Paradise Beach Grille Ratings and Reviews
Gahhhhhh-such an amazing meal! Celebrating our anniversary! We had the crab cakes...to die for. We had the bacon wrapped filet mignon with Gorgonzola butter---OH MY GOSHHHHH! seriously died and went to food heaven! We will be back! :))) service was excellent! :)))
The service was great - the views were great. We sat outside and the sun was a bit of a bother as it was in my eyes and I couldn't see our server or anything else, but I could see my wife and the view. My wife had the clams and said they were great. I had the filet and it was very good. The mashed potatoes were the best I've ever had as they were tasty and very creamy. The best thing was the dessert which was the Paradise Delight - could have eaten another one!!! The only downfall is the parking situation which is difficult to find a spot, but we lucked out. It didn't help that PG&E was there tearing up the road and the sidewalks. But, when they have to do stuff I guess you just have to deal with it
The restaurant has a great, relaxed atmosphere, and the servers are attentive and friendly. Large bar area, also a very large outdoor patio. We didn't sit out there because all the tables are in full sun, and we'd had a little too much already for the day.
Sadly, the only area that wasn't above average was the food. My husband's burger and fries was good, but nothing that stood out in terms of flavor. I had the short ribs-they were served over garlic mashed potatoes, which I think were good, but the whole dish had a red sauce over everything, which kind of drowned out individual flavors. The ribs themselves were good, but very fatty, which was off-putting when you got a mouth of fat and sauce. It wasn't a cheap meal, and was a little disappointing.
By far, my favorite waterfront restaurant in Capitola. Patio overlooks the beach and the cute, colorful hotel rooms across the river. The food is great: From fish and salads to burgers and sandwiches. Brie appetizer with roasted garlic and pepper jelly is fantastic. Nice inside as well, with comfy booths. Clean restrooms (it matters). Great cocktails. I recommend this place to everyone I know.
There for a birthday.. they didn't do anything special for that. They were so busy, no problem. My husband doesn't like it anyways when I put him on the spot..lol. The ambiance was very nice and we were treated well. The service was spot on and the food was delicious!! We had the baby back ribs and they were to die for!!! The chocolate mousse was excellent!! They attract many people, we knew the food must be good just by how many people were there! We'd definitely go again!!
we were entertaining a business associate up from LA and received a window table over
looking the beach on the deck. Which was great. we could have a conversation and watch
over the beach. the dining room was to noisy! the food was excellent and many choices.
the service was quick once we ordered and the food was delicious. our visitor was very
impressed. thank you
My husband and I were in Capitola to celebrate our anniversary. Paradise Beach Grille was recommended by some locals. The owners lived in Hawaii, so the food we ordered was Hawaiian themed. The crab eggrolls were delicious, not greasy in the least and full of crab. My husband had the Mai-Mai entre with vegetables and rice. He said that the fish was delicious and the veges were nicely prepared. I had the ribs and garlic fries with cole slaw, and I was very pleased with my choice. We each had a drink with dinner, and ended our meal with espresso and a lovely creme brulee. The restaurant itself is nothing fancy. A few people were at the bar watching the game, but it was quiet nonetheless. We had a nice table at the window and all in all enjoyed our anniversary dinner. I'd definitely go back the next time we're in town and would recommend the Grille to our friends.
We enjoy the coziness of this restaurant. Food is very good and wine list is the best in the area. Servers are knowledgeable about the menu and specials of the day. During warm weather the balcony is a favorite. The bar is lively and noisy. Good luck finding a vacant bar stool at 5pm on any given night.
I had sweet corn ravioli and they were paired with bacon-wrapped sea scallops in a pesto alfredo sauce. Everything on the plate was amazing and I sent nothing back. For my starter, I had the clam chowder soup and it was so tasty I wanted to have more but I know that my main course was going top be amazing, so I was to save room. And at last for desert what is better than a light and refreshing lime pie. In my opinion, it is one of the freshest pies I have ever tasted. If you are in the Capitola, CA, and you looking for somewhere to have dinner and chill out I would totally recommend it.
Made a reservation to eat here for Lunch on Memorial Sunday. The place is clean with nice Ambience, we request to be out door facing the beach which they were able to.
The food is decent and service is good and view is beautiful. This place filled up real
fast after we sat down. I recommend this place but make sure you make reservation before hand.
reviews were great... very disappointed
soup was gummy...
food was unappealling!!
Happy hour bar was packed... We noticed wveryone having burger and fries!!!
we were seated outside( as we requested) but it sure was empty out there... only 2 other couples out there!??
Paradise Beach Grille was a fabulous restaurant to celebrate a special birthday meal outdoors. The food was superb, the service was excellent! Unfortunately, although we made mention of the special celebration when we reserved, they didn't do anything to help us celebrate the special occasion.
Our waitress Sophia must be called out as an outstanding wait person. Of course, the food was great. The ahi salad to die for and so was the sugar and spice salmon. Overlooking the water, dining outside, great food, beautiful ambience--it's our go-to place in Capitola.
