We were seated outside in the shade and had a really nice dinner. It is our go to spot in Capitola.
I really enjoyed the scenery, food, people, servers. Loved the music for date night. I will definitely go again. Highly recommend this place.
This was the first time for us at Paradise Grille and we were checking it out for a group we get together with from time to time to see if we wanted to bring them there. We weren't disappointed and promptly made a reservation for our friends in two weeks. We especially enjoyed the Crab Egg Rolls as a starter, and the halibut main course. Our server was attentive and we enjoyed the view, overlooking the beach.
Wonderful food, wife and I went this Monday ng Hot for our anniversary. And they had a great Monday nice guy deal on a rib plate with garlic fries. Must try! Excellent ribs... 5 Stars!!
Terrific old restaurant on Soquel Creek-Lagoon. Stable predictable LARGE varied menu. Also fresh specials. We have eaten there hundreds of times, never a bad meal. Great martinis; sensibly priced wine list. Rapid friendly service.
Very accommodating and great service. Food was very good. Quaint comfy beach side joint. Will come back!
GREAT FOOD. GREAT FOOD PRESENTATION. GREAT SERVICE. GREAT SERVERS. GREAT AMBIANCE. CLEAN. BUT DO NOT GO WHEN GUITAR PLAYER THERE. COULD NOT HEAR ACROSS OUR TABLE WHEN HE WAS YELLING - YES, NOT SINGING - YELLING, AND THE SPEAKERS WERE MUCH TOO LOUD AND SCREECHY. WILL DEFINITELY RETURN AND RECOMMEND, BUT NOT ON A NIGHT WHEN HERE IS LIVE MUSIC.
Excellent food and view! We requested an oceanview if possible, and the server even saved us an ideal outdoor table with a heater and an indoor one, just in case it was too cold.
Shelly the manager was friendly and made my daughters' bday experience even more special!
The staff were excellent and much of the food was good--but the halibut had been badly frozen--and at $30+ per halibut entree very disappointing--particularly after such good halibut in Santa Cruz.
We had dinner here on a quick trip to Capitola and thought the food and service were fabulous. Would definitely come back again! Great location and fun venue.
Gahhhhhh-such an amazing meal! Celebrating our anniversary! We had the crab cakes...to die for. We had the bacon wrapped filet mignon with Gorgonzola butter---OH MY GOSHHHHH! seriously died and went to food heaven! We will be back! :))) service was excellent! :)))
We done here often. Solid spot with good food on the water.
Lovely view, great food & service. I'd highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
The service was great - the views were great. We sat outside and the sun was a bit of a bother as it was in my eyes and I couldn't see our server or anything else, but I could see my wife and the view. My wife had the clams and said they were great. I had the filet and it was very good. The mashed potatoes were the best I've ever had as they were tasty and very creamy. The best thing was the dessert which was the Paradise Delight - could have eaten another one!!! The only downfall is the parking situation which is difficult to find a spot, but we lucked out. It didn't help that PG&E was there tearing up the road and the sidewalks. But, when they have to do stuff I guess you just have to deal with it
Nice view from patio, great service, very good food!
Sat on the patio great weather, great service and great food. The Coconut Shrimp was excellent. Dinner entrees Salmon Dinner was fresh and absolutely the best I have ever had. The Scallops were very good too.
Outstanding anniversary dinner! We're locals and already loved Paradise, but this visit knocked it out of the park! Great time dining on the deck with a beautiful view!
Even on a busy holiday weekend table was immediately available, friendly service, fantastic food!
We had the sweetest waitress! And the cooks accommodated a special request for my fish dish even tho it was different then they regularly serve it! Food was awesome!
The restaurant has a great, relaxed atmosphere, and the servers are attentive and friendly. Large bar area, also a very large outdoor patio. We didn't sit out there because all the tables are in full sun, and we'd had a little too much already for the day.
Sadly, the only area that wasn't above average was the food. My husband's burger and fries was good, but nothing that stood out in terms of flavor. I had the short ribs-they were served over garlic mashed potatoes, which I think were good, but the whole dish had a red sauce over everything, which kind of drowned out individual flavors. The ribs themselves were good, but very fatty, which was off-putting when you got a mouth of fat and sauce. It wasn't a cheap meal, and was a little disappointing.
