Paradise Cove Beach Cafe
A reservation at the Paradise Cove Beach Cafe does not hold you a table but puts your party on a priority waitlist. Guests with reservations could potentially wait up to 1 hour with the reservation, depending on how busy it is. Reservations may check-in 20 minutes before their reservation time so we can start preparing your table. In the meantime guests may enjoy the beach and get some drinks and appetizers from our to-go shop. We appreciate your patience and understanding during these strange times.

Will definitely be going back!!! Loved the place, beach, the workers!!! Everyone was awesome and the setting/atmosphere was magnificent!!!
Amazing views of the water. We were fortunate to sit outside in the sand. Food was delicious. Large portions/family style.
Great from every aspect
When we made our reservation we noted it was our 63rd wedding anniversary… Not one mention was made of it or noted at the restaurant either as we were seated or by our server. For us it was a 2 1/2 hour drive each way and I would probably do it again sometime in the future. Aesthetically I did not expect Christine because we were on the sand, it’s a very old café but all in all we enjoyed our self and make them back in the future
A beautiful dining experience.
The food was good, but overpriced, and the service was poor.
In our party of four, two of us ordered bowls of soup that were never brought to our table.
Cant go wrong here. Large portions amd the view is top shelf. We had the Barcelona Fish Plate for 2 to share. We took half of it home.
Had a great view from patio seating. Service was not that great (our server was coming from break so who taking our order was least Interested)
Best beach brunch on west coast outside of my yacht😎
All of the seafood was fresh and delicious! The portions were huge! We can’t wait to go back.
I hesitate to use the term "tourist trap," but in terms of value alone... Look, this restaurant may have the best darn location in the nation-- right on a private beach cove in Malibu. And you pay for it! Most of the tables are in the sand of the beach.
The menu is not terribly inspiring*, but the food quality is quite good, and the service is friendly and attentive. That said, we waited almost an hour for the food we ordered to reach our table, and that's on a Wednesday at 7:30pm. My shrimp scampi came on a bed of rice with no vegetable; they could have provided a cup of coleslaw with it at $35.95. The French fries were some of the best I've ever tasted, but they were out of ketchup. OUT OF KETCHUP!
*The more interesting items on the menu (e.g., paella, cold seafood assortment, hot seafood assortment) were about $100-- meant to serve a largish party. They were not served for just a couple, so I recommend visiting with a larger party.
Terrible. We made a reservation. We arrived on time and were told it would be another 15 to 20 minutes. We waited for at least 15 minutes. We finally decided to leave. The staff was very rude. Why make a reservation if the restaurant has not intention to honor it??
Service and atmosphere were good but the food was just okay. The seafood were not fresh. The overall food taste were bland and nothing special. The alcoholic beverages, specifically the cocktails were good enough. If it weren’t for the service by the waitress and the ambiance, there was nothing special about the place. Will not be back unless it is the only place available when we are in the area.
The food was delicious however my husbands order was never placed. It took forever for our drinks to come. Our initial waiter Miller was great, he also came back after his break and continued to provide great service but Chris who covered for him was not the best. He’s the one who took our order and also lagged on the drinks. When my husband asked to change his beer to a michelada, Chris said no the beer was already waiting for him. Who tells a customer no? He also never wrote down my husbands order even when he asked what kind of dressing he wanted. Overall delicious food, great atmosphere, just needed better service.
We arrived on time, however, there was a 40 minute wait to be seated. They are short staffed unfortunately, but the wait was worth not only the food, but the ambiance. We were seated right on the sand near the ocean. Our waitress Jocelyn was terrific, charming and attentive. The calamari appetizer was huge and amazing. I had the BBQ, shrimp and fish tacos, along with the rice, guacamole, sour cream and salsa...delicious and plentiful. My husband had the swordfish sandwich which he said was delicious. Blueberry crumble topped off the afternoon. We will definitely come back to Paradise Cove.
Perfect place to chill out and ejoy good food, although wait staff need to be more attentive (pay attention to the table they are waiting on) and guest relations staff should review the meaning of the words 'guest' and 'hospitable'. Pareding around with thumbs up will not make up for the lack of courtesy.
My son’s graduation from Middle School! We had a great time ! Just the birds (sea seagulls) were aggressive and and ate our foods lol but everything is good! Thank you for the memories!
I made an reservation with 24 hours in advance; however, I had to wait 25 minutes for a table under the hot sun. Also, the restaurant had a very low service and at the end I had to pay extra for health fees! It was crazy!
Went for breakfast on a beautiful day in Malibu
We were seated quickly which was great. Our server was on break so another server took care of us at the beginning. He was amazing once he came to our table (it took awhile but he was Manning double tables). He was great, even did a refill of soda very good at checking in. Our server when he came back was not good. No checking in to refill soda, didn’t come around much and when he did I had to flag him down bc he wouldn’t come to our table- spent a lot time and frequent checking in at another. I’m pretty sure we ordered more food. He would take away plates from that table but not ours. I wish we had the original server. Food was very yummy and lots to take home!
Good food and great service. Excellent atmosphere and view!
Very good restaurant, delicious food and great ambiance. I just didn't like that you still have to wait about 40 minutes with a reservation.
Slow wifi made it difficult to access menu. No paper menu was available. Ended up ordering wrong items. Evening can be cold. Some heaters are not working.
Worth every penny! Perfect evening! Thank you for great everything!
Food was ok ordered the hot sampler and they forgot some items that were on the menu.
Great spot to soak up the sun and enjoy a few drinks and appetizers
Beautiful setting on the beach where you can sit indoors or outside at tables on the sand. Friendly staff who are very good at their jobs. Lots of great historic photos on the walls inside. Parking is expensive ($50), but all except $10 is validated if you spend $30 or more at the restaurant.
We love Paradise Cove and have been going here for years. We had fish and chips and it arrived cold. The server tried to make up for it by bringing some hot fries.
They changed up the menu, raised the prices and lowered the quality of the food.
I get it…COVID and all but you really pay for the view here. Food is mediocre at best.
I do love that they take reservations now…that is a definite plus.
Food wasn't that great. I heard a lot about how good it was and it was a let down. Was not worth the price or drive.
Terrible service from host and waiter, food gross
Must visit ! Great food ,drinks and ocean views ! Perfect for any occasion . Kid friendly .
We had a reservat
We loved it. And it’s such a beautiful area.
Sewgaulls landed on the table, ate our kids food, and waiter told us to throw ice at them next time. No replacement kids meal offered and nothing taken off the bill.
The drinks are good but the food has no flavor. If you do get food get the calamari and fries! That’s it nothing else’s! That and drinks they are pretty reasonable!
Very tasty food - mussels and clam chowder are just amazing!
I’ve been there many times and always loved it but this time was different. My food was cold and by the time I arrived home I felt sick. It just wasn’t what I remembered and I’m sorry I chose it for my birthday.
Huge portions, eco friendly straws, very comfortable booth, literally on the beach. What could be better?
