For an hour getaway from Los Angeles afternoon, Paradise Cove is a nice option. Drive along the coast on old Highway 1, north of Malibu drive down a private road to a cove on the beach. Sit at a window table looking out over the ocean a few yards away, and dine on comfort food. What coule be better?

We ordered and shared the Barcelona Seafood Platter around $70.00 and began with a shared Caesar Salad. This is a beer experience and we shared an IPA. We also ordered a Cakebread Chardonnay that was overpriced at $18.95 a glass. Stick with beer. Very friendly serving staff. We could have started by sitting on chairs on the beach, sipping something before dinner, watching sunset. It' a long drive from LA but sometimes you need to get away and this is a good choice.

Great location, on the water. food mediocre at best. VERY overpriced--quality of food not great. I would MUCH rather go to Malibu Farm..
Go here only for a drink and to share a dish.

Right on the beach. Beautiful spot. Very touristy but still worth a stop. Larger portions!

Get location, right on the beach, great views is all it has going for them. The menu is terrible to be honest ribs and cheese burgers on the ocean/beach? No... should be all fresh seafood... it’s on the beach. I get that it’s expensive but $20 for a cheese burger... they just capitalize on cheap food products to sell to customers maximizing profits x4. This place is for the vibes and views not for the low quality food.

We had a lovely afternoon lunch on Saturday. A waiter named Steve came and took our order noticing our waitress was tied up. Then Heather took over. Both servers were great. I had the best clam chowder I’ve ever had. I’ve Always wanted to go there but for some reason never found the time. I’m so glad we went and will definitely be back

Hadn’t been there in years although we live close by. Just wanted a light dinner so we arrived at 7:30 and got a Cubano sandwich and clam chowder. The chowder is divine - airy, delicate and NO POTATOES. Sandwich was okay, but not traditionally Cuban. Cole slaw was perfectly seasoned. Next time I want to try a burger or fresh fish plate. Prices are steep, but portions are very large. Parking is a hassle - validation plus machine ticket payment $6.00. Couldn’t get the machine to take my credit card so I had to go back inside and ask for help. Obviously the restaurant’s target population is summer beach traffic wanting to sit outside on the sand. At night, it winds down to a few locals and bar regulars - fine with us!

I specifically wanted to come here to bring my brother who was visiting from NYC for the holidays. I have frequented this restaurant plenty of times to know that a reservation is required. My reservations were for 2:30pm and we didn’t get seated until 3:15pm. Really? 45 minute wait with a reservation? That’s ridiculous! By the time we got seated we ordered our food with our drinks. It took about her 35 minutes for the food to come. So at this point my 2:30pm reservations for a late lunch turned into an almost 4pm early dinner. Really lame and a terrible experience! I guess from now on I need to make my reservations at least 1 hour before I want to eat.

Our niece and her best friend were visiting from Ohio and we knew they wanted to be near or on the beach. There isn't a place better than Paradise Cove! Food is plentiful, service was very good and you're right on the water. Lovely afternoon!

Was an unusually quiet night at Paradise Cove We like going there at these quiet times.

I will say that I was given the wrong vegetable, but it was promptly corrected No harm, no foul there.

Will go back soon again during the quiet winter months

Wonderful beachfront place where you can actually sit on the sand. We were there for breakfast and were stunned it wasn’t more crowded. Had vegetarian options which I appreciate! Loved it and will probably come back every time I come to the area!

A place right on the beach, outdoor seating in the sand that is covered. There is also indoor seating, but who would turn down the sand?!

Paradise Cove is a unique dining experience. Beautiful beach seating is perfect for watching the sunset. Their family meals are a fantastic deal. Four of us ate for$60 though we did spend extra on the Bubble drinks :)
The chocolate cake for dessert is also over the top, easily enough for6 people!
The wait staff is very accomodating, helping get just the right items for dinner.
One warning though- parking is very tough and expensive since it is so popular during the summer. With your meal parking is $6. Just to visit the rate goes to $50!

We made our reservation for Paradise Cove Beach Cafe at the last minute to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The service was fantastic, including surprise birthday cake. The restaurant is ON THE BEACH. The view is amazing. The food was delicious, with large portions. We are already planning to return in January when we will have relatives visiting from Cape Cod.

My family and I stopped by for lunch on a Monday when it was relatively quiet compared to most other times. We had a nice, scenic window booth looking out to the beach. All of us enjoyed our entrees including the hamburger with french fries, fried shrimp, and coconut shrimp. The service was quick and friendly as well. This is a restaurant I recommend for a casual lunch and a nice ocean view.

The clam chowder and the view are the reasons to come here. The service is not. The service is always spotty here, but we experienced a new low on our visit. We ordered a crab cake appetizer and two bowls of their wonderful clam chowder. The soup came out within about 15 minutes. But the crab cakes didn't arrive for 45 minutes... and then they were all burned on one side. I complained and the manager took them off the bill, so they have that going for them. But 45 minutes for an appetizer? On a weeknight, not during the peak season? Get it together, guys.

We came here for Thanksgiving Dinner, the third year in a row. They serve a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy and all the fixings. They also have a great sea food and huge multi-person plates to be served family style. They also have a great bar with tropical drinks right out of the South Pacific (think Hawaii). They also have beef and pork dishes to go with everything else. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant as the wait staff is friendly makes the meal a fun occasion. We'll definitely be back.

Sat OUTSIDE for quiet atmosphere and beach ambiance. :-) Great food and excellent service!
The menu is pricy so I only go on special occasions ... I wish I could go more often.

Note: Make sure to check the parking info (on the website) carefully.
They do validate ($6 or $8) but if you go over 4 hours it is a fortune.
