I found the food to be good and customer service was very personal.The staff was accomodating and the noise volume was good for conversation.Food portions were excellent and filling. i would definitely reccomend this restaurant to my family and friends

My husband and I enjoy going to Pappas. It never disappoints. The crab cakes are the best in Baltimore!!! If you like a broiled crab cake, this is the place. Eat 3 crab cakes (by yourself) and they will take your photo for the wall of honor! Nice neighborhood gem.

The service was good Personnel were nice. But the foods lacked taste the crab cakes were very large lump but no flavor potatoes mashed whipped no flavor did not offer any rolls or bread tables were very crowded. Bet experience not like the many years ago.

Eaten here several times. I’ve only had their specialty item, the crab cake. It’s a large, broiled delicious crab cake with either 2 vegetables or a vegetable and salad. For $19 it’s a steal. Rolls and raw vegetable assortment starter also included.

Went to Pappas for parents anniversary. Food was excellent and service was excellent. Red Sangria was delicious. Definitely the place to go for crabcakes. Never had a bad meal here.

Pappas Parkville is our go-to place for great crab cake and their special "jack knife potatoes". The food is amazing and the price is great. Missed our pickles and cucumbers this time.

My Sister and I took our Dad to Pappas for his birthday. We selected it because it is close to home and has food we knew he would like. I visited the website to get a jump on what I was going to select since I am allergic to shellfish. I saw that there was an on line option to make reservations so I used it and I was glad I did because I did not know it was Restaurant Week.

We arrived about 10 minutes early and the hostess took us right to our table which was near the fireplace which was nice. Our waitress Rachel was very pleasant and attentive. We loved the cucumbers that are placed on each table. I had forgotten just how much I loved them. I got the steak sandwich and it was sooooo good. My Dad and my Sister loved their meals as well. They took the crab ball appetizer home and ate it the next day. I was stuffed and we skipped dessert.

I will make sure to dine here again and soon.

I went to try their crab cakes. The crab cakes were good. Everything else was average or below (veggies/sides, appetizers, desert). Nothing really stood out to make me want to come back. I would recommend if your looking to try their crab cakes to just order them through take out and save your money dining in.

The building is very large and includes a carry out entrance, bar entrance, and 2 restaurant entrances. Get the right one. Only 1 is handicap accessable. The building is huge and old with lots of landings and short steps scattered about.
Our party was late. We got to see the dining room which is very elegant and a huge crackling fire on the stone hearth. Nice. Yet, tables are squished like sardines.
We met 1 couple at the bar tables for drinks while we waited for the 3rd couple. When they came we opted to stay where we were for dinner. It was far less crowded.
The bar staff was fantastic. We wanted for nothing. The staff was checking on us regularily for refills and such. The were a fun group. The libations flowed, the food was just absolutely wonderful, and we all had a fabulous time there.
We will go back for more and head straight for the bar tables. While we enjoy ambiance, an elegantly set table, and atmosphere, tables shoved so tightly together is not part of a good experience.

Our waiter, though knowledgeable, forgot to put our order in right away. So we ended up watching folks seated after us eat before us. He did own up to his mistake. Although, it was restaurant week, we opted for the crab cake platter which came with 2 sides and a cup of crab soup. My soup tasted fine. But, I saw little evidence of crab meat in the MD crab soup. Only a few strings were present. The linguine and marinara sauce was fine as was the mashed potato and hot bread and butter. I was pleased that refillable tea came with the platter. My disappointment was the crab cakes themselves. While they looked great with plenty of lump crab meat, to me, they tasted odd. I couldn't put my finger on it. One in our party described it as metallic. I was expecting a meaty crab and butter flavor. But that wasn't at all what it tasted like. I had to use tartar sauce to get it down. That was disappointing as Oprah apparently touted this restaurant specifically for it's crab cakes. The whole restaurant could use a face lift. Tables were packed in like sardines, too close. You could hear conversations of everyone around you. I just was not comfortable there and do not plan to return.

Another overall excellent meal. Of course the crab cake was fantastic, as always. The rainbow trout with a lemon and almond sauce was very tasty as was the blackened salmon. Other standouts were the steamed mussels in Thai curry sauce and the huge fried shrimp (both appetizers from the 2018 Restaurant Week Menu). Pappa's was very accommodating and seated us, as requested, in a very handicapped-accessible location which made the visit hassle free. The Bloody Mary was one of the best ever and service was pleasant and attentive. Can't wait to go again - and soon.

We were seated immediately and greeted by our server soon after. Our drinks and food arrived in a relaxing pace, giving us time to relax and talk after each course. Our entrees arrived hot and fresh and did not disappoint! We had a lovely lunch!

Pappas is a Baltimore landmark known for their delicious crab cakes. The crab cakes as usual were phenomenal. As was the service. The staff is friendly and very attentive. The decor is simple but the restaurant is clean. Great food, great service!

My Husband and I have been to Papas in Glen Burnie awhile back. Since we have moved to the area, we decided to have dinner at the Parkville Location. It was his Birthday and we both wanted to eat at Papas. We really enjoyed ourselves, and we will return very soon. I can still taste my crab cake. See you soon! Angelal
