Our meals were delicious however our waitress disappeared for a long time once our food came. Our seat was in a very busy area and way too loud.
Wonderful French food even though they are not French! Stephen Starr is a brilliant restauranteur. Love, love, love this place! And we did not even get to eat outside. Will be back and try that in nicer weather. This place was hopping at lunchtime with people pouring in--and it's big!
Had French onion soup(good) and hubby had mushroom soup(even better). He had chicken curry salad sandwich and loved it. I had shrimp salad which was a nice salad with a warm shrimp scampi style entree on the plate next to the salad. The shrimp were large and fresh and probably the best I have ever had(and I buy fresh shrimp at Whole Foods a lot). I asked the very nice waiter what the sauce on them was and he said 'buerre blanc with truffle sauce". Oh my God.
The fresh warm bread was unbelievable. Dessert: profiteroles. Lovely eclaires with ice cream in the middle with hot real chocolate sauce that the waiter poured over them. We had to waddle 6 or 7 blocks to the Kimmel to watch the Phila Orchestra afterward thank God or we would have just taken a nap right there.
I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant. Having been to France, he recreated a restaurant in the French vision beautifully. Everything was perfect. And we are pretty fussy. But we recognize excellence and this place has it in spades.
Great work everyone who works there -waiting tables, bussing, delivering the bread, cooking, cleaning, managing--we appreciate you all!
We went for the first time for our anniversary. The food was amazing. Our server made excellent suggestions. We chose the escargot and mushroom tarte for appetizers, beef Bourginon and steak au poivre for entrees and dessert was hazelnut mousse and an apple tart tatin. All were excellent. Service was attentive and responsive but not intrusive.
Great food and service but background music was a little too loud
Always amazing service from the staff. The food is great and atmosphere is wonderful.
I had the trout and it was fabulous. I couldn't eat nuts, so they modified the prep to accomodate me and it was still delicious. My wife had New York Strip that was surprisingly tough. We've been to Parc several times and this was the first time either of us had anything that was unsatisfactory. We won't stop going, though! Still one of our favorite restaurants in Philly. They make you feel special and I love that.
One of our favorites! We never miss a meal here when we are in town!
My favorites are the Basilic cocktail and the cranberry walnut bread with the dark crispy crust! YUM!
I didn't know Parc was item for breakfast. Terrific ambiance. A great place for early morning business.
Great food as usual. Their cuisine is spot on and consistent every time and very, very reasonably priced for the quality. This is the reason it is the number one spot in Center City Philly year over year. The only dark spot of the evening was our primary server. She was not welcoming or cordial in the least. She almost made us feel like we were an inconvenience to her. Never a smile, a thank you, or anything. Time for her to look for a new job where social skills are not a factor. Parc deserves better because it is a fantastic restaurant, we have never had a bad meal here.
Table was perfect. Service excellent. And the special birthday dessert was also perfect. My go to place
Nice but the menu is feeling old bland.
The trout is fabulous--seriously, one of the best things I've ever had anywhere. Service is attentive but not intrusive, and the place is gorgeous.
Great experience. We arrived a little early for our reservation and they were able to seat us immediately. Server was friendly and knowledgeable about the extensive wine list.
Get the mushroom tart! Wow.
Great French bistro with a location to match in Center City Philadelphia. The food is very good, and the bread is outstanding. The wine list is, unfortunately, terribly overpriced, though certainly extensive. It's absurd to think that the only acceptable bottle of wine for a bistro meal should cost a minimum of $50 (47, to be exact). Where are the table wines to go with the rest of the feel of the place.
Still, it's a great place for lunch or dinner.
The bread (and the rest of the food is) is so amazing.
Parc is consistently good. Service was exceptional. Had a great warm cider drink that really hit the spot. Love this place!
Excellent brunch spot! Get the mushroom tart and anything with the potatoes. Both were to die for!
Full of energy. Voice noise seems to rise. Table talk is not difficult.
Food and service was excellent, with one exception. The cheese omelet was bland, with no special taste.
