About Parc

Stephen Starr's stylish addition to Rittenhouse Square pays tribute to French cafe culture, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, ideal for a quick bite or a leisurely meal. Parc recalls the chic brasseries of Paris, serving classic French fare in a charming space. Red leather banquettes topped with frosted glass provide a sense of intimacy. Details such as well-worn wooden chairs, vintage framed paintings and photos and antique brass fixtures transport guests across the Atlantic. French doors spill onto a sidewalk terrace covered by a dark red awning perfect for dining "en plein air." Reservations are not accepted for outdoor tables.

My husband and I were in town for a Christmas party and decided to stay overnight near Rittenhouse Square. The following Saturday morning, I went on Open Table and was able to confirm a reservation for us for breakfast at Parc. What a wonderful dining experience! We were seated by the window, overlooking Rittenhouse Square, which still had a snow covering. My husband ordered the cheese omelet and I order the eggs and brioche French toast combo. As always, the food was prepared perfectly! If you like your coffee sweet, I highly recommend the Café Vietnamese - like dessert in a cup! Our server was friendly, prompt, checked on us an appropriate number of times , and helped us with ordering one of the restaurant's specialty holiday cakes. Wonderful!

Our first visit to Parc was very enjoyable. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary along with another couple celebrating their’s. We were seated with a fine view of Rittenhouse Square and the scene with the snow and Christmas lights was magical.

Our server, Lauren, was excellent as one expects at a Starr restaurant. She handled all our needs with a smile and competency.

Other than my wife’s veal being a little too chewy, all the food was very good, particularly the lobster bisque which everyone ordered.

All in all a fine evening and we do intend to return.

Excellent food. Biggest problem is how noisy it was. It would be great if there were wall or ceiling materials that could absorb more of the sound.

Whether my husband and I have dined at Parc alone, or with friends, we've always had a wonderful experience - the food is awesome, the service is exceptional, and the location is both scenic and cosmopolitan. It's simply an extraordinary restaurant.

Went here on a date; our first time to this restaurant. We were seated quickly, server was great and helped with recommendations, we shared several dishes and they accommodated us with plates, food was perfectly seasoned and done just right (had a nice steak for entree, lump crab appetizer, and the cake ice cream dessert).

Seated next to window, so the view was great.

Loud enough to feel private, but not so loud we could just talk.

The trout was super delicious and the duck and its aromatic sauce was enjoyed by my guest. I could only get a 5:45 pm reservation, but was ultimately glad since it became much noisier as it got crowded later on. The waiter offered great suggestions when asked. Our dessert choice came with chocolate ice cream - we had requested vanilla -which was corrected without making us feel badly. And the dessert was comped as it took a while to come out.
A very nice night and dinner, with the falling snow outside just adding to the overall good choice of Parc.

Beautiful and festive for the holidays! Service was attentive and friendly as usual, love the ambiance, and the bread is divine. The rest of the meal was great as well— but we always rave about the break basket!!

Parc is one of our “go to” spots every time we are in Philadelphia. Beautifully located on Rittenhouse Square, Parc does classic French and never disappoints. We highly recommend for brunch.

This is our third dinner at Parc and so far we have not been disappointed! It is a very lively restaurant with lots of chattering and laughter among the patrons. Everyone seemed to be enjoying a good time. The restaurant is very festively decorated for the holidays. It really helped to put you in the spirit! Our meal was excellent! My husband enjoyed the bouillabaisse and my Mediterranean sea bass was moist, flaky, and absolutely delicious! I highly recommend Parc for anyone visiting Philadelphia. A little bit of Paris located on beautiful Rittenhouse Square.

We've been to Parc before and loved it. Excellent Lobster Bisque and the Crab and Avocado salad. We have ordered the Steak Frites previously with no problems. However, this time, it was a bit disappointing. Its presentation was off. No side dip for the fries. The hanger steak was overcooked at sections.

Another great meal at Parc, which offers the best dining experience in the city. The filling in the deviled eggs was too much mustard, not enough egg yolk, but other than that, a perfect evening.

I was a bit disappointed with my visit here.

Atmosphere - In spite of a reservation, we were placed at a table less than a foot from the waiter screen (where they enter orders) and were constantly shifting to allow space for them to get to the screen. The whole place seemed to be pretty cramped - they packed in way too many tables which made it seem like they cared more about money than customer experience. The parisian decor felt more gimmicky than authentic and in the end, the restaurant just felt like a tourist trap.

Food - lots of fun options, and it looked really beautiful when it came out. But when considering price, it didn't taste any different then other (less expensive) meals I've had in the past

Value - pricey, but I expected that when I chose a restaurant next to Rittenhouse. I don't mind paying a little extra for a great experience, but I left this place feeling a little bit ripped off

We were in town visiting. Our niece insisted we go for their spaghetti and chocolate milk shakes, which baffled us... But we have to admit that her chocolate milkshake was the best ever. However, we enjoyed adult food and beverages, which exceeded expectations, as did the friendly and accommodating service.

The intent of this meal was for a quartet of girlfriends who have known each other for over 40 years, to come together from points a far, to spend an afternoon together. Parc was the perfect choice for this reunion. Since it had been 20 years since we had all been together, there was alot of talking and laughing. The meal ended up extending to an entire afternoon and no one minded that we occupied the table for four hours. Our waitress was a delight, and who knows, when we do this again in March, perhaps we will return.

The environment was warm and cozy like an upscale french cafe. Lovely holiday decor. Food was excellent. Loved the Moules Frites and the Beef Bourguignon entrees. Cocktail and wine were just ok. The waitress was a little pushy (every time we ordered she suggested something pricier whether it be drink or meal). Was also a little disappointed that it was clearly my birthday (opened a gift, the waitress acknowledged) but there was no free dessert or drink out of it. Overall, we will definitely be back for the food and ambiance, service could be better.
