Paramount Bar and Grill Ratings and Reviews
I would have loved tonprovide tgis resturant with a good review unfortunately I cannot. I went to eat before our Hamilton show. We ordered Baked chicken and a burger 45 mins after we placed the order that came and advised us that they made the wrong chicken. We requested to have them spilt the burger so we would not be late to our show. 20 mins later the burger came out. It was a good burger however we had to rush it down. I would like to go back home we they never even said we will compensate you to come back and try again. Dont go before a show.
The atmosphere was lovely and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the meal and liked the fact that they played listenable music, not anything too noisy or modern. We were there for our anniversary, before going to the theater, and felt it was an excellent choice. We'll likely go back again in future.
We were surprised that the Paramount Bar and Grill had few customers. Located across from a major Broadway Theater, we thought it would be packed after the matinee showing of "Hamilton." Although we made a reservation, with so many empty tables, we really didn't need one. Our waiter was fair; English was his second language and, although he seemed to understand us, we had some trouble understanding him. Overall the food quality was very good; I thought the prices were fair. The only trouble we had was with a mixed drink that obviously contained no alcohol. Although we complained, no replacement was offered. We ended up ordering another drink with a shot of vodka served separately. That worked well.
My husband and I came here for a pre-Hamilton dinner on a Friday evening. We were in and out in less than an hour, with no special request to hurry for the show. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Our waiter was superb. Food was amazingly good. We each had the filet and agreed it was the best we've ever had and it was cooked to perfection. I had read a few bad reviews but have to say we had a great experience. It's a bit pricey, but that's New York. We recommend the Paramount highly.
Myself and my team of 5 were the only one's in the entire restaurant. The place is nice I suppose but very odd to be completely empty in the middle of Midtown Manhattan at 12:30 pm. It was ice cold in the restaurant which made dining there very uncomfortable. The food was not very appetizing. The menu was more of a NYC deli than an actual sit down dining establishment. The waiters didn't really seem to have much experience. I couldn't wait to get out of there.
We went to Paramount Bar and Grill based on its ratings on OpenTable. It was a hidden gem in the Paramount Hotel right in the theater district. Rodney was a fabulous server and the food was really good. I had a lobster roll and it was delicious! The atmosphere was very relaxing, with low lighting. I would definitely return!
Paramount Hotel bar & Grill is a good find in the heart of the theatre district. We had a fine meal, in a nice setting, and had an attentive waiter. I'd recommend this place because it wasn't a crazy busy restaurant, and it was very convenient for pre-show meal.
I would definitely come back again,
Horrible ! Worst experience ever in NYC !
We made a 530pm reservation for dinner pre-Hamilton.
Arrived on time and let the staff know we had to be in and out in an hour. No issue they say.
Service was non-existent - 30mins to get drinks - very average - Grey Goose must have jumped out of the drink on the way over !
Finally got order in for dinner at 550pm. At 630pm with no bread or follow up service - no food In sight, we called it quits, paid for drinks and left. Argument with service staff where they blamed the other patrons for delay in our food - the place was virtually empty !
Thankfully Patzeria next door has great pizza ! And quick service !!!
Pros: Nice setting; great service; convenient to theaters.
Cons: Limited, lunch menu; cocktails not available. Bar didn't open until 5. Ordered a Caesar salad with grilled salmon. The salmon was very good but wasn't satisfied with the salad due to a very small portion and the dressing didn't have a typical Caesar flavor.
I wish I could recommend because service was very good.
We were excited to find and try out this seemingly cozy and cool spot prior to an outing at the theatre. The location was in the heart of the theatre district, the items on the menu looked scrumptious and reasonably priced and the ambiance seemed New York chic. All of this was relatively true with one big exception, the service was horrible, almost non existent. We were seated and kept waiting for the waiter to visit our table. It seemed that everyone around us was getting served and we were on an island unto ourselves. What made things worse was that when the first member of our party arrived, the waiter asked if we were going to a show; so, he knew we had a time constraint. Finally, I had to get up and speak with the host who gave us the prix fixe menu (not originally provided) and promised to come by to take our order, which he did. The food was tasty; but, at that point, we had to rush to make our show, so we could not fully enjoy it. As a concession, the host offered us one free dessert and one free glass of wine. The kicker was that the tip was built into the bill! No wonder the waiter never came over, he was going to get paid to do nothing!
Dined here before seeing Hamilton. Excellent choice, very convenient to the theater. Our Server was Ida. She made sure our order arrived in a timely fashion and checked back frequently to see if we needed anything. Food was good and fine for a before show dinner. The gratuity is included so beware.
Don't be fooled when you see something so close to Hamilton with tables still available. There is a reason. Bad food. Worse service. Understaffed, yet tip is included. I had low expectations after reading other reviews, but it was even worse than I expected. What a shame.
We were staying at the Paramount Hotel before seeing Hamilton at the theater across the street. We decided to eat at the hotel for the convenience...we were very happy with our meals. There were 4 in our group and we each had ordered something different ranging from a burger to fish to pasta. Everyone was pleased with their meal and the service. Our waitress was excellent. We were even visited at the table by the manager inquiring about about our meal.
The staff was extremely friendly, the food was very good; however, I was shocked to see that for 2 people in a completely empty restaurant, the gratuity was already added. Furthermore, neither of us realized this until after the play, late in the evening. I immediately called the grill, but was unable to reach anyone live. I would ONLY suggest this restaurant if the gratuity was NOT already included. I mean, get real! The restaurant COMPLETELY empty on a Sunday afternoon and there were only 2 of us!!! I tried contacting the Manager again on Monday, but after repeated attempts and reaching no one live, I gave up.
