Pappas Restaurant - Parkville Ratings and Reviews
Have been coming to Pappas for years - this was the first time that I was disappointed with the crab cakes! Very bland and watery. I had even purchased some crab cakes to bring home and cook the next night and they also were not very good. Hope this was a one time occurrence!
The server forgot butter for the bread and the Whiskey Sour. Server was also short with conversation. The dinning table was placed right next to another table and we would constantly bump arms while eating, due to close proximity. Pasta was good and so was the crab cakes.
Have eaten at this restaurant for years. The quality is something you can count on. The lump meat in the crab cake was way above average. Maryland crab soup was fine. I haven't yet tried their other locations. Perhaps, I'll do this on my next trip to Baltimore.
After hearing about the food, especially the crabcakes, for years, we finally went for a birthday celebration and were not disappointed. Although we made a reservation, it wasn't quite packed but soon after we started eating it was. Parking was a little tight and the table was small for our party of 6 adults.
Just a wonderful experience, and food was as all reviews said it would be. We had a drink at the bar, and ate the crab dip appetizer, while bartender entertained.
We tried the double crabcake, Delish and Yuuuge, and they spoiled us with service, including a taste of a desert that we did not get. We did try the Apple caramel cheesecake which was heaven. Definitely a favourite, will return.
we were told when we were seated that no orders were taken after 8 P. M. Would have liked to have had that info when I made the reservation. The table was very cramped for 7 people. Fortunately for us one guest could not come. It was tight quarters for six.
My crab cake dinner was very good, can't speak for the other guests.
We had an 8:30 reservation. We arrived at 8:10 and were seated promptly. Service was friendly and efficient. The server was knowledgeable about the menu. Our waitress brought the relisht ray and crackers with our drink order. We had the crab cakes, since this is their specialty. The food was hot and well prepared, with fresh ingredients.
We came to Pappas as part of an extended birthday celebration...of bowling & crab cakes! After a spirited round of duckpin bowling at Parkville Lanes (fabulous!), it was a short 1.2 mile hop to Pappas where the parking was easy, the service friendly, and the crab cakes delicious! A good time was had by all.
In my review I stated that the atmosphere was QUIET. This is not the norm as the restaurant has always been busy. However, one in our part is hearing impaired and we requested a quiet area. They were very accommodating and set us up in their upstairs which was quite quiet.