We have always enjoyed the great food and wine selection at Paradise Beach Grille. Today was a special occasion, treating my husband of 2 months to a surprise birthday dinner with great friends after dancing the afternoon away at the Wharf House.
By far, my favorite waterfront restaurant in Capitola. Patio overlooks the beach and the cute, colorful hotel rooms across the river. The food is great: From fish and salads to burgers and sandwiches. Brie appetizer with roasted garlic and pepper jelly is fantastic. Nice inside as well, with comfy booths. Clean restrooms (it matters). Great cocktails. I recommend this place to everyone I know.
The mahi mahi tacos were out of this world!! Best fish tacos I've ever tasted...and believe me, I've tried a LOT of fish tacos! Views from the outside patio were awesome! Loved celebrating our anniversary there! Would definitely go back!
This weekend was our second time dining here during a day trip to Capitola. We love it! The food is exceptional and the scenic views on the patio are fantastic. Such a fun spot with great service and a long list of wines by the glass. Can't wait to return!
Great place to meet between San Francisco and Monterey! We had a family reunion of sorts. It was great! We left a message of greeting to Leslie and Gary Wetzel! A great time was had by all.
Awesome view and outstanding cuisine!!! We loved the food and the service was amazing! We will be back again and again!
There for a birthday.. they didn't do anything special for that. They were so busy, no problem. My husband doesn't like it anyways when I put him on the spot..lol. The ambiance was very nice and we were treated well. The service was spot on and the food was delicious!! We had the baby back ribs and they were to die for!!! The chocolate mousse was excellent!! They attract many people, we knew the food must be good just by how many people were there! We'd definitely go again!!
I ate there twice in one week and loved it both times. When I come back, I will definitely
include Paradise in my dining experience.
we were entertaining a business associate up from LA and received a window table over
looking the beach on the deck. Which was great. we could have a conversation and watch
over the beach. the dining room was to noisy! the food was excellent and many choices.
the service was quick once we ordered and the food was delicious. our visitor was very
impressed. thank you
Great ambience and view. Menu was varied and interesting. The Ginger Carrot soup was very good and the "corn ravioli" to die for. Who knew...corn ravioli!
This was my first visit to Paradise Grill for lunch with friends. The staff were accommodating, friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu offerings. The food was fresh and creatively prepared.
My husband and I were in Capitola to celebrate our anniversary. Paradise Beach Grille was recommended by some locals. The owners lived in Hawaii, so the food we ordered was Hawaiian themed. The crab eggrolls were delicious, not greasy in the least and full of crab. My husband had the Mai-Mai entre with vegetables and rice. He said that the fish was delicious and the veges were nicely prepared. I had the ribs and garlic fries with cole slaw, and I was very pleased with my choice. We each had a drink with dinner, and ended our meal with espresso and a lovely creme brulee. The restaurant itself is nothing fancy. A few people were at the bar watching the game, but it was quiet nonetheless. We had a nice table at the window and all in all enjoyed our anniversary dinner. I'd definitely go back the next time we're in town and would recommend the Grille to our friends.
We enjoy the coziness of this restaurant. Food is very good and wine list is the best in the area. Servers are knowledgeable about the menu and specials of the day. During warm weather the balcony is a favorite. The bar is lively and noisy. Good luck finding a vacant bar stool at 5pm on any given night.
This is one of our favorite spots to eat. We usually go when we can eat out on the deck with a view of Capitola beach, but the food is worth the visit, even without the view.
Great spot for everyday dining. Superior bloody mary's. Large bar and bar sitting area. Fine dinnig area adjcant to bar area. Can be noisy for early dinning.
Nice location with views. Sat outside, and it cooled off but waiter let us move to a table closer to heaters, very accommodating.
I had mash potatoes and they were cold. They brought another plate and they were also cold.
Excellent service and food
I had sweet corn ravioli and they were paired with bacon-wrapped sea scallops in a pesto alfredo sauce. Everything on the plate was amazing and I sent nothing back. For my starter, I had the clam chowder soup and it was so tasty I wanted to have more but I know that my main course was going top be amazing, so I was to save room. And at last for desert what is better than a light and refreshing lime pie. In my opinion, it is one of the freshest pies I have ever tasted. If you are in the Capitola, CA, and you looking for somewhere to have dinner and chill out I would totally recommend it.
