I made a reservation 4 weeks ago for breakfast and requested a table overlooking the park. They put us in the middle of the dining room. Then when we asked to move they put us in a corner looking at the bus station. Not appealing. They should do better than that.
We had a great dining experience at the Parc tonight, the service was excellent, the food was well prepared and tasty, and the overall experience was fantastic. We really enjoyed the meal and the restaurant itself is beautiful. I would go here again without hesitation.
We love Parc and our most recent visit is no exception! Great food friendly staff, never disappoints.
Everything was fantastic! A little pricey but the quality was worth it! We got the chicken liver parfait and mushroom tart for our appetizers and both are highly recommended!!! The sandwiches were good but we definitely should've done more hors d'oeuvres!! Looking forward to coming back!
I feel transported to France when we dine at Parc. The menu feels a touch limited, but it’s options are diverse, and my wife and I have a few faves. The breads alone are worth it. The tarte tatin should be more carameliized, but is still very tasty. Always a good choice.
Hostess was completely rude and greeted us with a frown, and spoke to us very curtly. Definitely not hostess material. The food was excellent, however my first two choices were not available, they had run out! Not a good look for a four star restaurant. It was very noisy as well, but was to be expected in a space like this.
Not a bad experience but a couple of hiccups. First we ordered crab legs but received lobster. Obviously not the worst mistake in the world but... the main issue was the location of our table. It was a colder night and some people were eating outside (don’t know how). Our table was located near the back service entrance and every other minute or so we got an arctic blast. Luckily as night fell the diners outside dwindled, and the cold blasts lessened. On a positive note all the food was good and we received complimentary macaroons for dessert. Good experience but could have been better.
It was my Birthday, but I never put that on Reservation.
I have dined here several times before so we knew what to expect. I was disappointed however when I asked for a bread basket from our waitress and she never returned with one. I noticed every table around us had bread on the table, but we were never offered any bread at all whatsoever. We arrived after 11 AM, which our waitress said was when they usually bring the basket of bread.
We waited a while and bread never came. I ended up asking a busboy to bring some.
Made a reservation so we were seated at the window facing the Square. Great people watching site. Good brunch.
Food was exceptional, service was great. Celebrating a birthday and a candle was brought in our dessert.
Food was good although expected better. Recommend the escargot!
Waiter rushed us, even though it was an early reservation so we
Could enjoy a night out from our 17 month old to celebrate our anniversary...the food was OK...ambience and place overall was great.
Fabulous food consistently served in this center city gem. Superb service. Always busy so reservations are usually necessary.
Prime rib and chocolate desserts were delicious.
One of Philly's best. Always consistent and great for any occasion. My favorite spot for brunch in the city!
Excellent service, delicious food. We were seated at a cozy window table for two and were treated very well. The staff brought out our macaroons for my birthday. I felt like royalty. Thank you!!
Came here with my girlfriend for Valentines day. The food was amazing, the menu had a great variety but I didn't feel lost in it. The staff was very hands on and professional. The wine list was great. I'm definitely going to be coming here again.
Classic French food, bistro atmosphere, attentive service.
Loved our first experience at Parc! Fabulous French onion soup, steak au poivre and delicious hand crafted cocktails. William was very attentive and we enjoyed a cozy table by the window. Will definitely return to this great restaurant!
Our meals were delicious however our waitress disappeared for a long time once our food came. Our seat was in a very busy area and way too loud.
Wonderful French food even though they are not French! Stephen Starr is a brilliant restauranteur. Love, love, love this place! And we did not even get to eat outside. Will be back and try that in nicer weather. This place was hopping at lunchtime with people pouring in--and it's big!
Had French onion soup(good) and hubby had mushroom soup(even better). He had chicken curry salad sandwich and loved it. I had shrimp salad which was a nice salad with a warm shrimp scampi style entree on the plate next to the salad. The shrimp were large and fresh and probably the best I have ever had(and I buy fresh shrimp at Whole Foods a lot). I asked the very nice waiter what the sauce on them was and he said 'buerre blanc with truffle sauce". Oh my God.
The fresh warm bread was unbelievable. Dessert: profiteroles. Lovely eclaires with ice cream in the middle with hot real chocolate sauce that the waiter poured over them. We had to waddle 6 or 7 blocks to the Kimmel to watch the Phila Orchestra afterward thank God or we would have just taken a nap right there.
I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant. Having been to France, he recreated a restaurant in the French vision beautifully. Everything was perfect. And we are pretty fussy. But we recognize excellence and this place has it in spades.
Great work everyone who works there -waiting tables, bussing, delivering the bread, cooking, cleaning, managing--we appreciate you all!
We went for the first time for our anniversary. The food was amazing. Our server made excellent suggestions. We chose the escargot and mushroom tarte for appetizers, beef Bourginon and steak au poivre for entrees and dessert was hazelnut mousse and an apple tart tatin. All were excellent. Service was attentive and responsive but not intrusive.
Went out for Valentine's day and it was everything I wanted it to be.
Great food and service but background music was a little too loud
Always amazing service from the staff. The food is great and atmosphere is wonderful.
I had the trout and it was fabulous. I couldn't eat nuts, so they modified the prep to accomodate me and it was still delicious. My wife had New York Strip that was surprisingly tough. We've been to Parc several times and this was the first time either of us had anything that was unsatisfactory. We won't stop going, though! Still one of our favorite restaurants in Philly. They make you feel special and I love that.
One of our favorites! We never miss a meal here when we are in town!
My favorites are the Basilic cocktail and the cranberry walnut bread with the dark crispy crust! YUM!
I didn't know Parc was item for breakfast. Terrific ambiance. A great place for early morning business.
Great food as usual. Their cuisine is spot on and consistent every time and very, very reasonably priced for the quality. This is the reason it is the number one spot in Center City Philly year over year. The only dark spot of the evening was our primary server. She was not welcoming or cordial in the least. She almost made us feel like we were an inconvenience to her. Never a smile, a thank you, or anything. Time for her to look for a new job where social skills are not a factor. Parc deserves better because it is a fantastic restaurant, we have never had a bad meal here.
Table was perfect. Service excellent. And the special birthday dessert was also perfect. My go to place
