French onion was very good
Great food and atmosphere! We absolutely loved the Roquefort Mussels. Best mussels we ever had. Escargot was very good!
Best escargot I have ever had. Staff and Owner were very attentive and authentic! Will definitely go back.
Merci beaucoup! I really enjoy reading this kind of review. You are the best!
The food was great! The staff were very friendly, and very attended to my needs. Atmosphere was wonderful..
It makes us so happy to read such a very nice review like yours, thank you so very much!
Everything was perfectly delightful. Started with the mussels, as a special for the day. I had the filet and it was cooked medium rare with a delicious berlaise sauce
Merci beaucoup! It makes us feel great to read reviews like yours!
What a gem of a place! The moment you walk in, you immediately transform into Paris. Everything was beyond great - the food, the wine, and the service were exceptional. Cannot stop thinking about when I'll get to go back to try more of their food items and awesome service. Truly recommend it for any foodie out there.
Incredible review, merci beaucoup!
I celebrated my birthday with my lady friend who never experience French cuisine. We had a fabulous dining experience. The cooking staff even altered the meal to accommodate my friend’s lactose intolerance. We had a great time.
Thank you for your review
Terrible meal that was vastly overpriced. Will never eat there again.
Craig, come on, this is the exact same review that you have been posting in different sites. What are you trying to do in the middle of Covid? Can't you see that you are alone? Everyone else loves Paris 66.
We were in the restaurant for their special Christmas Eve four course dinner, and it was amazing! My duck confit with apricots was done perfectly and my wife loved the lamb shank. The cellar has some fantastic choices and we enjoyed a lovely Pomerol with dinner. All in all it was a wonderful and special way to celebrate the holiday.
Thank you so very much for your beautiful review. It makes me so happy to see that you have spent a very special Christmas Eve with us. I was there too with my family. I remember going to your table to welcome you. Happy Holidays!
We were promptly seated. Service was excellent: prompt; unobtrusive; attentive. A fresh oyster floating atop a delicately flavored asparagus mousse was a compelling combination for a lovely starter. For my second course the veal cheek terrine was rustic loveliness but could have used a crunchy, sourish complement of cornichons or pickled onions rather than a few dots of (to me) unidentifiable sauces that were more color garnish on the plate rather than an integral part of the overall composition. My husbands loves escargot and while his dish did not disappoint, he felt the sauce was more parsley than garlic, when his preference is for the opposite, although he did sop up every bit of the sauce with his bread! My lamb shank entree was fabulous: humble home cooking meets haute cuisine! The meat was rich and luscious, laid atop a delicious parsnip purée, and adorned with a delectable sauce. Hub had the scallops and they were perfectly cooked and tender, but overall a very subtle dish; he wished he had ordered the shank. We both opted for the burnt orange crème brûlée which was a match made in heaven - at once homey and elegant; creamy softness topped with a citrusy crunch. A delightful dinner overall, which we have come to expect from Paris 66!
Thank you so very much for your beautiful review! Merci beaucoup!
I've gone to Paris 66 for New Year's Eve with my son for about 10 years in a row. It is always outstanding and the New Year's Eve meal yesterday did not disappoint. The choices of appetizers, second and main courses were very good. The Crème Brûlée dessert was excellent.
Merci beaucoup! Thank you so very much for your beautiful review!
This was the first time for me at Paris 66, but we were celebrating my daughter’s engagement and it was Christmas Eve- so she and her fiancée wanted to come as it was their special restaurant. I must say that the ambiance of a small cafe in France was immediate, and the service was impeccable. They had a special menu for dinner and it did not disappoint!!! The food was as beautiful as it was delicious, and the service was so well paced that it actually enhanced our experience! I cannot think of a better place in Pittsburgh to celebrate a special occasion, or even just a quiet dinner. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience and memories Paris 66! We will be back soon!
Thank you so very much for coming to Paris 66 and thank you very much for your beautiful review. Merci, merci!
The food is always outstanding and the service was wonderful!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! I am happy that you were happy!
Dinner was amazing! My friends and I picked this place for my birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. Our server, Ben, made the night even more enjoyable with his charisma and wonderful service! Will definitely be returning.
Thank you so much for your beautiful review! See you soon at Paris 66. Merci!
You walk in and it is very welcoming and cozy. We were very excited to eat here after having popped in a couple years ago for macaroons. However the food was just mediocre. I was really disappointed in the “roasted beet salad “ which was actually pickled beets. That, paired with the acidic vinaigrette was all over too sour and bitter. Roasted warm beets would have actually added that sweet that your palette desires. The fois gras was good, the mussels were of good quality but lacked depth in flavor in the broth. The lamb was ok, tender but again, lacking flavor and the carrots had a very off taste, whatever spice they used.
I’d find another restaurant to go to. After reading other reviews I think there are better French restaurants in the area to choose over this one.
Erin, You already put a bad review today on Yelp and I answered you. I told you that I was French, born in Paris and that all my recipes are from my family. Please, don't make a fool out of yourself. You said you went to France once for two weeks and you think you became a food critic overnight? Please, don't insist so much to be mean in the middle of the Holidays. Look around, you are the only one that seems not to be happy. This is Christmas time, try to smile a little bit. Au revoir!
