**A note from the restaurant**
Outside seating is on a first come, first serve basis.
Delicious food! We followed our server’s recommendation and were very pleased with the unusual flavors—carrot and pineapple ice cream topped off the meal!
A fabulous evening in a great restaurant. We stopped in on our way back from Florida to New England as we did two years ago and it was as good or better this time starting with the great bread, wines and fish dishes and delicious deserts. We will return.
Parc is our favorite go to restaurant. Great atmosphere, exceptional food and always wonderful service.
I am a fan of Parc and eat there often. I also have had very complaints over the years, but the server who waited our table (in the back room, near the kitchen on the Locust Street side) was unfriendly, argumentative and really not well trained. I am sure she was having a bad day, but also feel she needed to be more empathetic as well.
First, she seemed irritated about my choice of beverage and how to make it (a kir). She started agruing with me about what I wanted to drink.
Then, both my companion and I ordered moules frites. My companion asked for a spoon for the broth and the server brought back one spoon. I then asked for a spoon and instead of handing it to me, she dropped the spoon in the broth of the moules and said "Is this what you wanted?" And it was teaspoon, not even a soup spoon.
My friend asked to borrow a pen and the server begrudgingly lent her one. The server had at least a half dozen in her apron. The server then asked repeatedly for the pen and finally snatched it from the table.
I gave the server a 20% gratuity, but now I regret it.
Definitely make a reservation. The mushroom tart was wonderful
great people watching place - good food - incredible bread but come prepared to pay top dollar.
Always a pleasure! Consistent and we are treated well!!
Nice ambience. Overpriced for brunch. Guessing atmosphere is the drawing card.
We never received our beloved breadbasket and service was slow
Everyone needs to eat here at least once. I felt like I was in Paris. The service & food was amazing! I would recommend the French toast with brandied peach. They make you feel like you’re the only there.
We went to Parc for my 60th birthday celebration. It was an amazing evening. The ambiance was incredible, the food was amazing, the service was impeccable. Merci beaucoup for an unforgettable experience!
Food was spectacular throughout our entire meal. From appetizers to dessert.
- Appetizers were fantastic: we had the Steak tartare and Mac n cheese
- The scallops
-Our only gripe was the price of the dessert for the size it was. Seemed about $2-3 over what it should have been.
Excellent food, courteous service. I highly recommend this place.
Parc was a great French style restaurant with a lively atmosphere. It sits at the edge of the park and alhtough we sat inside (and had a great time) the outside seating seems to be a step up in terms of atmosphere and people watching. The food was great too, the wine list was substantial. Highly recommended.
The warm shrimp salad is the best salad I have ever had. I get it every time. This is such a wonderful Philadelphia staple that you really cannot go wrong. I am a pescatarian and there is a lot of meat on the menu, but again also fish that is incredible.
I have been to Parc several times in the past five years, and it is one of my favorite spots in Philly. However, our last visit to Parc was very disappointing. We were celebrating a graduation and our party of nine had to be seated at two different tables. This would have been satisfactory, had Parc not seated our tables in two separate dining rooms. This was followed by the fact that the kitchen lost an order, and one of our tables finished dessert before the other table received their entrees.
The manger visited our table, apologized for the mistake, and offered to buy us dessert. We passed on dessert, but ordered a couple of cappuccinos instead. When the bill arrived, the cappuccinos were left on the bill.
When leaving the restaurant we realized the problem. The street was closed off for a festival, and Parc had increased their table count by one or two dozen by setting tables in the street. Obviously the staff and kitchen could not accommodate this substantial increase in volume.
We celebrated our anniversary here and the staff and food were amazing! The only negative was a bunch of college students that were giving the staff issues in front of us. I really wanted to say something because they were being jerks to the staff, but the staff at PARC handled it with class. Kudos to you! I would have kicked them out quicker and with much less grace.
Very cool space and the food was terrific. Can’t wait to go back
The restaurant knew we were celebrating a birthday and sent over something special for dessert. It was a lovely touch and very much appreciated!
Met a dear friend for a Birthday Brunch. It was lovely 😊
Strawberry Tart was especially tasty!
I like the ambience. However, the food is bistro food, not haute cuisine. The French onion soup was heavily salt-laden. The scallops were good. Their bread basket is excellent. The creme brûlée was not warmed and cold inside.
Tough to get a table outside and had to wait an hour for a table near the window. Request through Opentable are ignored
Crowded. Noisy. Good food.
Had a wonderful night. The waiter was attentive and had wonderful
Simply on of the most solid good experiences in the city of Philadelphia
Sat outside on Locust St - nice weather but the lunch crowd inside & bus & other traffic outside made it noisy. Ordered the beef cooked medium rare but closer to medium. It came VERY rare. Had to send it back. Fries were over-salted. Shrimp salad was fine though dressing non-descript, bland, inadequate. Breads were great.
Overall a positive experience. Food was good to very good. The staff did their job well. The noise level was definitely harsh making conversation unpleasant. However, that seems to be the norm at most of the downtown eateries.
Asked both times to have a table up front near the windows when they called to confirm, as well in notes to reservation, so it was great when we were seated in the back against the wall. Otherwise food was pretty great. Bread is exceptional and super fresh. Parc should seriously considering spending money to absorb some sound, bc it is a loud din everywhere all night long, which actually prohibits conversation.
My first experience with Parc was this past Tuesday night (5/14) for dinner with a large group of business associates. We were all from out of town and our hotel recommended this restaurant.
To start, we shared a variety of appetizers which we agreed were all excellent. I then had trout almondine for my entree which was again excellent. All of my dinner partners were equally impressed with the food and service. I actually enjoyed the experience at Parc so much I came back the next evening with a friend. Next time I visit Philadelphia I'll be sure to come back to Parc.
Perhaps it was just a bad day at this place when all went wrong starting from the corner table which in itself is nice and cozy, but was very cold with the wind coming from windows and the front door. I asked to be seated at a different table, but there seemed to be no place. Some tables were available but I was told that they were reserved....hm...I also had a reservation....anyway, after multiple approaches to the hostess, they temporarily placed me at the bar. I was told that the table was about to be ready soon, the guests were paying the bill, so I would be seated shortly. This turned into additional 30 min wait and only after confronting the hostess, the manager, and threatening to leave, did they pay attention and seated me. The waiter was very nice and attentive, but this was not my day with the menu either....mushroom pastry starter was charred, I wish I took the photo, and the crab/avocado salad had too much salt. It is amazing that this restaurant has such high reviews , perhaps it was simply not my day....
This is my second visit to Parc in the last two years and is my go to place when I visit Philadelphia. The food and service are always outstanding. Lots of traditional French choices, and all that I have tried are exceptional. The atmosphere is what I have experienced in Paris and brings back many fond memories. You can’t go wrong with Parc!
Our waiter, Angel was fantastic. The kitchen staff struggled to accommodate food allergies and the food took very long to come out. Go for seafood, it’s fantastic. The Steak Frites was sub par.
Excellent spot to people watch while enjoying great fare.
Had to send my meal back twice for undercooked food.
Great as always! Whenever we need a remembrance of our last Paris visit - Parc is the place!
Food is always the best here. The duck is soft and melts in your mouth. My wife had the the lamb shank. This pulls apart and tastes amazing. Not to mention. It's huge! Always a good time.
Muy buen servicio pero la carne no llegó cocido según lo pedido; todo el resto impecable.
We make Parc our yearly Mother’s Day spot. We visit other times for birthdays, etc. I enjoy the atmosphere and of course the food.
