! I said- the service was not good so he screamed at me: DONT COME HERE ANYMORE! I was so shocked! Who does something like that? Force a customer to leave a tip and scream at them in the middle of the street??
So now you ALL know before you go to this awful place: if you don’t leave a tip, you will be chased and screamed at.
Another great Sunday brunch at Paris 66. We love sitting in the back patio drinking Mimosas and catching up with our son. The Tomato Provence omelet of the day was excellent with the accompanying salad. Our favorite way to complete rate experience is a plate of macaroons. The staff is very welcoming and very focused on customer service.
My lovely wife and I was engaged in Paris after dinner and before desert at the Eiffel Tower restaurant 58 Tour Eiffel and so a Valentines Day dinner at a restaurant with fine French cuisine and atmosphere was a perfect start. The lamb was cooked perfectly, the scallop appetizer was outstanding, and the French Martinis were perfect for my wife who is not a martini person. It was a lovely evening. Bring your wallet and smile - you get what you pay for. Jim & Pam (not from The Office)
the food and service was outstanding. this was our first time at this restuarant. we will go back and try
the regular menu.
We went for Valentine's Day and the fixe prix dinner, which I thought was rather expensive, especially since the food was good, but not outstanding. I have eaten here before, so this was disappointing. The tables were too close to each other for a romantic dinner.
Had the Valentine’s Day menu. Food was very delicious but not for the price. Twisted Frenchman is much better and a better dining experience. I would like to come back and try brunch or stop by for a coffee and pastry though.
This has become one of my favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh. My date used to live in Paris and she speaks French. She was over the moon with the entire dining experience. We look forward to our next visit.
What a perfect place place to spend Valentines Day! The table had three perfect roses and two perfect Macarons in a bag to take home when we sat down...it was beautiful in the restaurant and the food lived up to beauty...foie gras on toast to start, a filet and frites - perfection but really the best thing on the plate was the haricots vert...and the gorgeous Gaby and Jules plump heart pastry with champagne...perfection! I love Paris 66 and have always had a good meal, but this was really special...oh and the wine pairings, also a treat!
Finally found a restaurant that truly has great service, great food prepared with care and gives you the time to enjoy it along with your guests.
We enjoyed a lovely date night, excellent food, charming staff provided excellent service.
Our food took an hour and 45 minutes to come, several parties left during that time. The waiter would come only every 40 minutes or so. This was on a Wednesday evening, not a particularly busy time. Would certainly not go back.
It gives me absolutely no pleasure to post this review. I had high expectations based upon all of the glowing reviews and a very pleasant lunch some years ago. I chose Paris 66 for my husband’s 60th birthday because creme brûlée is his favorite and I liked the restaurant’s self-description: an Intimate French bistro, serving everyday French cuisine. We were a party of five.
Our server did not write any of our order down and then proceeded to bring us incorrect items. Service was uneven and slow. The bill, which was exorbitant, included an 18% gratuity. Not at all what I would expect from “everyday French cuisine”. Our meal took three full hours. The food was okay, the cocktails just okay. I wanted so much to like this place on a cold, sleety night, but came away largely disappointed.
Very nice, authentic French-American brunch of eggs benedict and sausage and truffle omelette with pomme frittes and machiatos! Sitting in the heated/enclosed patio on a rainy day with a French-speaking waitstaff really made me feel like I was in Paris ☺️
Great dining as always! The food was great and we always enjoy going here.
Still our most loved restaurant in Pittsburgh! Always happy to return and bring friends.
From start to finish our experience was top notch- from the service to the food; to the overall feel of the restaurant. We will definitely be returning!!
It was a delightful experience for my birthday. All meals were tasty, we went for Brunch. A tad bit pricey was my only complaint.
This restaurant never fails!!! Staff is friendly and helpful....they even tolerate my bad French! The food is esquisite….just like we get in Paris. It's a great place to relax over drinks and great food with family and friends.
Server was very nice and the food was good. Felt way over priced though. Had a great meal but was left with a bad impression paying the bill at the end.
I would highly recommend Paris 66 for anyone in the mood for excellent French food and great service in a romantic, quiet setting in Pittsburgh. Simply outstanding.
Paris 66 was a complete disappointment. I ordered a steak salad without the Roquefort cheese because aged cheeses give me migraines. When my salad came, there were bits of Roquefort all throughout the salad. Apparently, the chef must have looked at the order after he had already made the salad and instead of remaking it, he just tried to pick out the large pieces of cheese. From the first bite, I could taste the cheese on the steak and on the salad. I nicely explained to my server that I needed a replacement. She took the salad and came back less than 2 minutes later. Obviously , the chef put down new greens and “wiped off” the same steak and put it back on top. It still tastes of the Roquefort. I was with a large group so I didn’t want to make a fuss so I ate it. Sure enough, when I got home I had a grueling migraine. This is beyond unacceptable behavior from a restaurant. I WILL NEVER eat at Paris 66 again. Mistakes can happen, of course, but when you know you’ve made a mistake to try to trick a customer with an allergy is beyond inexcusable!!!!!!!
