We had an amazing 10th anniversary dinner here starting with great service at the bar from Cole, and more great service from Johnny as our server. We loved all of the food, picture from the hostess and comp dessert at the end! We love coming to Paragary’s! Thank you for making our night so special.
The food was fantastic! I look forward to returning.
Music was too loud and service was a bit slow, but the server was nice and the food and wine were delicious. The ambiance is charming (although they should have the music less loud or maybe just a different station). I’ll definitely return.
Great steak dinner. Drinks were a little slow in coming to start.
Seated in dining area adjacent to the bar. Very loud music playing. 70s disco. Very odd choice for a "french bistro". Server was inattentive and disinterested. Bar ran out of martini glasses and used gimlet glass instead. Comments may seem picky, yet these experiences are not what I expect from one of the oldest and premier restraunteer in town.
great waiter. kitchen lost our appetizer order though. waiter provided extra wine to compensate.
Sat in the Private Dining area.
Quiet and romantic.
Great for a serious date.
The course service was perfect! We were seated had our drinks almost immediately. The first course was served and so amazing I found myself chewing slowly so I could make it last. The dishes were taken and the next three courses were served in just as timely of a manner. The host, waiter and entire team were professional attentive and a lot of fun. Words cannot describe the food. The entire experience was amazing!
Food is so so, environment is great and customer service is above average.
Their menu sounds very good, and is creative, but nearly every dish misses the mark in some way. The Amuse Bouche was very good, but too big for one bite, and a bit filling. The radicchio salad was so bitter, it was inedible, but the duck rillette on toast which was balanced on top of it was delicious. The extra course of tagliatelle with preserved lemon & sturgeon caviar was delicious, but a bit too large a serving for an extra course. I brought the leftovers home with me. The main course of black cod with spinach & trumpet mushrooms was also delicious but I had no mushrooms on my plate and the cod had many large bones. The only course that was perfect was the pavlova with candied kumquats, although I think it would have benefited by the addition of some whipped cream. The meringue was perfect, still chewy in the center.
The server was very attentive, but not well trained for fine dining. Paragary's wants to be a high end restaurant, but it's people really need to visit some good restaurants to learn how it's done. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone who is a foodie, but it is ok if you don't expect too much.
Paragaty's is always a delight. The servers are attentive, the food is excellent, the atmosphere is elegant without being stuffy. I have never had less than a wonderful time.
Brunch was excellent
The food was very good. The wait staff checked on us often but wasn't annoying. It was a little noisy but after a large party left we could talk and hear each other
Great experience! Food was amazing and service outstanding. We went for our anniversary and we had a great time. Would definitely go back and share with friends and family.
Music was very loud but overall it was a great night
The pork shank was amazing!! We had been wanting to try Paragary’s for awhile and finally made it in. We’ll definitely be back for more.
The service was very poor. We were eating our salad and the waiter brought our entree. As they could see, we had not finished our first course. She returned the plates
Back to the kitchen. She then brought the entrees
Back out 5 minutes later! I was still eating my salad and the waiter just stood there and looked at me. I had to move my plate so she could put my entree down. Terrible!’ And my entree was terrible.
The food is always very good and the service is top notch as well. That being said, the sitting in this fairly new and remodeled restaurant is ridiculous! Everybody is on top of each other; no privacy whatsoever! If this was a case of getting the maximum number of diners in the space then they certainly accomplished that goal!
Excellent service and a nice ambience. Food was very good. Did order a squash appetizer that was uninspiring and the two red wines I tried were not wonderful. The Salmon was excellent as was Mary’s chicken.
We had a great table so noise level was minimal. Great server!
Paragary’s is amazing. The drinks are on point and the service is great. I love the pappardelle and the Rigatoni.
While the food was flavorful, none of our entrees were hot when they reached the table which detracted from our enjoyment of the meal.
The noise level by doors to patio is terrible. Tile floors, harsh ceilings snd tables right next to one another so that conversation was impossible.
Food was just okay but not much selection.
The Bernardo restaurants are so much better!!!! Aren’t they same organization?
This place was absolutely Beautiful! The Hostess was so nice and attentive when we had to wait for a table to leave for our reservation. The food was AMAZING!! My first time there, and I’ll definitely be back!! Thank You for a Great Night and Amazing Food!
Always love Paragary's! It was really loud this time but everything else made up for it.
Love the new Captain Ford cocktail on the bar menu!
Cauliflower Ravioli was amazing!
Took an out of town guest and she loved it. She was excited to hear about the new hotel coming soon!
Lovely Meal and nice atmosphere
We arrived early. The hostess was able to prepare a table and accommodate us within 10 minutes. Very very great service!
Much Too Loud to enjoy a private conversation
Just a night out with my lady.
Had reservations for 6 PM on a Friday night before a play at the Sofia. The atmosphere was very nice even if a bit noisy. The food was excellent for all four of us. We would definitely come back. The only negative was the poor service. It seemed like our waiter disappeared at times. Our food did not arrive until over 30 minutes after we ordered which I consider to be a bit long. Also once were done eating and wanted the check to get to the play, we had to flag down ur waiter and just give him our credit cards for payment without looking at the check. I will assume the poor service was not typical and we will return - - if for nothing else to check out the service again, but the food was terrific.
Fantastic food and service. Was a little dark and loud for my taste but it didn’t bother my wife. I look forward to checking out the outdoor seating as it warms up. Would definitely recommend, also easy walk to parking garage and B St Theater.
Love Paragarys....just okay this time.
Have been here a number of times and generally really enjoy it. Our server was nice, but we didn't get a lot of attention. We had to ask to order another drink, to get our check etc. It looked like he had about 5 tables he was handling so potentially a staffing issue, but overall, we had to ask for multiple things. Our food was good, but was warm not hot when served.
I'll be back, but hoping that this is not the new "status quo"
Overpriced for the actual quantity of food received. If you go, load up on apps and side dishes, as the main courses we received were sized for a Weight Watchers/senior citizen audience. After dropping over $100 for dinner. we shouldn't have to stop at a gas station on the ride home for ice cream sandwiches because we're still hungry.
The food was ok. Nothing that made us excited. To pricy. You can find restaurants at this price level that offer more in terms of food, ambience and service.
Great food, though a little pricey. Great values during happy hour.
Paragary's always delivers a quality meal and wonderful ambience. If you go during nice weather, try to get seating outside they have a beautiful patio dining area with waterfalls and lighting. It's simply breathtaking. Their food is always best quality. We did the Dine Sacramento deal - 3 course meal for $35. They only offer that during the event but you can't go wrong with any choices.
Enjoyed my dinner and time at Paragary’s ~ I got the ravioli and it was delicious, not too heavy and wasn’t too full to get a dessert ! My host recommended a wine that was also paired well with the meal! Definitely will come again. Good environment, good food, and good service!
Overall it was a pleasant evening. Our group felt the service could have been more attentive. For instance, my husband might have had a second glass of wine had it been offered.
We got there just prior to five o’clock dining room opening, we waited quite a time while the one hostess had to seat five parties before us...she had no help.
Food was tasty, service spotty, very limited menu.
