For an hour getaway from Los Angeles afternoon, Paradise Cove is a nice option. Drive along the coast on old Highway 1, north of Malibu drive down a private road to a cove on the beach. Sit at a window table looking out over the ocean a few yards away, and dine on comfort food. What coule be better?

We ordered and shared the Barcelona Seafood Platter around $70.00 and began with a shared Caesar Salad. This is a beer experience and we shared an IPA. We also ordered a Cakebread Chardonnay that was overpriced at $18.95 a glass. Stick with beer. Very friendly serving staff. We could have started by sitting on chairs on the beach, sipping something before dinner, watching sunset. It' a long drive from LA but sometimes you need to get away and this is a good choice.

Great location, on the water. food mediocre at best. VERY overpriced--quality of food not great. I would MUCH rather go to Malibu Farm..
Go here only for a drink and to share a dish.

Right on the beach. Beautiful spot. Very touristy but still worth a stop. Larger portions!

Get location, right on the beach, great views is all it has going for them. The menu is terrible to be honest ribs and cheese burgers on the ocean/beach? No... should be all fresh seafood... it’s on the beach. I get that it’s expensive but $20 for a cheese burger... they just capitalize on cheap food products to sell to customers maximizing profits x4. This place is for the vibes and views not for the low quality food.

We had a lovely afternoon lunch on Saturday. A waiter named Steve came and took our order noticing our waitress was tied up. Then Heather took over. Both servers were great. I had the best clam chowder I’ve ever had. I’ve Always wanted to go there but for some reason never found the time. I’m so glad we went and will definitely be back

Hadn’t been there in years although we live close by. Just wanted a light dinner so we arrived at 7:30 and got a Cubano sandwich and clam chowder. The chowder is divine - airy, delicate and NO POTATOES. Sandwich was okay, but not traditionally Cuban. Cole slaw was perfectly seasoned. Next time I want to try a burger or fresh fish plate. Prices are steep, but portions are very large. Parking is a hassle - validation plus machine ticket payment $6.00. Couldn’t get the machine to take my credit card so I had to go back inside and ask for help. Obviously the restaurant’s target population is summer beach traffic wanting to sit outside on the sand. At night, it winds down to a few locals and bar regulars - fine with us!