Solid, delicious French fare, excellent service in a comfortable setting—welcoming, nice, not stuffy. Expensive entrees ($30+) make it more of a special occasion destination rather than an impromptu night out, but definitely worth the treat.
Paris 66 is a local favorite of ours. The waitstaff knows our drink preferences! On Sunday, the food and service was great as usual. There seemed to be a delay in the food preparation which was unusual. Normally the restaurant is a quiet place to enjoy the fine food but on Sunday, a group of folks appeared to be enjoying the cocktails to excess and were a little too loud for our taste. Overall a great restaurant with wonderful food and service.
Sunday brunch at Paris 66 has become the favorite for our family. We enjoyed another wonderful brunch this week catching up over Mimosas. The Croque Madame was a beautiful presentation and delicious. We also enjoyed the Quiche Lorraine and Salmon Benedict. The macaroons were a perfect finish. The hostess and wait staff at Paris 66 are welcoming, gracious and ensure that everything is to your liking.
We always enjoy our time here. The food is excellent as well as the service. The waiters and waitresses are french and I could listen to their accents all day. It is truly a wonderful experience and brings you to another world.
Food was tasty. However the Beef Bourgeon was cool and had to be sent back only to come out Luke warm. I will be back
The service was actually very good but I took away a star because it was extremely slow. It took and hour and 45 minutes for restaurant week lunch. I don’t know if this is just the way they operate but it seemed quite slow. Food was wonderful and it truly feels like you’re dining in a little Parisian bistro.
Great service and great atmosphere
A delightful french bistro. Food was delicious and well prepared.
Terrific choice for restaurant week - Prix Fixe 3 course meal was delicious, portioned well and the service and ambiance was perfect
Great first impression — highly recommend.
We had decided on a prix fixe menu before we arrived, which I only regret because it was evident the service staff was quite knowledgeable and we would have enjoyed recommendations. The three courses we did enjoy were a perfect largo tempo for our leisurely evening.
The wine list accommodates a healthy selection of by the bottle wines and very approachable by the glass offerings. Apertif and digestif were also available. Based on how overly satisfied we were after the meal, perhaps we should have taken advantage of those as well. Overall it was an experience of affordable fine dining in a comfortable atmosphere.
The interior furnishings and decor were modest and the atmosphere was comfortable. Our server, Renauld, was astute to our needs and playful with us, which as young diners made us even more endeared to our experience.
This would be an ideal first date: informal environment with all of the steps of service that make you feel well taken care of and a menu prompts great talking points and leads a little adventure for the average diner.
• Wine List
• Escargot Bourguignon + Smoked Salmon Rillettes
• Bouillabaisse + Coq au Vin
• Crêpe + Eclair
I forgot to get a Gaby et Jules macaroon before leaving and I’m devastated. Don’t make the same mistake I did.
Impeccable service. The sole was a bit on the bland side but everything else we ordered was perfect. We shared the moules frites as a starter and my partner thoroughly enjoyed the calf liver as his entree.
As always, the Macarons don’t disappoint. We will definitely be back!
Service food atmosphere were perfect, I had noted that this was a retirement occasion, and they did not acknowledge it, but all in all we enjoyed our lunch and will be going back
Ooh La La, folks! This is as close as you'll get to the real thing. In a lovely, intimate setting, beautifully prepared food, exquisite service. Having been to France recently, it's great to have a slice of Parisian life here in Pittsburgh!
While the food was "ok," it was not outstanding. A lobster soup tasted watery rather than richly flavorful and briny, with the potatoes seeming a bit waterlogged. Perhaps held for too many days? A cassoulet had terrific flavor, with the beans perfectly cooked and creamy, but the duck was a bit past crispy, bordering on dried out, and the garlic sausage held little flavor. Lovely bistro atmosphere and friendly staff.
VERY disappointed. 3 of the 4 of us had the Beef Bourguignon and it was extremely fatty. I could only eat about 1/3 of mine, the rest was fat. When I told the waitress, she said she would notify the chef - no trying to make it right, no apology, just that she would notify the chef. We have been there before and liked the place, but not sure if we will return after that experience.
Wonderful dinner. Enjoyed the enclosed patio with heaters.
Fantastic as always. Reynaud and Marilese make you feel as though you’ve escaped to France. Great food and wine.
Paris 66 reliably turns out well-prepared classic dishes. First-rate ingredients, carefully and correctly cooked, appealing presentation. Service was attentive without doting. Good wine list but carafe of house wine perfectly acceptable. Look forward to our next visit.
