Food is consistently good! Portions are large and worth the money. Tried the shrimp and crab salad, it was delicious.
I had a great day at Paradise Cove. I arrived very early before my reservation with the intent of just sitting outside in the chairs and enjoying the lovely day and reading my book, while nursing a glass of iced tea. Will definitely be back!
Everything I expected in an iconic beach bar
Portion are very big. Good variety. I come here often. Best part is when you are done, they have a private beach which you can hang out by.
Great experience, as always! Very accommodating, beautiful view, kind service, and yummy food!
We enjoy coming to Paradise Cove...it's a regular stop for us when we visit LA. We spent my wife's birthday there recently and were wowed by the massive (and free) piece of double chocolate cake at the end of the meal. We find the prices a little high for what you actually get, but always enjoy the food regardless and the atmosphere is wild and crazy.
Fun place...beautiful location!
My daughters took my husband out for his 60th birthday celebration while he was visiting Southern California. The atmosphere is beautiful - being able to eat right on the beach! The food was delicious especially the mile high chocolate birthday cake!
It all started well. A brief wait for patio seating and a great spot. We were having a very relaxed afternoon watching the ocean and our waitress dropped the check several times but did not once mention that there was an INSANE $50 charge for parking for more than 4 hours. She decided to remind us 12 mins before 4 hours was up!!!! It then took longer to get the ticket validated and pay. We get to the barrier and we find we are 2 mins... 2 mins over and our waitress had not validated. As you so cleverly pass over the responsibility to another company we were met with a very unpleasant and passive aggressive man who refused to help and pointed to a sign which we had missed. Your staff clearly know this happens and yet still don’t tell customers, who you would think you want to come back, that you need to be out in 4 hours. I can only conclude that it is an arrangement between yourselves and the parking company. What a way to ruin a lovely day especially after spending at $150 at lunch. THANKS
The cold seafood sampler was disappointing and had to be sent back because there was a very long hair mixed in...
45 minute wait even with our OT reservation.
We had a 1pm reservation and arrived 15 minutes early. The outside hostess said we would still need to wait until 1:45pm to get a table outside, despite our reservation. We didn’t have that much time so we opted for a table inside. They squeezed our party of 7 into a tiny booth with no view of the ocean. We ordered a seafood platter and were so cramped in the booth that we literally could not see each other over the seafood platter. The waitress could have warned us about the size and height of the platter, but didn’t. Instead, she let all of us order large meals in addition to the platter.
Even though they post you might have to wait 30 minutes, we waited over an hour.
The tacos which are recommended felt like they were straight off a cafeteria line.
The she crab soup was the only highlight.
Food was very good with generous portions to share. Being right on the beach is an added bonus!
Food was average. Service was so slow... I would have grown roots if I had to wait any longer...
I had never been here before and chose it from its pictures on the internet. Once we arrived, we thought it was cool the dining area had a sandy floor and it was quiet enough for a conversation. Our burgers and fries were excellent and the service was non-stop. We both were happy with our choice to go to PCBC and would recommend it to others.
This used to be a go to but the last two times the food has been mediocre and today it wasn’t good at all. I asked them to take away my food and they returned with the manager who awkwardly asked me what was wrong with my food. I told him it just wasn’t what I thought and I didn’t care for it and he told me that he would have to throw it away. I was confused bc I didn’t ask for it to be taken off of my bill I just asked them to please take my plate. By this time the tables around us heard the manager flustered as to why I didn’t want my food so I reassured him I didn’t want him to take it off of my bill and that I fully expected them to throw it away and not give it to someone else. He said oh ok as long as your not sending it back. I told him that there wasn’t any reason for him to have come out bc all I said was that I didn’t like my food and to please take my plate. It was very uncomfortable and made me feel like I was trying to get out of paying for my food. Also when I walked up to the hostess stand there were 4 employees at the desk and not one of them greeted me. It wasn’t until someone with their back turned finally turned around to take my name. Beginning to end was just very disappointing.
Can't beat sitting out side with sand under your toes and watching the ocean as you eat yummy food! The chocolate cake is worth the splurge if you have lots of people to share it!
Loved the venue and the service, food was average. Portions are massive-seems like they might sacrifice quality for size. Overall fine for lunch on the beach.
Our waiter, Jose, as great. The food was outstanding. Two of us had the Huevos con tortillas...this was very good. Excellent ambience, decent prices, can't beat the location.
Family trip: four adults and two children 8 & 6 years.
We booked one of the terraces so that we had a fixed point for a beach day.
Totally worth it! We could walk off down the beach without worrying about our stuff. My one comment would be, if you plan to arrive before 10am, let them know as we had to wait a little while for the space to be set up.
Menu is great and the tacos went down very well. Family friendly and nice waitstaff.
They are missing a trick by not offering drinks/snack services to the terraces.
Go! And take the family! You'll love it.
It was ok but would definitely recommend this place during the day so you can have the view of the ocean. We drove from Beverly HIlls and it was a long drive and it was just ok.
Another wonderful experience at the cove. Great service, food and atmosphere! Can’t wait to come back!!
