It was a great experience.
First time back after a long while. The food was excellent. The Pork shank with an apple treatment was very good. Bread fresh. Salad bright and fresh. Will be back soon. We are from the SF Bay Area so the prices were a relative bargain for us.
Great food..love the patio!
Excellent service! Really special place.
Our server was wonderful as he adjusted the umbrella so the sun didn’t burn our guest. We were there this past Saturday for brunch with my party of 5. Everyone had a smile and the service was wonderful. Attentive and the atmosphere so pretty and relaxed. The fluffy and moist ricotta lemon pancake was yummy and we also liked the French toast. I am planning to come again with family for a nice lunch out in the shade. The fireplace helped keep us warm as there was a cool breeze. I would love some jazzy French or instrumental music. I don’t think she noticed anything, but it was beautiful. I didn’t want to say anything as more people will want to go, but how can you not share. 😍. I wish there was something like this in Elk Grove for brunch and after hours.
Outside patio table was a nice touch. Wonderful experience
Great ambiance on the patio. Excellent service. Attentive but not overly so. We did not feel rushed and had a leisurely evening. I had an awesome desert, the ice cream sandwich. It was like no other. I would feel safe in recommending Paragary's. Could be a romantic evening or catching up with an old friend. It felt special. And isn't that what you want to feel?
Good Menu and the quality of the food was good. We were seated right away even tough we were early for our reservation. Service was slow and they were not completely full., but very pleasant and apologetic for the service
The beet salad was the Best!
There are not enough adjectives to describe our dining experience and I have dined all over this country. It was one of my top ten dining experiences and most memorable. Thank you.
Great service good food
Sat on the patio. Beautiful setting! Meal was delicious, not huge portions but enough. Excellent drinks. Overall s great dining experience!
Great for a special brunch with friends
Amazing menu! pork shank is best I ever had. Please Bring back the crêpe dessert! The fish special was also a 10
The brunch is so delicious and they have a fantastic deal: half off bottles of rose on saturday's until 5pm. The food was great and the restaurant is so beautiful.
Wine and service was excellent. Food was fair. I ordered their special-Sea bass-and it was very bland. I also ordered their mushroom salad but didn’t realize it was almost entirely mushrooms and a little pasta...and very little lettuce. Possibly my fault for not reading the description more carefully, but I didn’t care for the dressing on it either. The quality of it was good; just not my thing. The ambiance of the restaurant was quite nice though.
Great food! Service is slow so dont be in a rush. Love the decor and the fountains
Friendly and professional server! Convenient location when going to B Street Theater. Only have to park once.
Delicious food and a great dining space with an even better patio. But service was poor. Despite making reservations, we waited 25 minutes without apology or explanation. Apps and first course came quickly then we didn’t see our server for long enough for our empty plates and empty wine glasses to crowd the table. Would have liked to order more. Would give them another chance but there was definitely a disconnect between the quality food and subpar service.
Sunday Brunch was fantastic!
The food was amazing. Far exceeded expectations. I highly recommend the brussels sprouts and short rib ravioli.
The food and service was exceptional-however the noise level detracted a little from the overall experience. Although the food was wonderful, I also think it was a
little too expensive.
Everything was great. Kirt, you need to give us dressing as an option!
Food was delicious! We loved every bite! I would definitely go again!
We had a wonderful time at Paragary's celebrating our 35th anniversary. Food was excellent, service attentive, quiet and private Sunday evening.
We went for brunch around 11 am. The environment was great. Service was really bad. It took them 15 minutes to take my drink order, which then we ordered our food too. The food came out semi-cold and before my coffee... then once the food was delivered the waiter never checked in. The food was ok... very heavy and since it was cold eggs, it was not very good. It's a shame because they have a great outdoor space but the service was so bad I wouldn't want to to take anyone else there.
Lovely restaurant and one of the nicest patios in town. Service was excellent and brunch good.
My issue is this: there are no changing tables in any Paragary’s restaurant that I have seen - including Bernardo in Pavillions which has tons of families.
Given how dialed in restaurant design is and experienced the Paragary family is, this is no accident or oversight. It’s a conscious decision, which is what I take issue with. Our table had two babies and we saw at least three others while there for Sunday brunch alone.
So, why no changing tables to make your establishments truly family friendly, Paragary family?
Love the VIBE here … service from NIA is always over the top! Food is consistently delicious and generous in portion (I even order and love the brussel sprouts and I usually hate veggies!). It's one of our go to places downtown - perfect before or after the theatre. The ambiance is beautiful but can be a little loud when it's busy. If the weather is nice, opt for the outside patio - beautiful! The only thing we don't love here is the desserts, for some reason they never quite live up to our expectations … but maybe that's a sign that we shouldn't be eating them anyways. Will return again … and again … and again!
Great food waiter was fantastic ... we had a wonderful dinner with family we love the patio in the summer
Outstanding food (we had steak)! Absolutely delicious and beautifully done. The service was exceptional. One of us has some tricky dietary restrictions. Our waitress listened carefully, suggested some alternative side dishes, and made sure the kitchen staff was fully informed. And the kitchen staff got the message, not always true in many other restaurants. Sometimes the noise level can be extremely high at Paragary’s. Arriving at 8:00 pm was a good solution, as things began to wind down just a little. The room was still noisy, but fun, not intrusive.
Excellent food, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Couldn't ask for a better experience!
We had a wonderful experience and three out of four of us loved our meal. The fourth thought his meal was good. The restaurant is right next to affordable parking and to the Sofia, which works out well for dinner before a concert. Cole provided excellent service and his recommendations were very good. It is always shocking to get the bill for four people for dinner and drinks, but still, I hope to return soon.
I don't mind spending $30 for entrees if quality of food and service are top notch. My evening there had neither.
We haven't been there in a while and went back with high hopes. The food was just as we hoped. We were not let down and our date night was excellent.
Wonderful food but our server was remarkably poor. We asked about specials and were told there were none. Ten minutes later the table next to us got an extensive run down of specials from their server. Completely inattentive and any request for service like bread or a second bottle of Pellegrino had to be made to another member of their staff.
Restaurant was nice and the patio area looks great but they need to address this particular server as all the tables in her section seemed to be experiencing the same frustration.
We love our server
Can you add her to my profile at Paragary’s ?
This is of course one of Sacramento's long-established go-to restaurants. It deserves its fine reputation. On our last visit the service was outstanding -- speedy, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable. The food preparation was fine -- nothing outstanding but certainly no complaints. The menu selection is sparse, though -- only about three entrees that aren't either pizza or pasta. And the bar is way understocked for a good restaurant, at least on bourbon and rye -- no Eagle Rare, Blanton's, Templeton, Whistle Pig, Maker's 49, etc. All in all, fine, though, just not outstanding.
I really like this restaurant, in fact, it’s one of my favorite places in Sacramento. My only complaint is that they always try to seat my guest and I at the worst / least desirable table and I always have to ask for a more comfortable spot. I feel like this is because I look young, but it’s still annoying. I watch middle age and older couples immediately get seated at the better tables without asking. Anyway, I’ve been here about 20 times and I’ll continue to come. Maybe one day they’ll give me the best seat available instead of always making me ask for a table by the window. The food is excellent and the servers are fantastic.
Unfortunately not a great experience. Appears to have fallen off as far as quality food and service.
Paragarys remains one of the best Sacramento spots! Always excellent food and friendly, patient service. Especially when the patio is open, it is the most charming dining venue in Sacramento.
Saturday breakfast with my honey. The food very satisfying. Service professional. The table seating, however was near the door and the air was chilly for us. The table not steady.
