First time there. I am sorry we did not know about this place sooner. Was impressed with the entire experience. Will go back and will recommend to others.
This place will give you a feeling of eating food in Paris, but your wallet will disagree. We had a 3 course meal and about two drinks each for about $140. When my wife and I eat in Paris, we usually pay about 30 to 50 euros for a 3 course meal each, with drinks. So one can see how overpriced the food is here. However, it is all about supply and demand, and the demand is high with a low supply of French restaurants. Regardless, my wife and I will continue to dine here, we just wish that food was more affordable like it is in Paris, France.
We visited Paris 66 for the first time during Restaurant Week. It seems that was a mistake. We ordered from the limited choices (2) on the Restaurant Week menu (we were a party of 4). Service was slow. All of us had chosen the salad, which was quite good ( mixed greens with warm chevre coated croutons and a pleasant, light dressing). The rest of the meal was disappointing. Three of our party had ordered the steak frites. The steaks were ordered rare or medium rare, but arrived well done - and not tasty - although the frites were OK. I ordered the scallops with linguine - not good - three rather tasteless scallops on a large bowl of rather soft pasta with a minimal amount of some kind of tomato based sauce with little flavor. Desserts were adequate, but certainly not special. Three of us had the Clafouti aux cerises, which was a refrigerated square with black cherries, hardly what I would call a tart. I think Paris 66 was not prepared to do Restaurant Week well. I'm guessing their regular menu may be better, but their prices seemed higher than was reflected in the quality we experienced.
Excellent food and excellent service
Delicious food in a warm and welcoming environment
Paris 66 is the best French restaurant in Pittsburgh. Probably Pennsylvania. I have been to Paris, and the vibe is so reminiscent of that beautiful city.
Sit on the patio if possible. Delicious food, great service. A bit pricey.
Après plusieurs années, le Bistro Paris 66 reste notre coin préféré pour la cuisine française à Pittsburgh. C'est devenu une tradition familiale, surtout comme ce resto est le seul de cette catégorie qui ouvre pour les heures du déjeuner.
Food was wonderful!
Magnificent meal! Excellent service, beautiful, delicious food. Wholeheartedly recommended!
My friend had the Croque Monsier, which was delicious. I had the salad Nicosia. The tuna was not properly seared and not well spiced. Service was charming. In general, we have been very happy with the food at Paris 66.

Very European feel, which we really liked. One of the main courses wasn't quite right, so they made another one and then comped two desserts.
My monkfish entrée was well prepared and flavorful. My partner's pork tenderloin was seriously overcooked. It was dried out and barely edible.
used to be one of our favorites
We went to Paris 66 for my daughter’s birthday. She had been there before and wanted to go again. The food was great and dessert too. We were there at an early dinner hour so we had the place nearly to ourselves. Food, service and atmosphere were great. I thought it was overpriced for dessert but the macarons were out of this world great! The staff even put a speaker candle in my daughter’s dessert with out me asking bc when I reserved our table I added it was her bday! Many thanks.
Good. Not great. Last night's dinner was a destination dinner for us and I don't think I'd take the drive again to go just to this restaurant. The seafood was good but overcooked and dry, as were the side dishes. If I'm in the strip, I'd stop again and try the sushi, but I won't suggest the restaurant as a meeting spot for those coming from the burbs to eat downtown.
Great place for a Sunday brunch! We had the quiche and omelet followed by a wonderful crepe. Delicious!
The food and service were both excellent as judged by all four members of my party. One complaint: The day we ate there, the heat index was 100 degrees F. I was a somewhat miffed when the only table available was outside, especially considering that I had made reservations 2 weeks in advance. I would have thought my reservation would have held a table inside, but no.
Good food, good service. We all enjoyed our meals and delicious desserts!!
What a fantastic night. EXCELLENT service, EXCELLENT food and friendly people. First trip to Pittsburgh and our experience at this restaurant made us want to move here. Our waitress, Marie-Lise, went overboard to make our evening. She guided us through the menu helping us make the perfect food selections. She even was kind enough to help us with an Uber ( our cellphones were left in Alabama)! Will not disappoint!
Waiter was too busy to attend to our group of six, although we had made a reservation well in advance of the evening.
The coq a vin was smothered in a sauce that was quite disappointing. Two of us had ordered the dish and will never do so again
There were not that many people at the restaurant when we were there on a Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. We were there until about 8:00 p.m. I wanted to get a half pound of mussels, as my husband does not eat them. That was not possible. I had duck; he had the chicken. The duck was great; he found the chicken to be a bit sour. The onion soup was terrific! Bread was fantastic, as was dessert. I would definitely go back and try other things. The server was very charasmatic. The service was a bit slow, however and not as attentive as I would have thought with not many people in the room.
We chose this restaurant for our 25th Anniversary. We had never been to a French Restaurant before, and Renaud, our server, was incredibly helpful in teaching us about the cuisine and helping us to choose what we would enjoy, based on our taste preferences. Beautiful, quaint restaurant with a very nice outdoor space. The Filet Mignon de Porc aux Pruneaux was delicious and the Sea Bass (special of the day) was incredible! I am definitely a fan of this restaurant after this experience!
Celebrate Bastille Day in an authentic environment
We were in Pittsburgh for a handball tourney and decided to try Paris 66 for an early Bastille Day celebration. We were very pleased with the service the cuisine and the atmosphere, which made us feel like we were in a Paris bistro.
this is one of our favorite places. The food and service are always top notch and the attention to detail is always superb. Marie-Lise is one of the best front of house people we have ever seen.
Great brunch spot. Their salmon eggs Benedict is delicious. Their sweet crepes are very good, although a bit pricier than other creperies in Pittsburgh. The service was very good and I thought our waiter did a great job.
Always the right choice. Service and food welcoming.
A very enjoyable lunch for the four of us including an out of town guest. As usual, the service was great with the waitress remembering our favorite beverages and entrees. Leave room for dessert!
My first visit to Paris 66 won't be my last. I had dinner when I was staying at a hotel in the neighborhood and was knocked out. Food, service and the overall vibe were all awesome. Looking forward to sampling more of the menu soon.
As close to actually dining in France as I have experienced in Pittsburgh.
We love Paris 66. The ambiance is great and the food id delicious. Excellent menu and beautiful presentation. Staff are friendly.
Enjoyed all, especially polite and helpful service.
Fantastic service and really interesting and fun waiters.
Another wonder dinner with excellent service! Great wine list. Romantic atmosphere. We will be back!
Haven’t been back for awhile, but definitely enjoy sitting in the patio. enjoy the food and wine.
It is worth coming at least once, it's not bad, but we expected better taste and flavors from the French restaurant. The ambiance is pleasant enough, we liked the covered balcony sitting.
Always wonderful. Paris 66 is our haven. Pleasant, quiet, beautiful with wonderful service and fantastic food!