I took a girl I recently started taking to here. It was Easter Sunday so it was very busy. Even with reservations we still had to wait 50 minutes for a table. With hat being said the service was amazing. We were helped in a timely manner without mistake. Very impressed on how the service was even though it was extremely busy. I expected some sort of hiccup due to the holiday but nope. Flawless experience. Great job Paradise Cove!
I enjoy this place. Food is great! Ambience is awesome! The only downside is that even when you have a reservation, you still will end up waiting 45 plus minutes on a busy weekend day. :( Definitely you need to make a reservation plus expect to still wait to be seated.
Overpriced, poor quality fish, waited forever even thou we had a reservation. Go to Duke’s instead!
it was great restaurant for sunday brunch! Had a great service and felt like I was in hawaii.haha I will come back here again!
Waited 45 minutes beyond our reservation time.
We were supposed to get bread with our meal. We didn’t get it. When noted to waiter, he said we only get it if we request it!! Obviously this is BS excuse for poor service.
Very noisy and pricy.
We came for a late lunch on Easter. It was very crowed and we were really glad we had a reservation. Our waiter was very busy but got our food order in quick. Drinks were great!! Next time we will come on a non-holiday.
I made reservations on Easter Sunday for brunch at 12:30, after reading the breakfast menu and couldn’t wait to order the pancakes.. and how was I possibly going to choose a flavor??
We arrived about 10 minutes late, and were sent outside to wait at the patio checkin desk, in which even though we had reservations we were given a buzzer and told we would have to wait about 20 minutes. Ok, interesting. I decided go to the bar and order champagne while we waited. When I got to the bar the bartender was having a small hissy fit because he just got stiffed for an open tab. After all the commotion, and the other 2 tenders just standing around watching.. I finally ordered and got my drinks..
Finally, 30 minutes pass and we get seated. I quickly turn to the menu to try and decide which delicious pancakes I will order, and there is only a lunch menu. I inquire, “oh, no we only serve breakfast until eleven.” Wtf? Seriously?
It doesn’t say that on your website... if I hadn’t just drove 45 minutes with hungry guests, I would have walked out.
As 3 other tables had just done the waiter informed us.
After two different waiters passed us back and forth to order, we ordered burgers, calamari and french fries that took 45.. all of which we could have gotten 10 mins away in Santa Monica. Nothing special.. not worth the drive nor the wait. I will not be back.
The staff was great: we were a few minutes early for our reservations but they seated us exactly on time -- and even gave us the window table we requested for our special occasion.
Service was a bit slow, but it was an insanely busy Easter Sunday and in any event the serving team was great.
The only problems: between the four of us, we only had two cups of soup, two soft drinks, two mixed drinks, one shared appetizer, fish tacos, a salad, fish & chips -- and yet the bill ended up coming out to $198 including tax, tip, and the parking fee. Insanely outrageous!
Food was sub par, tap beer was flat!
Came here for Easter brunch. Parking on the weekends and holidays is $8 with validation (unless you are staying for more than 4 hours). We arrived a few minutes early and they had a hard time finding our reservation. When they finally found it, the hostess asked if we wanted to be seated inside or outside. I requested to sit inside but with a view of the ocean. A man seated us in a booth not next to a window even though there was another booth with a window view that was available. The booth seemed sticky and had a weird industrial place mat.
The waitress was nice. I ordered coffee, mimosa and the smoked salmon hash brown eggs benedict with English muffin. My mom ordered coffee and shrimp veggie omelet with rye toast. The coffee had nice presentation with cream and a chocolate wafer stick, but the coffee tasted awful. I had to add a lot of sugar and cream to mask the horrible taste. The food was good. It's a lot like diner food. The portions are generous. The prices are high but that's expected in Malibu. I'd come back again for lunch but on a day when the weather is nice and I'll request to dine outside.
The service was excellent. The food incredible. Very generous portions. The drinks are the best. The entire experience was excellent. I recommend it to everyone.
Pretty place great drinks! Food has a lot to be desired.
Uplifting experience for the six of us family members celebrating support for one in our party who is going through cancer surgeries, chemotherapy effects, with a salute to life with a thankful & positive view. Paradise Cove resonates with each of us in every detail. It was heavenly!
Really wasn't sure what to expect. Very fun atmosphere. Great for families. Our waiter was awesome. The crab legs outstanding. My fish was great. Looks like it could be tourist trap but so many locals we met said to go. Glad we did! Wines by glass selection was awesome too.
We chose this place for a birthday dinner. It’s was nice maybe a bit nosing for most. It was a cloudy day so didn’t get to enjoy the outside maybe another visit. The food and service were great , really good drinks as well.
We sat in the covered outdoor area to eat. My son had King Crab, my husband had fish tacos and I had shrimp. Everything was beautifully presented and we had a great view of the beach and the ocean. The service was excellent - very friendly and competent without hovering or being annoying.
Beautiful location, food is average, overpriced but they can get it because of the location.
The place has a cool vibe, but they turn tables too quickly. They also keep the air conditioner on extra cold to make you want to leave. All of the tables around us were complaining.
