French
Stephen Starr's stylish addition to Rittenhouse Square pays tribute to French cafe culture, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, ideal for a quick bite or a leisurely meal. Parc recalls the chic brasseries of Paris, serving classic French fare in a charming space. Red leather banquettes topped with frosted glass provide a sense of intimacy. Details such as well-worn wooden chairs, vintage framed paintings and photos and antique brass fixtures transport guests across the Atlantic. French doors spill onto a sidewalk terrace covered by a dark red awning perfect for dining "en plein air." Reservations are not accepted for outdoor tables.

**A note from the restaurant**
Outside seating is on a first come, first serve basis.

We were celebrating our engagement and the staff was wonderful and accommodating with the new outdoor covered area. The most comfortable I have felt sitting anywhere during this pandemic!

My husband and I had brunch at Parc yesterday and it was wonderful! My husband ordered the pancakes and I ordered the French onion soup and sardines for my meal The food was incredible, so much that my hismabc made a reservation for dinner in two weeks! This place is a winner!

Parc could not have done a better job in these pandemic times, creating great outdoor dining spaces. We were in one of the private outdoor "pods," which was awesome--roomy, comfortable and safe. The service was absolutely fantastic--attentive, friendly and helpful. Everything we ordered was great too--cheese plate, onion soup, salad, steak frites, sea bass, cocktails and wine. Only did some macrons for dessert as we were stuffed. These are such difficulty times for restaurants. To pivot and be able to deliver a perfect dining experience is a tough chore--but they did it here. Looking forward to returning again soon.

Food and service were incredible. The only issue my party encountered, which wasn't necessarily Parc's fault, was that we had 4-5 homeless people approach us while eating asking for food and/or money.

One word: divine. Having passed Parc every day, this was my first time experiencing it. While the price is high, you pay for what you get. They treat you like a VIP.

As we have come to expect our latest experience at Parc was excellent. The food, service, and setting (outdoors) were all excellent. It was a wonderful evening to celebrate my spouse’s birthday.

This is the first time I’ve given Parc less than a perfect score for everything. One of our favorite restaurants in the city and we’re there at least twice a month. At this particular visit we were just really disappointed. The food was amazing as always but we weren’t seated until 30 mins after our reservation, our table wasn’t set for the amount of people on the reservations and we had to wait a while after asking twice for cutlery, they forgot a high chair for our 15m old and we had to wait for that as well, and everything came out late. We waited probably close to 30 mins for our entrees after finishing our appetizers. I understand that restaurants get busy, but I feel like a restaurant like parc should be better at adjusting to make sure customers receive the experience they’ve come to enjoy and starr restaurants pride themselves on. Still all love, just a disappointing experience this time.

Live in the area. Go there often. Food is declining but I understand the circumstances with COVID. Half glass of water. Asked for lemon 3x. Never got it. Lobster was jelly-like and swimming in butter and garlic. Didn’t like it at all

Was hoping for one more great indoor meal before the Philadelphia ban takes place. Unfortunately the food did not live up to its normal excellent level. The bread offering, excellent as usual. The French Onion soup was outstanding, as usual. One of the best versions offered locally. Unfortunately the Lobster Frites was grossly overcooked. The Lobster was mushy and lacked flavor, very disappointing for a $52 entree. My Apple Tarte Tatin was not warm or fresh. Service was spotty. Perhaps the staff was already in close down mode? Shame, as I have had the exact same items before, and they were great. Hopefully 2021 Parc returns to its normal level as one of the better Rittenhouse eateries.

The "pop up dining room" on Locust Street was warm and cozy but keep in mind we did leave our jackets on.
Beef stroganoff was delicious! Filling yet not too heavy. Service by Brandon friendly and efficient, very nice hosts and food runners/ bussers too.

It was windy out but we had a nice time and the food was good. The waiter mistakenly bought a hot chocolate to our table which then made my 10 year older nephew want one. Not to disappoint the child, the waiter returned with one for him on the house 😊

I’m very careful dining out during covid. Parc was perfect. Tables were widely spaced and heaters kept me warm. My waiter was terrific. We shared two plates and he served them separated and one course at a time. I felt satisfied and completely safe.

We were placed in a corner by the door which was not a great atmosphere. Then the waitress told us we had an hour and a half before our table was gone. It was not very pleasant.

I love Parc. However, we are at the highest level of Covid cases right now and our reservations were for outdoor seating. It was forecast to rain all evening so I called 5 hours ahead and asked if we would definitely still be outside under the awnings. I was told, “Yes you will definitely be under the awnings. We are expecting it to rain all night.” Yet, when we arrived we were seated inside (and my friend is immunocompromised). Parc separates its reservations for indoor and outdoor seating, so this shouldn’t have happened - they should have told us when I called in the afternoon that we might have to sit inside, they could have asked us if we wanted to wait for an outdoor table even though it would have been way beyond our reservation time, but really they should not have sat people outside who hadn’t reserved a table outside or have better staggered the outdoor reservation time slots. Granted, out of any restaurant I’ve been to in any state I’ve been in during the pandemic, parc has taken the most precautions. There are plastic panels up on the wood dividers inside and only one group per row and even then people are staggered. That being said, I didn’t feel comfortable eating inside because of transmission due to recirculating air (the large wall-windows were not open even though Parc has plenty of outdoor heating just outside the windows...I would have felt fine had they been open). It’s the only time I’ve eaten inside during the pandemic and was my first night out in a month and a half. We both drove into center city from 30-40 mins outside and wouldn’t have done so had we been told we might have to sit inside. We made the trip because we were told we would indeed be outside under the awnings. So we spent $200 on food/drinks and took a health risk only because we made the trip in after not seeing e/o for a year and didn’t want to just turn around and drive all the way back for nothing. So...disappointed in how that was handled.

We always enjoy coming to Parc. We enjoyed our visit and our meal. We did however, this one time, find the service staff to be lacking. It may be the COVID environment, wearing masks, etc., but they seemed unfriendly and a little abrupt.
