About
It was a beautiful beach day and I really enjoyed my salad with salmon. Everyone at my table enjoyed tier food. And service was excellent.
Great food and views. A fun place to enjoy friends.
(Monday) Wife & I plus our 5yr old. We were sat outside on the back patio during the early evening sunset (5:30p). Weather was perfect (last warm day of the year I believe). Crayons and coloring paper kept him busy, and the service seemed fast and correct. Staff all looked presentable and the surf & turf was good. We both added a starch to bulk up the meal as it only came with vegetables. Overall, we ate a perfect time, as the restaurant filled up just as we finished eating and headed out. So overall we had a good memorable dining experience.
Awesome! Shelly is the BEST!!!!
Reunited with old friend
best place to eat in capitola, great food and wine, great view
We had a wonderful experience! Lovely views from our table on the patio, our server was friendly and answered all of our questions, manager checked on us to make sure we were having a great time. I had the lobster fettuccine and my daughter had the ribs. Every thing was perfect - definitely will be back!
Of the half dozen restaurants on scenic Capitola Esplanade Paradise Grille is one of the top two. They have an extensive menu with plenty of variety, and a good cocktail and wine list. The handful of prized outdoor seats are not comfortable but is right on the Soquel Creek rivers end with photographable views of the beach. Indoor seating is pleasant but noisy. Our server was pleasant and the food was good by tourist dining standards. The bread was stale and my clams were swimming in butter instead of wine broth but still tasty. As locals, this is a place we take out of town guests but not a regular dining spot for us. We recommend parking in the large city lot several blocks away and walking down to the village.
No cloth napkins . Food too spicy not mentioned by server. Upgrade lunch menu.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and experience at the Paradise Beach Grille. The service was attentive, food was delicious and atmosphere was beautiful.
The food is fantastic and loves the live music by Alex Lucero.
The server, Brigette, was outstanding; she was excellent. The bussers were attentive. The steak was cooked perfectly and the jumbo prawns were good. The presentation was visually pleasing. Overall we were impressed with this casual seaside restaurant.
The nut crusted mahi mahi was fabulous. I go with my dad and it allows for perfect memories.
Fish was overcooked. Not value for money service good table was ready in time
Normally always a first choice for lunch or dinner... love the outside patio, tasty dishes, and overall beach vibe.
4th of July experience however will taint future visits. Unfriendly, rude hostess followed by an ungracious Manager with poor management skills.
Hope we lose the bad taste in our mouths so that someday we can come back and enjoy.
Great location
Wonderful Staff
Delicious food with a wonderful view
Beautiful view and great food/service
This trip was a little disappointing, doubly so as it was my girlfriends birthday. We reserved a table for 5:00 p.m. and were seated outside in the cold away from several heaters that were present. We didn't ask to be outside nor would they accommodate us by seating us inside or near a heater. The food was good but not very enjoyable due to the cold. I had also mentioned the birthday in the reservation hoping they would acknowledge it but they didn't.
The sun was shining and we could hear the sound of the waves crashing while eating eggs Benedict on the patio. Perfect!
The waitress was so nice and the food was amazing I've been there twice, once for my mother's wedding/birthday and twice for a romantic dinner with my boyfriend. The place is unique and lovely. Worth the drive from San Jose to Capitola, would definitely recommend it. 😊
We enjoyed a lovely meal on the patio with a beautiful view of the ocean. The food was quite tasty and the portions more than adequate. Our server was very gracious. The only caveat is that parking is quite limited in that area, and we had to drive a bit to find a place up on a side street, so give yourself time for that.
Really enjoyed a delicious lunch on a beautiful day! We were seated in a prime spot on the patio as requested. Service was excellent and we never felt rushed. The fish tacos were wonderful. The restaurant is a little pricey, but definitely worth it.
Our meals were excellent, my daughter LOVES your chicken marsala!
We ordered cho moose for dessert and were asked if we wanted to share?
Not knowing how BIG they were we said no.....and each left half of that wonderful :-(
Thank you!
Nice table we'd reserved one outside and got good seats. The downside? Why have an appetizers menu if you're going to bring them out at the same time as the entrees??? Also cheese on the kids pasta without asking? The word 'dairy allergy' springs to mind. Nice but we'd think twice about going again. $19 starter not a problem, $19 starter as the same time as the entree? Major problem!
Excellent service and food. So many items to choose from
Always an excellent dinning experience. Thank you for being comsistent with service & food quality.
Cute beachfront restaurant with flash frozen fried foods and subpar oyster on the half shell. Get drinks. Avoid food. Enjoy hanging out with retired folks.
It’s was very nice. Servers were friendly. Cozy atmosphere.
Great food, great atmosphere, friendly staff and great location!
Good was good but the NY steak was smothered by an aggressive sauce full of tomatoes. Wouldn’t be my first choice but will likely return to try filet.
The food and presentation was very good and our service was excellent. The only thing is the noise level gets high when all tables are full. Our overall experience was wonderful.
Great food, service & view! Everyone agreed the french fries are the best!
It is always better to be at the Paradise Beach Grille on a beautiful day, and then be privileged to sit on the patio, watching the beach and Venetian Court. My companion and I had prawns, she the Coconut Prawns and I the Haleakala Lava Flow Prawns. Both were excellent (we swapped around). As you might guess, the ambience was excellent, and the service was also excellent. A special note for the bar tender, who told us the prior name of the restaurant, Edgewater. Historian of the day!
We had such a lovely meal here. I booked via email with Alexia the manager who came back to me promptly and who was most helpful in assisting with our booking and request. We asked to sit outside on the patio which was lovely. The evening was a bit chilly so we moved around a bit till we found a warm spot under the heat lamps and the staff were most accommodating with this. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a lovely view of the creek and it was a really relaxing atmosphere and cosy. The food was delicious and the service excellent. This was a perfect way to end our day especially as the customer service was outstanding, all the staff made us feel so welcome and were so friendly and nice.
Espresso machine broken and the fish special was not! They “forgot” to order it in but it was printed on the Saturday evening specials. $25-30 entrees should have got their ordering right. We were on the deck and the heaters were not strong enough to keep us warm. Despite the gaffs I had a great time with my peeps. It was good but not a home run.
Paradise is a go to place for a nice meal. You always know you’re going to get great service and food!
Brought the entire clan for Christmas dinner. Food, service, and decor was A+ as always!
Went to Capitola for a nice lunch with a friend and our Moms. Paradise Grille is in a great, central location in Capitola. The ambience of was nice. There was great outdoor seating with views and heaters. The bathroom had an unusual smell to it. The food was well priced but moderate in flavor.
Nice quiet dinner setting. I had the filet and lobster special for $30 and it was delicious! I will be back!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and wine at Paradise Beach Grille, and the service was excellent!