What more to say — we had spectacular service and a delicious meal. Filet mignon was incredible, duck breast was somehow even better. We went out to celebrate our anniversary, and Melanie provided top-notch service and went out of her way to make it special for us. The end of dinner macarons with the sparkler was a great surprise to us both. Just all around a wonderful experience!
Thank you so much for your beautiful review! I am happy to have made you happy. It makes me so happy to see so many patrons loving my restaurant. Happy anniversary and happy Holidays to you and your family. Again, thank you and see you soon.
The food was delicious, as always, and our server was very friendly and helpful. Service was reasonable, considering that it was busy and they were a little short-staffed. We weren’t in a hurry. The food was pricey, but worth it, in my opinion.
Thank you very much for your very nice review! Happy Holidays!
French cuisine, ambience and savoir faire at its best! Bon appetit!
our waiter was incredible and they made our experience for what we were celebrating so much fun and very enjoyable
Thank you very much for your review!
Restaurant has a wonderful French ambience.
Service was professional and food delicious.
Thank you so much for your great review!
Flavor of food is not very good. Mussels were over cooked. Overall, over priced for quality of food.
From when we walked in the door we were greeted by the owner who was so nice and welcoming. The wait staff was wonderful and nice and our waitress gave the best wine recommendations. The sauce for the filet is amazing and the chicken dish was great! The duck leg confit was so good, just wish I had more of the amazing cherry glaze on it. The escargot was very tasty. It was my first experience with snail and it did not disappoint, a must try for anyone. The escargot doesn’t have much of a taste itself, it tastes like whatever you season it with and sort of has the texture of a button mushroom. Very good! I would love to go back again!
Thank you so very much for your very nice review!
Experienced the Beaujolais celebration on Saturday night! Ils ont fourni un effort absolument remarquable! ❤️
Kudos to the folks at Paris 66 for a safe and delicious experience.
The food was excellent- we ordered the trout, the duck, and the liver entrees and everyone was extremely pleased.
The mousse was excellent and the creme brûlée was pretty good- just a bit soggy and it didn’t have the most satisfying crack.
The server was unobtrusive and helpful, although it would have been nice if water were offered mor frequently
Thank you for your review
I can not recall being served a piece of meat in a huge plate with absolutely nothing around in any kind of restaurants. This was the case in Paris 66 and it was quite shocking and disappointing . In no case, does it represent French cooking. It was also hugely overpriced and let us with a feeling of great dissatisfaction. There was nothing in the menu and presentation that could justify that high price. Very disappointing experience.
Lovely space, menu options and service!
We used to love this restaurant before covid. Prices have risen and the quality of the food has gone down. But the staff and atmosphere are still very nice.
Thank you for your beautiful review during Covid.
This may be our new favorite date restaurant. The restaurant was both comfortable and upscale feeling. The food was amazing. And the service was some of the best I've ever received - very friendly and attentive at all the right moments while leaving us to enjoy our meal and conversation when nothing was needed. We will definitely be back for more wonderful food and good wine.
Thank you so very much for your beautiful review!
Always a good experience
They were very accommodating and we had a wonderful dinner
Fake flowers. No rose champagne. No offset for no rose champagne. Slow. Inexperienced. The owner knew us the last time and did not know us this time. Bleh
Upon entering, the restaurant was not what was expected. Once moving past the hostess stand, the atmosphere was much more enjoyable. We were definitely expecting much more of a “truly authentic French experience” as per what the website stated. Thankfully our waitstaff spoke fluent French, however it didn’t appear any other waitstaff did. The food was delicious and according to the French exchange student that accompanied us, it was very much like home. With that being said, the student was also concerned with some signage (hanging on the wall in the patio area) that depicted a cultural divide in France. Overall it was a good experience and we would return.
Bonjour, Thank you for your review. My name is Frederic Rongier and I am the proprietor, born in Paris. I always welcome my guests and go to each table every evening around 7:00. pm. That is too bad I missed you. 3 of our staff speak French. I bought all the decor from Paris, France, many years ago. I do not understand about a "signage hanging on the wall in the patio" as everything is purely 100% from France. We hope to see you soon. Please ask for me next time. A bientôt!
Our experience was great - love the new fall menu. Food was fantastic, service was great.
This place is a little on the expensive side, but it is definitely worth it if you want good food and a good experience!
Merci beaucoup Marissa!
You can hear how delicious the croissants are!
Excellent restaurant! Enjoyed the food and the wine, def going back
Superb food and service!!!!!
The food was good, but under seasoned. One should never have to ask for salt in a restaurant. Not a terribly expensive commodity. Tartare suffered…
Authentic french atmosphere! A nice time with a lovely server! Foe Gras was good but only for 3 if 4 is at the table. Dinner was fabulous. Nice wine to pair with our dinner! Took home half dozen of macrons.Yum! Hanging out with a french teacher makes it sooo much more fun for everyone! Very nice time before going to Van Gogh experience!
Thank you so very much for your very nice review!
