Paradise Cove Beach Cafe
Saturday - Sunday: 8am - 10pm
This was my favorite restaurant & referred my friends & clients to go here but after this visit that has changed!! I will probably not return after going here for years! We went during off times because we wanted a quiet relaxing birthday celebration. The support staff was not responsive, asked for mayo & extra napkins to two different support staff and they never returned. service was very slow & there was a high volume of flies on the sand. Our total was $97 for two burgers, nachos, 2 sodas & tip & we had to pay $8 for parking.
This is a great place to celebrate a special occasion or just hang out for a few hours in Malibu. The menu has a wide variety and the portions are huge. Nice to hear the ocean waves that are close to the restaurant. Take a short stroll on the beach after dinner and watch the sunset.
The view, the view! What a beautiful view our wait was short since we made our reservations online for outdoor seating. Once seated the service was attentive but slow and not the fault of our waiter, we certainly did not mind as the weather was perfect and the view was gorgeous. The food was great and the portions are big. We had the shrimp tacos seasoned to perfection, the beef (tacos) was tender and juicy. We also had the tuna melt with grilled onions and a savory sauce was perfect the coleslaw was good.
Fun beachfront experience with excellent cold seafood platter.
Watch out for Lox very very salty!
Otherwise very tasty.
Celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary with "Brunch at the Beach"! For those not familiar with this beautiful cove, it's where alot of movies and tv shows are made since it's a private cove on the beach. Made a reservation the day before - for a 11:00am time slot - got there at 10:30 and checked in - received the little pager and went outside to sit in the chairs overlooking the water/sand - and just had a 'zen' moment to ourselves for about 20 minutes and then we were called to our table - OUTSIDE (well...canopy covered patio - with SAND!). We ordered the CARROT CAKE WAFFLE - OMG!!!! OMG!!! OMG!!! SO GOOD! you HAVE to order coffee because it's so cute how they bring the coffee! I also had the crab cakes egg benedict which was so nice to have seafood - at the sea! Be sure to get your ticket validated. We were there at a busy time, but the service was spot on - and our waitress was great, the food came out right away, the ambiance is wonderful . Be sure to order coffee or a cocktail and go out on the beach and enjoy the sea.
very loud with large party next to us, the waiter tended to them more than our party of 2 we rarely came to our table or refilled our drinks. The food was mediocre or at least not what we are used to. Shrimp scampi came with rice and not noodles and for the cost of $35 for one plate, definitely was not worth it. Prices were high for the quality of the food. Best part was the coconut rum drink!
Had a great time for my birthday dinner. Thank you.
Nestled in a beautiful ocean cove and being in Malibu it is not unexpected that the prices at the Cafe are exorbitant for food that is nothing to rave about and standard fare. Over the twenty years I've been going to Paradise Cove Cafe the Achilles heel has always been and sadly remains the service, especially at the bar which is a model in inefficiency.
Great atmosphere and amazing food!
Lovley place, quite, clean, customer service very nice, food plate size is huge.
The paella is excelent but the service is only fair. Not much attention to the customers. The view is great. They only pay $8 toward a $30 parking. Given the price of meals this is really obnoxious. This is not a cheap restaurant.
Totally enjoyed our lunch. Good food. Good service.
The food and portions did not warrant the $25.00 price ticket.
This is a great special occasion place, or to take out-of-town guests. At 9:00 a.m. there was fog that made the ocean look silvery and the surf was really pounding, high tide. Service was very attentive, although I had written a comment on my Open Table reservation that it was a birthday and our server made no mention of it. Food was good, although the pulled pork Benedict meat was lacking any seasoning. French toast was simple and delish!
We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Our sandwiches and tacos were delicious. Service was wonderful and it was fabulous to look out at the beach.
Great service! And food! And atmosphere! And drinks!
Beautiful view but the food is not great unless you like fried seafood (and that’s mostly what people were getting). Mostly greasy seafood. The other options are mediocre. Taco dish I had was cold and sloppy. Would like to see more non-seafood appetizers and dishes as well as “single” portions. Portions are too big and expensive forcing you to share. Location, the best there is. Tropical drinks great, food so-so unless you like that type. Would recommend and would go back for sure for the drinks and view.
For breakfast only! Always a great time to meet friends and family
I've been going to Paradise Cove for years, even before it was Paradise Cove and it's always been one of my favorites. The lobster tacos were one of the best things I have ever tasted...ever. I went back there with a friend on Sunday after not going for a couple years. There were no lobster tacos and the place didn't feel as "beachside hip" as it had in the past. It felt more like beachside fast food. I ordered the crab tacos, thinking I would get the big chunks of crab for $39, similar to the big chunks of lobster. Instead, it was some shredded tasteless crab and I was very disappointed. Also, the side dishes, beans and rice, looked dry and uninspiring. I love this place so much and the view is amazing, but if this is the new food direction, I don't think I'll go back. What a shame that the food has become a low priority here when the view is truly paradise on earth.
My wife and I had the absolute blast here. Service was great, food was delicious, and ambiance was perfect! We do plan on coming back very soon!
We were on our way to San Diego to spend a few days being tourists. We stopped at Paradise Cove for a late breakfast. The food was great. Loved the presentation of the coffee. After eating we walked on the beach for a while and then returned to the bar for a drink before continuing our trip. The bartender helped us with a drink selection
Wonderful location, every thing about my experience was above my expectations.
I understand you pay for the view but I still think it's expensive..also we came for brunch at 11:45 on Saturday and they stop serving breakfast at 11.. I think that should be extended on the weekend. Btw. The cappuccino was excellent but regular coffee was very weak.
Fabulous Ramos Fizz as good as I remember from years ago. Fantastic breakfast. Great location. Love this place.
Like going on a Cartibbean vacation in the heart of Southern California. Fabulous time.
The server was wonderful, food was plentiful, the atmosphere beautiful as the day was perfect
went for birthday with a sweet lady friend who suggested this spot and she had a great lunch and time together with me, you are so very close to the ocean, it is very easy to lose the cares of the world here and just chill, especially on a weekday, I will definitely be back, and get the mile high cake, huge and very, very good
Always enjoy each time I go to Paradise Cove, food, drinks and atmosphere awesome!
You canceled my reservation so therefore I will not write a review!
Recommend getting there before 12pm. Be sure to get your parking ticket validated or its 50 dollars to park. Nice clean 🌴
Great beachfront restaurant. Good selection of mixed drinks. Awesome view and very cool vibe. Great service.
Great place, have been there many times but they need to offer more for vegetarians. I usually end up eating a potato and salad or corn.. especially now that they’ve eliminated the salad bar. I knew what to expect price wise and their portions are huge but overall still a little pricy.
My wife & I Love the place. Like going on vacation without the hassles. Kobe ribs are awesome and they have Three Weavers on tap. PARADISE
This place is right on the beach. I ordered a Mai Tai and it was served in a real pineapple, I can honestly say it was the best I've ever had. We ordered the Barcelona Seafood Grille platter and it was delicious. I was so happy for the recommendation to go here and if I am in Malibu again (I was in town for work) this is a place that I'll be returning to.
Always great. Terrrific selections. Good weather area
Great views and food. Large portions. Good service. Hambugers are tasty, delicious wedge and chicken salad. Food and drinks aren’t cheap, but there are great views that makes this a great spot. Spend $30 and get 4 hrs parking for $8- great value!
Amazing loved everything
The food was excellent. We had a late reservation, arrived earlier, and we sat within 15 minutes. I recommend taking sandles instead of shoes.
