I love Paramount Room. If you're looking for really good and interesting meal choices i a hip atmosphere that is not pretentious then this is a good place for you. The bartenders are skilled, the servers are friendly and knowledgeable, the booths are comfortable, management is helpful and accommodating and did I mention that the tempura green beans are delightful?

Paramount Room was great, as always. Food was excellent, and the bartender was really helpful. He did beer pairings with each course, and the beers went with the food perfectly.

LIMITED MENU. Decent food, but not as good as they pretend it is. They charge inflated prices for slightly elevated pub grub. Expensive beer. Low key staff, but hard to get attention, too.

My sister's and I ate here for a Sunday brunch during Restaurant week and we were very pleased. They had tasty cocktails and the food was delicious, particularly the breakfast BLT (my favorite) and the brioche french toast. I would like to see this place at night because the ambiance downstairs was very eclectic and interesting. I will definitely come back!

Have been here a few time and have enjoyed my visit every time. The only reason that my ratings were low is because all of our burgers were over cooked (i.e., asked for medium rare got medium well), and plates looked hastily put together (i.e., ordered an egg and bacon on my burger and they were on my fries). Overall though it was a great time and we will definitely be back again.

Great website...in contrast to experience. Place was empty on a Saturday night. We were there with family (5). Cocktails were small and watery. Menu was interesting but food poorly executed. Both chicken entree and onion rings appetizer were over fried by A LOT, "pulled" pork sandwich was fatty. Service was ok...highlight was happy greeting from bartender. The music was loud making conversation difficult. We had such high expectations after viewing the website which made it look chic and delicious. Sigh...it was not for us.

The restaurant needs to invest in an new exhaust hood. The dining area is very close to the kitchen and the hood does not remove the cooking smoke and grease very well, leaving diners with a very heavy grease/smoke smell to content with.....

Granted I am partial because I live 2 blocks away, but the Paramount Burger at the Paramount Room is a top 5 Chicago burger. My wife and I decided to grab a last minute bite to eat out and about and we had been meaning to try the neighboring Paramount Room. It delivered. The Paramount Burger is huge, so bae and I split it. It was a magical moment in my mouth and I'll definitely be back for more.

I am on a mission to find the best fish-n-chips in Chicago, and so far this ranks the best. Hot, fresh, and quick! However, if you like tatar sauce with your fish, you must bring your own! Great drink options as well. Excellent service. I believe our server's names was Julianna. She was knowledgeable of the menu, and very attentive! Definitely returning!

Best Cuban sandwich I've ever had! Cocktails were innovative and delicious. Service was outstanding. Our waitress was engaging and fun. The owner personally thanked us for coming in. On top of that, we booked our original reservation for 5 people at noon. We ended up getting there at 11:30 with 7 people and they managed it flawlessly! Can't wait to return.

After reading about Paramount Room online we were excited to give it a try. Our hamburgers were very good, as well as the fries and fried tempura green beans. Our server , tho, was indifferent. She spoiled the good mood we had when we entered. The drinks she brought were not at all good. My cosmopolitan was served in a wine glass and didn't taste like it was mixed correctly. The oysters were "ok". The main issue we have is an appetizer of calamari stuffed with sausage. $14. We asked if it was enough for three people and were assured that it was. When it arrived there were three small sections of calamari stuffed with sausage on the plate. Not worth the price. Flavor was good, but not enough to justify the cost.

Nice atmosphere, interesting decorations, good beer selection. Initial service was great, but it was 30 min to get the salad and soup to start, without any reason or apology. Over the three courses only the chocolate bread pudding with caramel sauce was delicious, everything else average.

Pleasantly surprised to find three bike racks outside the restaurant and a bike repair stand nearby. At noon on a Saturday the interior has a relaxed pub feel to it, with a modest but good tap list for beer lovers. I preferred my wife's simpler burger to my beef tartare. Looking over the menu the fare all seemed a bit on the pricier side of things, but I'd say the relaxed atmosphere and excellent service made up for the cost a bit. Would stop by again to try their seafood and for select beers.

Went to PR last weekend for the first time and everything was great. Wish I knew about it sooner. Really cool atmosphere. The Paramount Burger was perfect. So satisfying and tasty. Didn't order a drink but I'll be back for what looked like a lot of great cocktails and an awesome beer draft selection. Their menu was full of great options and I'll be back to try as much of it as possible.

But we didnt last Thurs evening. Steak tasted livery and gamey- I ate part of it because I was hungry. My wife's coconut rice under her salmon was pastie and oddly spiced-she did not eat it and the kitchen sent out grilled chicken instead of fried chicken. That said, our waitress was very nice, accommodating and took the chicken off the bill and sent out a desert. We did appreciate the gesture to right the experience. Overall it was just disappointing because I used to love the food and told so many people about this little gem.

Excellent food - we had a large group so tried everything from their oysters to their filet mignon. They have a great drink offering, too - wines, cocktails and beers alike. Really cool aesthetics - we sat downstairs but I absolutely loved their upstairs bar area the most. Casual kitschy vibe with nothing but quality food and drink.
